This is what made me love Dylan standing up for Norman and Norma no matter what they’ve done
I hated that Norma's only concern was Norman in this scene. Dylan deserved better & was the best character on the show.
Dylan is the real MVP
This episode is when I really started to despise Norma. How are you just going to leave one of your kids behind? She didn’t even ask if he was ok when he got shot in the arm. Right. Beside. Her.
Me too. I mean, look at her reaction. When Norman knock out, she scream in panic. But when Dylan got shot beside her, she doesn't even take her eyes off Norman to check on Dylan.
And we all thought that Cercei was nothing but a poisonus snake! How naive we were back then...
I always hated how Norma treated Dylan, even after they started getting along better.
I've never really liked the character Norma. Vera is a good actress, but annoying
one of them's unconscious. the other is awake and armed. just saying.
How did she even think about leaving her other son behind? This scene still bothers me to this day.
It was never settling. Like leave him there to possibly die! 🙄
It’s worth noting that Dylan isn’t her son, he’s Norman’s paternal half brother. She was his step mom until her husband died but they were never close.
Coen A Dylan was Norma’s biological son. His father was Norma’s brother Caleb. She claims Caleb raped her for years and that’s how Dylan was conceived. He is Norma’s son.

Dylan was always my favorite. He saved the family that barely love him at this point.
true. Romero was my favorite character, but Dylan is very close
LedZep's X I was always hot and cold with Romero, but I gained respect for him when he went to save Norman, with Dylan
LedZep's X aah they’re both my favorite
Dylan deserved so much more than Norman and Norma. He was the true good son. He was a good man.
Dylan is my favorite inspirational character in this series. I think he's the best in the show! He is a good man and a very good son ❣️.
6:35 that look of pure relief and happiness from norma
It’s the same reason why Norman killed his father when he was abusing Norma. His love for his mother (possibly in a sexual manner) leads him to act out and do whatever he can to protect her. When his father assaults Norma on the night she took him and left, he was the only one there to comfort her through the traumatic experience, leading to his development of DID. While Norma truly loves Norman, she also is the main reason why he turned into what he will later become. They both have an unhealthy relationship with one another that ultimately lead to both of their deaths. It’s really unfortunate and sad, but they took their love for one another way too far and have to deal with the consequences of that decision
Dylan Really was the only sane member of the family he saw what Norma didn't see and it was right there in front of her that Norman needed medical treatment
he was lucky thats it.
Dylan is such a badass.
In the beginning when Dylan first showed up I didn’t care to much about his character. But after this particular scene he became my favorite.
Poor Norma, she genuinely thought shelby was a good guy , the truth wreck her heart
The end when Dylan saids “ur safe” is just so heart warming because no matter what happens he cared more about Norma and Norman than they did and he knew when to jump into action and honestly Norman and Dylan are probably one of my favorite brother relationships even if their only half brothers doesn’t make a difference he was there for Norman literally the whole way
Miss this show.
Bates Motel is on Netflix until February 20th, 2020
I’m sure Both Norma and Norman felt they were at the hands of Sam Bates again..
5:20 norman having the most clueless look 🤣, man gotta hand it to the actor portraying him 💯💪🏿
Nice reference to "The Birds", love it. Very clever writing.
What reference?
Maybe you don’t know this but shooting a gun in the outside makes your ears ring, now think about inside a house.
Dyldon is love! And what a pleasure it is to watch Norma’s histeric events!
For those saying she was going to leave Dylan behind it's kind of like what else could she have done really? She did call the police after all.
Always thought of Shelby as a creep
I like that they miss a lot of shots and aren't exactly sure what they were doing. It adds a bit of a realistic feeling to it.
*If someone wants to argue take note that I didn't say it was COMPLETELY realistic I'm just saying that it has some realistic elements.
The guy who played Shelby looked like if Eric Bana and James Marsden had a kid.
4:37 When you're on a field trip and that one dramatic kid with motion sickness throws up on the bus and the teacher has to get him off as the other kids start gagging and laughing. 😂
Love Dylan and Caleb All are victims of abuse
Seal Team beats the The Brave, round one. Seal Team wins again by making it to season 2. All the while Norma is saying "he's my son, he's my nephew, he's my son, he's my nephew..."
Mind blown. I always saw Caleb as Dylan's dad and uncle but for some reason I never thought of it like that for Norma until I read this. She was always just his mom to me.
Dylan my fav character no cap,
I think despite everything Norma and Dylan truly love each other. That’s why she hugged him when he came out. See that’s the thing about love and hate, they’re the opposite but very close to each other
One of my favorite shows of all time hands down! But at 6:30 , they should have had Dylan come behind Shelby and blow his face off. Always found his death silly and unrealistic how he just falls down at the perfect time to avoid shooting Norma and Norman.
Maybe Dylan was searching for Norma and Norman in the house before he came running out.
Amazing scene
Knocked Charlie and the chocolate factory out cold
Lmao! I haven't laughed this hysterically hard in a while.
Where's Willy Wonka when you need him?
This was a great series!
when i first watched bates motel i kept on confusing dylan with shelby and vice versa. now it's weird to think that norma screwed a guy that looked eerily similar to her son lmao
Think about it though. Dylan looked like his father which is one of the reasons why she hated him, so Norma basically had sex with her brother’s look-a-like lmao
She’s more twisted than she thinks & makes absolutely no sense.
LOL I always get them confused. Even when I rewatch episodes I sometimes think it’s Norma making out with Dylan at first and I’m like wtf 😂
I don't think they look anything alike. I think Max is better looking
Brax fan, Up close I don’t think they look much alike, but at certain angles/from far away I tend to get them confused. Max is definitely better looking though imo.
@@iBeFloe girl ur the one making no sense wtf do u mean
ONe of the greatest shows ever
Just gonna pretend something wasn’t wrong with Norma the whole series? Just checking.
She was neglected, abused, molested and had an incestious relationship with her brother. She had problems
@@007Fusiion yeah but also neglected her sons needsi abused, manipulated and had an emoitonal incestious relationship with her son.
Norma was also a narcissistic control freak
I always ask myself WHY NORMA ALWAYS END UP WITH TERRIBLE DUDE
then I found Romero
But .... 😭
I know, it's sad to me too. 😢
when she finally found true love and a guy who didn't take advantage of her.... 💔
Yeah but Romero kills 5 people in this show! Its hard to trust him. Justified or not, he killed 5 people.
@@jessicapazo7718 its not justified he was awfull.
I love Dylan and norman
2:22 there is no blood after shelby hurt Norman on his forehead, 4:23 now magically appears, lol.
Love this series❤❤
I wonder what happened to that Asian girl, that ran off when Shelby found her in the motel room.
No se vuelve hablar de ella, pero esta viva. Sale en el 5x10 al final. Espero que puedas entender mi comentario, mi inglés no es bueno y no quería usar traductor.

