Ahh yes as usual.

Lol
I received a kitten to raise. Her eyes weren’t even starting to open. She cried unless I held her. So my solution was to put her in my bra. It worked beautifully. I could do housework while making her more comfortable. She lived to be 18 yrs old. I miss her so much.
😭 sorry for your loss I know that kitten was blessed to have you 🤍
The maternal instinct!
Im sorry for your loss. may she rest in peace
My rescued pups cried anytime I wasn't holding them too. I layed them in small-ish cross body bags and rocked them to sleep as I was doing chores, commuting and at school. I'm very sorry about your loss.
Wow, that was a smart and efficient move! I'm sure she had a great long life with you :(
Long before Cats were seen as "agents of evil", there was an old custom, in many different societies, where Midwives would find a cat in labour (there were so many cats living around "castles" and closely built communities that invariably, they would find one!) and bring her to have her kittens next to a birthing woman, to show her how how happy and calm the cat remained during labour. The cats purring would have also helped bring down the woman's heart rate, blood pressure, and anxiety levels as well. This may be why many Pre-Christian Goddesses of fertility and childbirth were closely associated with cats. Even the cat-headed Bast of ancient Egypt, was a Goddess of Mothers and small children.
Omg this is amazing!!!!! Thank you for sharing!!! Where can i read more on this? I love this so much! So happy they love the kittehs!
Wow, never heard about this. Thanks for sharing, this is really cool
amazing fact! thank you for sharing!
Yeah that's right.. I know this that it is the same when in Hinduism... Sashti/soshti/sixth day of the lunar calendar is dedicated to the Goddess of children and it extends to maternity and birthing too... The mother goddess of that day will always have cats around her and small kids...

What does making biscuits mean ?
@@anamika8258 it's when a cat does the action of "kneading" with her front paws. It alternatingly pushes it's right and left paws on a surface(usually a soft surface like a blanket or human lap) and may retract it's claws in and out. Usually, making biscuits is accompanied by purring and it's a sign that the kitty is comfortable 😇

I think a mother cat kneads while in labor because it is a way to self-soothe. Helps with the pain.

@@Sovek86 It seems better than the breathing exercises they taught me, lol.

Is that what she meant by making biscuits?
Giving birth isn’t painful for animals. Cants knead when they are relaxing. Relaxing allows the body to take over and do its thing. Humans have been trained away from knowing and trusting their bodies to give birth painlessly. I had a med free hypnobirth that was pain free. Look up the book Birthing without Fear and where believing birth is painful originated from.
She had been homeless and pregnant. That's a horrifically terrifying scenario. Then, you swoop in and rescue her, save her, and give her a loving, warm, and safe place.
I have no doubt she was absolutely joyous and grateful to give birth in such a place. With her own little nesting box too!
My cat used my underwear drawer to deliver. I woke up for school one day and found six fluffy jellybeans and Tiny just chilling in a pile of my underwear and socks.

That’s not true. Plenty of homeless cats that have never been owned are this nice.
This is the type of thing that pisses me off, if she was abandon they probably did it because she was going to have kittens. Messed up
I just love this story. Making me cry! I adopted a stray that just appeared on our property one day (20 acres). I thought Miss Kitty was quite bloated or fuzzy (chubbs) but I soon realized she was knocked up! It was a really hard time in our lives. My husband was valiantly fighting serious, chronic pain of unknown source, trying to get him help, we had the requisit money issues that so often go with these horrible situations. But mamma kitty was just this bright spot and brought such joy to our lives I can't tell you! Eventually, we managed to get all her kittens eventually spayed/neutered as appropriate. I should have gotten mama spayed first, bit I was doing the best I could. I am disabled, but I got everyone of those kittens to the surgeon so no more babies were made. Then we were going to have mama kitty spayed and I think she knew the jig was up - maybe she overheard us discussing the arrangement and she bolted out of the front door at her first opportunity. Never to be seen again. It's like she appeared out of nowhere and dropped these adorable babies and split. It wasn't a huge litter, but the kittens helped my husband carry on for as long as he could. I just wanted to share my little story - joy can come from the weirdest of circumstances.
Help control the pet population, have your pets spayed or neutered.

They also wait for you to be around before deciding to go into contraction. I've had every single cat who birthed babies in my house wait until I woke up or came home from work and then, BAM, time to go! They LOVE it when you are there, holding their 'paw' while giving birth. Such darling creatures.

