- UCSC recommends FlyWire for processing international payments.
You can get to Flywire through the UCSC main page (at ucsc.edu), or you can type ucsc.flywire.com.
In FlyWire, start by selecting your language of choice in the top right-hand corner.
Next, choose your country.
Enter the amount in United States dollars that you wish to pay, and click Next.
You can either sign up with Flywire or continue as a guest.
Flywire offers several payment methods. Choose the payment method best for you.
China requires a UCSC invoice to be uploaded.
It is recommended that the UCSC student check their MyUCSC portal in 2-3 days to confirm the payment was applied to their account. Flywire also has a mobile app where you can get text updates on the status of your payment.

Mam, i live in India and i got a admission in japanese University. If i send tution fee from my country in my currency (rupee) then lots of vat will be added to transform in japanese currancy (yen) and my payment will increse. My uncle lives in japan. So it is possible that, if i make flyfire account in my Country, select the currancy in yen and send this to my uncle. After that my uncle will pay from his local bank in japan in yen. If this happen then lots of money will be saved. Can i do it mam???
Hello. I made a payment through flywire, the payment was cancelled and it’s still preventing me from re making the payment
@Gnisselb_O II'm very sorry that you are having problems with FlyWire. Payment systems are often slow and inefficient, and a payment cancellation make take longer than expected. UCSC does not have access to individual FlyWire accounts so we do not know how long it will take to fully process your payment cancellation so you can initiate another payment. The best thing to do is watch your account and contact FlyWire if the situation is not resolved within 7 days of the payment cancellation.
Hello, I plan to pay with Visa card. In that case, Can I download the receipt right away ?
When paying through FlyWire, you should receive a payment confirmation/receipt as soon as your payment is received by UCSC. Before paying with a credit card, you may want to contact the card issuer to find out if you will be charged a fee for a FlyWire transaction. Some credit card issuers charge a percentage of the payment amount, which can make paying for college much more expensive.
When i went to the bank to transfer they said they need the bank adresse to make the payment but in the website i didn't find the adresse in the information !
Hello! I'm sorry you had some trouble setting up a payment. If you are planning to pay with a bank account, you will need to enter your bank account information into the UCSC eBill/ePay site. Getting access to the site is different for students and parents: student access is through the MyUCSC portal, and parents must receive an invitation from their student to set up access. hello, there is no info about the beneficiary bank account or bank name in the payment instructions. So, to which address do I have to pay?

@@kcaliskan beneficiary address is Flywire Payments Corporation. Here, in this system, flywire works as an agent. First, the payment is received by flywire and then they send the money to the university within 2 days. You should give your reference in your senders information

I uploaded all asked docs to Flywire in India on 8 Oct 2023 (sunday) & transferred funds into their bank account on Monday. On Tuesday & Wednesday I called their helpline(!) but got no help. Wednesday afternoon they sent me a mail asking for all details AGAIN plus Visa copy. I could send it in the evening only at 18:14. When i contacted, the said to have received the mail but can verify only on Thursday. By now, me & my beneficiary are at the end of our wits. Sure, they can give me the refund, but that'll take - hold your breath - 8 to 10 days! Same country, same currency!!
I'm very sorry that you are having problems with FlyWire. Payment systems are often slower and less efficient than they appear to be, and errors like this can be very frustrating. UCSC does not have access to individual FlyWire accounts so we do not know how frequently errors like yours happen. The best thing to do is watch your account to make sure you receive the refund in a timely manner. If you do not receive it by the 8th day, it may be a good idea to call FlyWire to confirm it is en route.