Max Thieriot could be Green Arrow in DCEU Green Arrow movie 🙏🙏🙏🙏⚡👍👌💯 Max Thieriot is look like Oliver queen 👈👍
If he died his hair he could be Jason Todd/Red Hood
Poor Dylan. Not his fault his family is nuts
Future Seal in Action
Dylan, my favorite character.
Knew there was something off about Zack from the minute he showed up.
0:37 boy, bye. You just met that woman. A couple days of shacking and blackmail is not love

MUAHAHAHA
lmfao norma was more scared of norman getting shot than norman was
Sounds like the steps are made of wood 6:37
Coyote the probably are
Shelby so hot
Dylan stepped up and handled s#&*! I was so proud of him in this scene!!!!!!
Norman has a gun to his head and doesn’t blink. True psychopath
I wouldn't blink either id say bitch pull that trigger. Lmao
he was having a blackout, he wasnt a psychopath this moment of the show
He was dissociating. He didn't suffer a personality disorder with psychopathic traits, but I know what you mean
@@HaHa-ni3vl explain? He killed his dad.
Antonio Vigil he blacked out when his dad was beating his mom.
Dylan and the cop look too similar
I know this was 2yrs ago but I just started watching this last night. During the shootout I legit couldn't tell who's who. One minute I thought Dylan was the guy on the floor about to die
1:27 that look of pure hatred coming from dylan
1:29 I love how the camera is slowly focusing on Norman getting into his other personality to defend Norma
can we talk about how the whole bates family fought their enemy 😍😍😍
Never liked Shelby, glad he was killed off season 1, but love Dylan, so cool 👌💙
Norman’s disoriented “mother?” At 4:26 always makes me laugh. I know the scene is tense and dramatic but zonked out Norman being dragged around by Norma is so endearing.
I know😂
Season 1 Norma with that hair was so hot
Her hair was prettier season 1
Dylan is a badass what a lad
Dylan is best. :)