What does it mean to "make biscuits" while giving birth? Is this a name towards the newborn kittens? Or a noise or action the mother cat does?
@@jessicajahn4005 its the little kneading motion you can see Mama Pasta do at 1:32. It resembles a kneading motion, so people call it making biscuits. I know it as kneading bread :)

Took in a stray who was scared of people so would hiss a bit but not attack or anything, when she went into labor she became totally friendly allowing me to pick up her kittens to help dry them off and move them closer to her so she could eat the placenta and then position them to nurse. Mama Pasta is too beautiful. Bless her and her kittens
Pregnant cats do seem to be very calm around people. There was a cute little cat that started to appear suddenly in front of the apartment's door everyday looking for food. She was so friendly that my first encounter with her was straight up petting xD. She wasn't afraid of me at all and I didn't know how it was even possible. So yeah pregnancy does seem to make them friendlier around people.
The fact she is so friendly seems to point to the sad fact that her owners tossed her out when they found her to be pregnant. (Although had they #1 had her spayed or #2 kept her indoors it wouldn't have happened). I'm so happy she found you!
@Lord Frieza Excuse me? What?
@Lord Frieza You used "get rid of". But I disagree about easier. A female cat can have up to 2 litters a year. That's up to 12 kittens a year. That's a lot of kittens to "give away". Rescue Centers, Humane Societies and SPCAs are overcrowded right now with "spring" kittens that with climate change the time starts earlier & goes longer. Spaying would have been the best and most humane option. This poor cat could have easily been killed while on her own & that would have been just as bad as if the owners had just "gotten rid" of her :(
@Lord Frieza I wish it was that easy. There needs to be a way to encourage pet owners to spay/neuter. Is it time/money/transportation/misunderstanding that stops owners? Are more low cost clinics needed? More flexible hours? Van pickup/ drop off service? Tic Toks about spay/neuter? Idk but ??
Exactly! SPAY YOUR ANIMALS!!
@@lorriefinley3129 Where I come from it's money in many cases. From the cost of spaying a female cat a family of 3 eats for a week. Not everyone can afford that. You can say don't keep cats, but especially when you live in a house with a garden, often strays will just choose you. People start feeding them, in some cases even fully adopt them into their house and lives but won't be able to go pay for spaying. What would be the solution? Don't even care for them? Chase them away? Not letting our your cat is something I do agree with but it's easier said than done. Sometimes they escape. And it only takes one escape for a female to come back pregnant.

