Town of Salem 2 has different factions in it.
The Coven: The Dreamweaver, Enchanter, Illusionist, Medusa, Conjuror, Jinx, Ritualist, Coven Leader, Hex Master, Witch, Necromancer, Poisoner, Potion Master, Voodoo Master and Wildling
The Town: Coroner, Investigator, Lookout, Psychic, Seer, Sheriff, Spy, Tracker, Deputy, Trickster, Veteran, Vigilante, Jailor, Mayor, Monarch, Prosecutor, Bodyguard, Cleric, Crusader, Trapper, Admirer and Amnesiac
The Neutral Apocalypse: Baker, Famine, Berserker, War, Plaguebearer, Pestilence, Soul Collector and Death
Neutral Evil: Executioner, Jester, Doomsayer, Pirate
Neutral Killing: Arsonist, Serial Killer, Shroud and Werewolf

That first game was beyond comical how it ended up
I previously messed up with witch too, it's a bit confusing that in order to carry out your attack, you need to set both targets, setting just 1(the target) causes you not to perform your night ability and thus not attack if you got book. I'm guessing that's what happened initially, and then they messed up since they didn't keep in mind the remaining town was a TP claim(it would've even ended in town win if it was a crus, for instance)
It'd be cool if they made it so everyone shows up at the socialite's house during the party. 🎉
You should be able to walk around and interact with party favors or something. Maybe disguised so you can't see who's jailor.

@@Obsructor2 I had similar situation where coroner claimed TI instead of the actual role and I shot him as deputy. Whole lobby blamed me for "throwing" after that.

I hope to the TOS Gods that the Coro in that second game was reported for gamethrowing, I 100% agree with you Pipe, that person was a moron. I don't understand how New Players are this dumb when if I remember BMG implemented that Tutorial System or whatever it was to help New Players.
I will never understand people like that. EVEN if theyre new you see everyone around you claiming alignments, everyone votes you, and you get all angry and defensive and refuse to tell them what you are despite the entire server asking for it

@@msepiphqny Yeah. At the very least they could ask for help and admit they are brand new, then again with so many mean people they would proba lay just insult the person or tell them "You should uninstall the game if you are new" or some crap like that.
Unless an early book holder dies, like Conj or Med, it makes no sense to not autopsy coven D2.
Even still, you should really autopsy. The only exceptions would be if the coven leader specifically dies, or if you know who the CK was from trickster or bodyguard that killed CK with them.

All 3 coven visited me n1 a cleric saved me
I then helped town get out all the evils over about 3 or 4 days it was great oh and i won because i was enchanted and invest was new. I huanted the last coven and ended it.
Peak of !ret experience. Even if 9 and 6 could survived, they only could used 4 -th corpse and he survived entire game, so they would be useless even if they live.

LOL HEY IM 12 CLANCY i never played witch and i didnt know how to win, but it was funny because me and 4 had played like 4 games prior where i got doomsayer and won every round. so it was hilarious that when i didnt get it, 3 others did

I know in a recent video you said if any new players wanted a tutorial to ask. I was wondering if you could make a tutorial on fake claims for evils? I have a really hard time figuring out what to claim and how to make it convincing when I play coven or evils.

Random Trickster: Bet
Late game Socialite is a strat. Most people are confirmed, only few are sus, and you can insta confirm yourself. When I popped out as Death, claiming Socialite won me the game, even though there weren't any parties yet.
Early socialite is more useful imo. Helps the town cooperate and stop evil from cooperating. Game usually don’t last long enough for late socialite to be worth it
@@opatzo9165 Really depends on the town. With the influx of newer players, disrupting Cov and NA isnt as important, and being able to confirm yourself whenever you want is really powerful
@@bigmemvb using it early can also confirm you though. Helps tk and tpow to narrow down suspect. Wait too long and you won’t get a chance to prove
@@opatzo9165 I'm with you here. The situation matters, naturally, but if town needs to lynch and someone claims soc, but hasn't thrown a party on at least one of N2 or N3, they are not gonna get the chance to prove.

I feel like inno'ing 1 the Doom for more claims might not have been a bad play in that first game? Just come back to him in the last trial, or even let him sit for a night. Even if he won N2, it'd probably include at least one Coven/Neutral guess.

Was not expecting a Throne of Lies shout out. Back in the day, I played that game almost religously, I prefered it to town of salem in almost every way. It's a shame that no one plays it anymore.

Why doesn't Poisoner/Witch roleblock Trickster if Trickster forces them to switch target to himself? I guess that would feel unfair to the Trickster?

witch is immune to trick so trick cant interact with witch and trick is straight up RB immune so poisoner cant RB it.
Why is Trickster RB immune? I would assume it can be RBd like other TK claims. I guess Trickster is too high-skill to be susceptible to RBs.

The few times I've had socialite it worked better on nights 3 and 4. I tend to get slower lobbies though. My guess would be more time to get leads..?

They hang death during the day and go into the night, SK knows who BG and witch is, SK was witched night before. So of course SK is going for the BG as witch is going to send BG to witch.

A nerf for socialite could be that all non visiting roles visit the Soc's house on a party night. It would incentivize the socialite not to claim or else the entire town could get nuked by and werewolf or arso.
Does Socialite need a nerf? They already have an incentive to not claim. This sounds objectively horrible.

Reasons why this is so terrible.
If it's AA, this changes nothing really because there's no guarantee there's many if any other non visiting roles or makes the game worse, no in-between. What if Veteran alerts if they'd even be able to? Will those non visitors be missing from their home, akin to being jailed? If so you've just turned off the ability to protect any tpow/other socs except Monarch and Jailor. Imagine losing important townies n2 to a random WW attack. There's probably more but this is off the top of my head.

People do VFA - Vote For Alignment i.e class type Protective, Power, Killing etc - as opposed to full role claims due to the introduction of roles such as Ritualist and Doomsayer who have the ability to remove people from the game based on that information and quickly removing a lot of town. Freely giving information can have consequences now and knowing when to keep or reveal info about yourself is important.

What’s the point of the night parties
Coven members can communicate at night. A Socialite party prevents that. Additionally, it provides town with more time to communicate and coordinate.

Ritualist and Doomsayer can potentially snipe people's roles except TI's. Vfa helps get town claims without putting them in too much risk.
There are roles in tos2 that can punish players for claiming real roles (Doomsayer and Ritualist). People claim alignments so that they don't get guessed specific roles until it is safe to do so. This is also why Town Powers (Mayor, Monarch, Marshal, Jailor and Prosecutor) don't reveal d1
