    Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
    And everything you do
    Yeah, they were all yellow
    I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
    And it was called yellow
So then I took my turn
Oh what a thing to have done
    And it was all yellow
Oh yeah, your skin and bones
    Turn into something beautiful
You know, you know I love you so
You know I love you so
    I swam across
    I jumped across for you
Oh what a thing to do
    ’Cause you were all yellow
    I drew a line
I drew a line for you
Oh what a thing to do
    And it was all yellow
Oh yeah, your skin and bones
    Turn into something beautiful
You know, for you I’d bleed myself dry
For you I’d bleed myself dry
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
    Look how they shine for
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
    Look how they shine
    Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And all the things that you do
Look at the stars; look how they shine for you
    And everything you do
    Yeah, they were all yellow
I came along; I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
    And it was called yellow
Yellow».
So then I took my turn
Oh what a thing to have done
    And it was all yellow
Your skin, oh yeah your skin and bones
    Turn into something beautiful
    D’you know?
You know I love you so
You know I love you so
I swam across; I jumped across for you
Oh what a thing to do
    ’Cos you were all yellow
I drew a line; I drew a line for you
Oh what a thing to do
    And it was all yellow
And your skin, oh yeah your skin and bones
    Turn into something beautiful
    D’you know?
For you I bleed myself dry
For you I bleed myself dry
    It’s true
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
    Look how they shine for…
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
    Look how they shine
    Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And all the things that you do

Colin Hay has some very nice works like "Waiting For My Real Life to Begin" and "Beautiful World" that would be good for beginners. He uses pretty normal chords but the cool strumming techniques are what makes the songs.

I’m new to guitar and left handed. Just ordered my first guitar. What songs should I learn first?

    • @LeftHandedGuitarist
      @LeftHandedGuitarist  4 роки тому +2

Have a look at my Guitar for Beginners (Level 1) playlist for songs that are good for trying to learn when you're starting out. These songs are great for practicing the basic open chords you'll need to learn in the early stages. Mainly though, I think it's really important to just try and learn to play your favourite songs. They may be out of your ability range at the start, but they are great goals to reach for.

It's a capo. There are all sorts available but these are my favourite:
      www.amazon.co.uk/Kyser-KG6B-Change-6-String-Guitar/dp/B0002CZVWI/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=OUV5SZG604UE&keywords=guitar+capo+kyser&qid=1686729567&sprefix=guitar+capo+ky%2Caps%2C143&sr=8-1
Don't feel like you have to spend that much though.

''Hate to say this but your channel name is the only reason you have 25K instead of 250K subscribers. Thanks so much for all your lessons.

    • @LeftHandedGuitarist
      @LeftHandedGuitarist  6 років тому +1

Too late to change it now! I think people react more to the titles of videos than a channel name, anyway. Really happy that you enjoy my stuff, though :)

    • @pixelatedparcel
      @pixelatedparcel 6 років тому +1

LeftHandedGuitarist Well, that's a pretty fair assumption that would probably apply most of the time but I believe your particular case falls quite outside of the norm. There's one way to find out if you're ever so inclined...Start a new (additional) channel with the name "The practical guitarist" and we'll compare notes in 2-3 years. I've been tracking about a dozen guitar tutorial sites for a few years now (JamesJames, Shut up and play, 365, etc.) and considering your content and like/dislike ratio, your channel name seems the most plausible explanation for the comparative lack of growth. That said, I owe you many hours of real enjoyment and wish you all the best and continued success.

    • @LeftHandedGuitarist
      @LeftHandedGuitarist  3 роки тому +1

@@riri-f2i Acoustic? For a first guitar I would recommend something in the region of £100/€100. You generally can't go wrong with Yamaha or Fender as a starter. Stay away from classical guitars with nylon strings unless you want to play classical music.

How it sounds if not using capo?

    • @LeftHandedGuitarist
      @LeftHandedGuitarist  6 років тому +3

You can still play with these chords without using a capo, but it will be in the wrong key and won't match the song.
