Looks like a great portable setup. Amazing how much you can do with 3d printed stuff in our hobby, especially for lightweight stuff and it seems to work really well.
really handy, thanks! I've got the Astrodymium system coming but like you have plenty of PLL rings lying about the house to use. Also have an Astromechanics adapter that can talk to Canon Autofocus and allow control on a PC (but will be using mine with an ASI Air and second EAF I bought)
I have the same system minus the ASI air. I love it. Autofocus works well with Nina. I ditched the ring and just have the rubber belt. Works perfectly.
Awesome video, mate! The Astrodymium has been a dream setup for me with the 135...just leave everything attached and plonk it on the mount in no time! I had a similar set-up to your original (with the PLL stuff), but I used the ZWO camera holder fitted exactly to the camera's diameter, so no slipping and was super snug. Anyway, have fun and best wishes from a rain-soaked Scotland! :)
Always fancied the Samyang 135 but haven't got round to purchasing one as yet, I know Altair do a system which I'm guessing will work with their cameras but until recently you'd have to use a mini PC or Stellarmate to run it. I say recently as ToupTek have made an Asi air clone that will work with other cameras etc & not lock you in to one system so thinking of ordering one to try. It is in the beta stages still but looks promising all the same. Great video as always mate & yeah the weather has turned pretty dire here to, clear skies!!

Sure is Logan, I also considered the Hyperpod system which looked pretty sleek too.
Tidy setup. Looking forward to seeing how it works for you. CS!
Cheers James we certainly need some clear skies soon here

No worries mate. Interesting I've considered that Astromechanics adapter but tend to use the Samyang more.

Interesting point about the ring cheers

Hey thanks pal will be good to give it its first light when we get a chance
Hi Ollie intresting set-up looking forward to seeing your first light with this, very few clear skies here in France too mate 😢
Ye seems clouds all round right now Tony
With your pll ring - i just use a bit of door insulation tape (used for draughty doors). Super easy and cheap. Sticky on one side, and foam on other.
That's a top idea using the door insulation cheers
I have the Astrodynium set up for my 135mm F2 with the EAF and ASiAir Pro. It worked first time with no issues. Great little astrograph.
Thanks John I'm looking forward to using it soon.

Hey Tich - I'd be very interested to see a good ASi Air alternative where any camera could be connected:)
Can that system be used on a Canon EF 70-200? Just wondering about the dimensions for my Canon R with the EF lens
Where did you get your old system, the red colar from? :)
I got it from Testar a shop in Australia
@@OlliesSpacecool, do you remember the brand or what it’s called? Couldn’t find anything on their site.
