- 👋🏻 hello friends! Sharing an unboxing of the long waited Emma Austen leather traveler’s notebook. Chic Sparrow had 40% off sale so I had to take that offer! In the midst of that... other notebooks made its way into my cart 🛒 as well. Hope you enjoy!

These are all beautiful notebooks 😍 all my cascade pockets have very slight gaps/cuts like that from the way they cut the leather, I did notice some are not as prominent but I do notice them, I haven't had any issue with the notebooks though, no tears or pops in stitching, so yours should be fine 💕

@@beautisk7315 I'm glad I could help you feel somewhat better 💕 also if it helps- I do roll my notebooks and stuff the pockets with ephemera and things and I have never had any problem with them 💜 so like I said I'm sure yours will be absolutely fine 😊💕
I did notice the cuts on mine, I think it’s to keep it a more even smooth surface to sew.

@@metubemetube this Emma was not as thick as my Hemingway or Austen Catherine. Chic Sparrow will be getting thicker Austen leathers later this year.
I love the Emma leather. It’s so beautiful. When it first launched I snatched about 4 in different sizes lol. Love it!

I wish they'd stop using white elastic all together. I always end up changing it.
I do hope the next Austen leathers will have matching stitching as well. 🤔💕

Thank you Janna! 🤗 I was quite bummed and contacted customer service regarding the cuts and gap... Customer service notified me it can happen with cascade designs because it’s hard to get the stitching precisely over the gaps all the time... they assured me the notebook will not tear or perform any less than ones without the gap... but still I must admit I was a bit disappointed 😕
Huge CS fan here, but for the price….not cool.
