  • WE HAD to DIG DEEP and PRAY a LOT for the strength to keep walking the Camino de Santiago these last few days toward Santiago. At Portomarín we had already walked more than 700km/438mi, and had been on the trail more than seven weeks. We were struggling physically to keep going. Where we needed to find a good night’s sleep and a meal to regain our strength, we often found hostels and hotels with no vacancy or closed for the season, as well as restaurants and cafés. We can get by on less sleep and snacks instead of meals for a few days, but we needed to change up how we were going about this if we were going to walk into Santiago and get our compostelas as we hoped. We give tips that saved us after the video highlights of these four days. October 21-24, 2022

I admire that you took pics in the churches and particularly of the Tabernacles.

Our photos are a good reminder to us of our closeness to God as we were walking and worshiping. Thank you for your comment.
