Fatwa is the opinion of a person who has great knowledge of Islam and it's affairs and also he must have a degree of mufti. After that he can deliver fatwa.
But it's up to you if you want to follow that fatwa or not.

To my understanding from an Islamic perspective, Football or any other game as a sport is not Haram unless they involve in Haram activities.
Now, why taking Football as a career or getting involved in Football in the world cups or in the clubs etc would be Haram? For a number of reasons:
1. You will miss salah should the match fall during the salah times.
2. It will be close to impossible if not impossible to fast if the match is in the month of Ramadan.
3. All Premier League clubs have a betting brand as their main shirt sponsor. The proportion is much higher in the Championship and it’d be rare to find a top club across Europe that doesn’t have an official betting partner.
4. Alcohol is widely sold and consumed
5. Music, nudity, zina and prostitution are part and parcel of these tournaments
8. Overall, Fahsha is glorified and spread throughout these tournaments
9. Israaf is done beyond any limits in these tournaments
Players are paid a huge amount of salaries which directly and indirectly are generated from all of these Haram means and sources which make playing as a professional player or getting involved in it Haram.

What about fighting sports. You can choose which match you want and the entire event only take a few hours, while the fight itself is always less than 30 minutes, usually closer to 20 minutes, and in the event there's plenty of time to pray, and it's statistically proven that there are actually fewer injuries in fighting sports than other sports. There's also no issue of group rivalries since you fight solo, and even when you're at the high level you still don't need to travel much, at least if you're in America since almost all UFC/Boxing/Kickboxing/Wrestling/etc. fights take place in America, which means that most fights will be in driving distance, and if not, you can still get their and be back to your home in a day at most. I might be missing things so I really want to know all the details of whether it is halal or not

It is not so brother mohammed. Be practical. You can say Football as a professionalism should not affect studies. But that does not mean this as haram. Islam is very easy and practical. Be open and make religion simple .That's what rasul(sal) adviced us. See from the angle of Mercy. Allah is Most Merciful. As scholars, fatwah will be the case depending upon how much level scholars understands this as profession. Legally , they can't put forth usually considering so much possiblilities of gambling involved in this as a profession. It is difficult for them to give open support...
