@@Gitshiver At least with medium armor, they can approximate the experience with weight and stats, so they can exist in some form. But if you have thoughts on your favorite fan implementation of medium armor in Skyrim, or how you think they should be implemented in a talent tree-based Elder-scroll game, I'm here for it. My most recent playthrough of Skyrim was Survival mode, and I personally feel like Medium in particular would be the perfect place to put gear balanced for climate, weight and protection. It didn't feel worth it to invest points in one skill or the other because I used both, so I just went Smithing and enchanting and improved that way
Taking a walk through Vivec city is enough to drive me mad, no surprise that Sheogorath's shrine is there. I usually just get the "daedric" spear from Ra'Virr.
That's a really good point, Sheo probably posed as a civil engineer back in the day and made the whole place a crazy maze! Throwing Bar Dao at the city might have been in response to Vivec adding a gondola system and diminishing the madness of the whole layout! XD
@@Gitshiverlol when I found the sewers I was super high off homemade personality potions and the cultist were quite friendly. One of them is even a trainer 😂
If you are looking for the expansions too, there is another spear what stands out, and even better than the Spear of Bitter Mercy: it is the Spear of the Hunter. I really missed the spears from the last two games, my first "real" character in Morrowind was spearbased too.
@@Gitshiver that’s incredible! Morrowind is the only game I play and I’ve played it since release to this very day - how are there still things I don’t know about this game?! Enjoying your Hircine’s hunt vid right now whilst I have dinner :)
I'm using this in my current Spearman run. I picked it up at level 2 to replace Ra'Virr's Devil Spear and it's been great. Combine this with Soul Drinker and there isn't much you can't harvest the soul from in two to four hits :)
Great video! I have always wanted to do a spear-heavy build just for the novelty of it. It's a true shame they removed them from later games. They're really fun to use!
I am doing it at level 4 (iirc), but it's mostly because I'm wearing most of the OP gear in the game and slinging Eltonbrand. That does most of the heavy lifting lol
The most efficient way would probably be to get the 24 min levitation from the shrine at the temple district, then take the boat up, but I'm pretty sure it would run out before you got there. I've done trials of levitating from Vivec to Dagon Fel before, it takes about 10 minutes at top speed to get there vs like two and a half minutes from Dagon Fel to Big Head.
We need Spears back in ES6.
Damn right!
Same with throwing weapons

Todd: We've expanded player choice by introducing polearms to the Elder Scrolls universe! (only halberds, and they're just skinny 2 handed axe models)
It's a shame that they cut of spears in later games.
Agreed, and medium armor too!

Chitin spear OP
You killed those cultists with such speed, in my playthrough I put 50+ arrows in the nord alone.
I think I might be just a bit overpowered lmao

I love how morrowind will just let you totally miss stuff like that and have multiple hostile trainers!

Good call, I'm going to do plenty of bloodmoon and tribunal videos too! Spears are really underrated, I love the range you get with them!
Best spear in the game. Love it. Thanks!
I about died with the flight gag! xD Top notch. Also now I wanna join the Jiub Force
Lol thanks! I was playing around with my EQ and thought it would be fun :D
Top netch!
When your Orc starts mouthing the words of Sheogorath at 3:20, is that part of vanilla MW? If so, I’ve never noticed this.
It's in vanilla as well, disembodied voices come from the player character, even Tariel!

That’s the same spear Gogh uses in the Creation know as “Goblins” in Skyrim Anniversary.
Nowhere is safe from cliffracers
Where's Jiub when you need him lol
Such an awesome looking Spear, great work as always Gitshiver!

I've really come to appreciate spears, you can keep most all melee fighters totally out of range! I can't wait to see what Skywind do with them
@@Gitshiver Amen! I also just love the idea of playing through the game with such an underappreciated weapon.
Great vid
These videos are amazing

if you use levitation on your way to big head anyway then it is better to levitate directly from vivec