Actually cats and other animals don't feel the same amount of pain during labour or throughout their giving birth. It's just the humans who feel excruciating pain throughout their pregnancies.
Also, reason why cats don't allow hunans near during labour is bc they don't trust humans and wanna be secluded and in peace while giving birth. So if your cat trusts you a lot, she'll allow you to be near and even touch her while she's giving birth
I loved the "Mama's Bakery" sign, with all her buns in the oven.
Hi
Hello Jen:)
This is LOVE. Absolutely beautiful to take this sweet pregnant girl in and give her the life of her dreams. Monica and Kerrin, you both are AMAZING. Mama Pasta is in loving hands.
2:06 lol it's arms waving around it cute
Now if we can get the animals to rescue humans this world will be a better place to live.
good idea
Animals rescue humans all the time. I don't know what I'd do if I don't have my cat, the greatest companion
They do. A lot actually
Pets rescue humans everyday! XOXOX
How about humans rescuing humans first. We can’t even do that.
I was wondering at first why they would use Orzo for a name when it's a lesser known pasta but then I remembered it's a very small pasta and fits perfectly for the runt of the litter. 🥺
Orzo is also coffee type
@Busta Speeker yeah, I totally agree with you! I've found the runts have the best little characters! I've always said the runts are my favourites!
Orzo in italian means barley. When roasted we make a coffee with it. (without caffeine) But it is also a grain like rice and you can use it in soups or salads.
Her little chirps are so cute!
Sweet momcat. She's so precious. She knows how lucky she is to be saved. I love her whirs.
Rest in peace, Bowtie. 🕊
She seemed so at peace when she was giving birth. Literally no distress. ❤
When my sisters and I were in our teens our cat didn't want to go in labor without having us around. As soon as we left her to give her privacy and let nature take its course she came after us to call us back. So we did our homework right next to her and pet her, comfort her. Nice memories.
Lovely memories.
That's funny: hey uh kitty what's the square root of six?
Kitty: meow
@@Silver_wind_1987_ at least she did niot drop 2.44 kittens.
Our cat went into labor when i was still in high school, I had an exam that morning and my parents refused to stay home or write an excuse for me to stay home so i want to the exam and ran back home right afterwards (our poor cat was literally scraming for us not to go that morning and shes never clingy, thats how we knew she was in labor. She obviously didnt want us to leave 😢). When i came back home she was waiting by the door and we immediately went together to her box set up with towels etc. She never wants to be pet but during birth shed want my moral support and be prt, etc. I did my best petting her and encouraging her and she gave birth to 3 beautiful kittens :). She waited until I came home to help her.
Thank you for giving her a place to give birth. And taking care of her. God bless you
Mama Pasta reminds me of my Christiane Amanpurr. A beautiful, affectionate lil thing, wonderful with kittens. Bless 💕
Her friendliness with humans and inviting one to join her while she’s giving birth show she had a human family - and she was probably tossed out when they realized she was pregnant. For cats’s sake, spay or neuter yours to prevent this. You might not toss a pregnant cat or newborn kittens but many do - make sure your kitties can’t make another pregnant or get pregnant please
Where I come from, many people simply drown the kittens. I've never been able to bring myself to do that. Life is such a wonder, a miracle I didn't make myself. Destroying it seems such a pity, a dreadfully churlish thing to do.
@@Alex462047 where you from?
@@pumpkindiamond994 probably somewhere farmland/country side. It's common and very sad. They only keep enough cats around to keep mice at bay.
Nty I don’t wanna fix my animals.
no, cats are affectonate when i was in morocco their was a lot of ferral cats and they were cute and nice even mama cats let me touch their babies. i loe cats !
Much love to people that helped them get an incubator for the kittens. That was real kind.
Hello maya,i help stray cats❤🙏🐈🙏🙏🙏
@@cutestreetcats9561 you don't see the Dodo forcing their content on other people animal rescue or not so why should you?
@@mischiefthedegenerateratto7464 Relax, I don't think they meant any harm. Besides, the more people that know about many of these rescue sites/locations the better. Really puts more awareness out there for animals in need.
I'm a little bit confused - the kittens shown in the incubator were different kittens, not the kittens Mama Pasta gave birth to....
@@princessbeexxxx They have over 1k subs, it's view hunting at this stage not trying to spread the word
I love how you treat this mama cat! I also love that you gave all the kittens pasta names!🐾💞
The way that a mother cat looks when they are feeding their young is amazing. They are tired but so pleased and content. Its beautiful
I love it when cats are so chirpy!
it's just adorable ! ≧◔◡◔≦
It's called trilling.
“We made her personal master bathroom just for her”
Me: *dang she be spoiled tho*
@@pneuma6202 completely agree! they deserve _all_ the spoiling in the world! 💕
So precious!!! Thank you for rescuing her and her babies. GOD bless you.
She’s delightful! Those little mews are so sweet. Thank you for saving her and helping her to deliver in comfort and safety.
Well done you❤️🦘
My Pepper grabbed my thumb and led me to my room, I put in her birthing box, she jumps out onto the bed, I put her in the box, she jumps out, put her in the box, she jumps out, I put her in the box, she gets the message, I go to leave, she starts crying, I stay and witness the birth of 6 kittens, I didn't watch her eat the placenta!
I've had many cats that don't want to queen alone. I find it so endearing 😻
I had a kitty who did this too. She demanded that I stay to "help"!!
She wanted you to be with her. You are her comfort.
When cats bond with you, they feel secure wirh you near them. A cat is never more vulnerable than when giving birth, of course they want their biggest security blanket with them.
I remember after I got myself and my cat out of an apartment fire, how he was a bit more clingy for the next few days until he got comfortable in our new surroundings. He was always a confidant and outgoing cat, but for a few days he didn't let me leave his sight, and wanted to be on my lap or at least touching me.
People that dismiss cats as pets just don't know what they are talking about or what they are missing.
Geez woman lol so glad you finally caught on. Yes they want someone around when they give birth and that someone was you. Now tell me what were you doing that was so interesting before the cat came to get you lol best wishes to you and your kitty cat.
Bruh im scared to loosing cat like her, she is such a good girl. I would never get over her if she passed away
8 years. Haven't had another cat since.
Same I would feel sad if that sweetie cat passed
@@Angron789 so sorry for your loss ❤️
Bruh? What the heck does that even mean.
What a sweet baby ❤️ mama was making biscuits the whole time, that is the happiest cat I've seen give birth
My cat kit cat gave birth 3 days ago and shes just like mama we found her on the streets and I took her in and later we found out she was pregnant so I had to feed her well and now I have 3 little kittens 😇🥰😥🙂
When you save a soul and you get more than you invested in return 🤗💖😁
1:25 aw, she's the sweetest kitty ever. You can tell she's nervous about giving birth, but she's still so friendly.
The chirps and mrrrps must be the best sound in the world.
This story is so good i am crying in happiness right now

That is super rare! I've helped in multiple births, none of the mothers made biscuits, all of them yowled when popping out those fuzzy little gumdrops. Mama truly is one of a kind!
Truly full of endorphins and adrenaline more like lol
Love her chirp. She is so thankful and trusting.
Her chirping is so adorable ☺️
