What's up everyone! As a civil engineer, I will share my reaction and take on the trending toblerone stairs of the famous Filipino youtuber, LLoyd Cadena. This video is inspired by the reaction video of "lodi" Architect UA-camr Llyan Austria.
For those who are new on this channel, my name is Maru Rico and I am a Filipino Civil Engineer based in California, USA.

@@mariorojo5282 yun na nga eh. Ano bang alam ng client doon? It's not just abt the stairs. But the whole design and space that they lend in that area. Bago pa gawin yon, may plan na. The professionals can see if there could be a problem in the future. Kaya nga nagpaplano para maiwasan yung kapalpakan. And most professionals na matatanda na, masyadong mataas ang ego and pride kaya wa pakels kahit pangit tignan.

Meron na tayong Architect at Civil Engineer. Way to go youtube PH community!
Senior Civil Engineer po ako, kung mahusay ang contractor na gumawa di sana nangyari to, walang time delay at reworks na mangyayari, since may construction drawing naman dapat nag RFI (Request for Information) na sila sa Architect in record before implemetation ahead of schedule. Ito rin po ay ino-open up during weekly coordination meeting para aware din ang Client (Owner). Dalawa ang pwede mangyari dito, first, si Contractor kung may site supervisor na Civil Engineer or Architect ay puwede din siya gumawa ng shop drawing , magproposed ng treatment sa portion na to, at ipapa-approve sa Archiect in Record at saka sa Owner. Second, si Architect in record ay gagawa ng review sa issued drawing for construction nya at mag-issue ng revised drawing kay Contractor at alam din dpat ito ng Client dahil ito ay Work Variation na maaring may cost impact (Either Deductive or Additive Cost). Deductive kapag ang costing ng original plan ay mataas kesa revised plan. Additive naman kapag ang costing ng original plan ay mababa kesa revised plan. Usually kapag may additve works at mabait si Contractor , as is na lang ito sa kuntrata niya kumbaga papogi points kay Client for future referral of projects. Thanks.

Actually d nmn haunted ang spiral staircase. But they believe that it is a badluck charm because of it symbolize a huge screw, boring down into your home and creating a hole in your life.
Whoever the "architect", "engineer" and "construction" people are--shame. I think they took advantage of a person with money and no prior knowledge and research. How would you not do a great job knowing a UA-camr with millions of followers is recording your progress? You're supposed to take the free publicity and be excellent. Who are these guys so nobody has to fall for this?
Maybe they are aware that their names will not be shown in public.
They are architects and engrs, it's so basic to see what's wrong. Even sir Lloyd can see it. They must be a scam, probably a foreman whose archi/engr wannabe (not generalizing all foremans, i learned from them). It's a scam that even Lloyd said it im the vid "more ideas, more gastos, more income"
i doubt that lloyd hired an architect or engr, maybe pucho pucho lang na contractor na walang professional na nagmamanage
Walang Arkitekto ang mag papalano ng ganyang stairs. Kahit first year Architecture student alam ang tamang angle ng stairs. Malamang sa malamang karpintero yan.
Even a non engineer coulda make a better stairs than that come on.... Unacceptable.

8:30 masasabi ko lang dito pag tatawanan ko talaga ung engineer at archi niyan. Sa una palang kung tutok kana sa project na yan lalo na sikat na tao ang client mo di mangyayare yan kahat di sikat sana naman focus sa project. Masamang imahe sa propesyon naten yan mapa civil or archi. Ako as a civil napapangitan ako diyan at nakakabastos. Katulad ni lloyd na first time mag patayo ng bahay ay nakaka stress yan di tulad saten na mga sanay na sa construction. Kaya dapat naman pakita naman naten kung anung worth ng binayad nila di ung bara bara hindi puro income ang nasa isip pwede naman may quality ang gawa. Lalo na kung may budget ang owner. Bad image na kagad sa propesyon naten yan 2 professional pa hire niya di pa nakita agad ung mali?
After I watched Archi austria's vlogs I was amazed but in some point naisip ko parang kulang gusto ko marinig or mapanuod din sa Civil Engr. then this vlog was recommended, I was happy coz I really want to watch an Filipino Civil Engr. coz u know for my knowledge also coz I'm CE student 😂 MORE VLOG SIR RICO PLEASE!!! It can be a minimum dimension L shape stair sana.,naachieve mo na requirement hnd pa risky. And also tama nga, mahirap magrevise on the spot or during construction, malaking possibility na masira na yung unang design concept ng arkitekto + dagdag hinagpis sa bulsa ni client. good collab w/ 2 respective professionals.
newbie here😊i'm about to take my licensure exam for architects 😊 it's good to hear a civil engineer's side of this miserably "planned" house. pls educate your viewers nlng din po kung sino ba tlga ang may karapatan mag design ng bahay according to expertise, practice and law. In an architect's view of this house po kasi, hindi lang yung stairs ang issue. even the planning out of the entire space like zoning and orientation, choice of materials and so many to mention. About spiral staircase parihas po tau ng idea. Even I'm not architecture ( 🤣🤣 sabi ni buknoy glamurr 😅) I mean I'm not architect. But love na love ko mag design ng bahay and mag printout hihi kinulang lang talaga sa pera kaya di nakapag enrol sa course na gusto ko which is engineering or architect.

Maliit yung width ng run para sa built ni Mr.Cardenas na chubby. kung gagamitin na steel Spiral stair case..Para sa U-shape medyo bakbakin at bawasan yung slab sa 2nd floor para sa nos. of run na pwede sa height para sa stair coming form the ground floor level kung ito yung gusto gamitin ng user.

Pwedeng bakbakin yung existing stairs at gawing Spiral stairs or bakbakin yung slab at existing stairs na rin
para maka add ng landing and turn to left stair. Kaso yung headroom nanaman ng laundry ang maapektuhan 😂

Just wanna share this I have experienced that type of steep stairs in my friend's house and I got a lot of bruises and scratches on my arms, legs, and head. I shit you not those stairs need to be redone or make at least safe to use.
