I watched this vid yesterday because our cat is pregnant and this morning we look out there and there are 7 beautiful babies! all of them made it and we are so happy! 😊
I know how you feel! I've dealt with dozens upon dozens of little kittens that live outdoor, but I've never experienced the birth first-hand. She's showing signs of the first stage of labor - her cervix is beginning to dilate, she's grooming herself excessively, and I think she's starting to nest. She's also sleeping esting a lot. It should only be a day or two before we meet our new members of the family! I hope yours goes well!
Me to 😅-edit she had 5 kittens on September 23 Which was on my birthday but sadly they all passed away in October due to her rejecting them all so please please make sure your queen is staying with her kittens and feeding them especially when they start to grow teeth if not take them to the vet immediately I found out to late so I couldn't help please don't make the same mistake as I did.....
Mine didn’t vocalize at all 😂 she just came multiple times to us and brought us back to her nesting place. She was literally purring while giving birth 😅

I've been taking care of a stray since we moved here 8 months ago, and now she's going into labor at 9:30 in the morning. I'm so excited. I've sat her up in a box on our porch, and she's being the absolute sweetest thing. I am so excited to say the least!!!

Top tip - prepare a chicken stock( soup) 3 chicken breasts, 2 pints of water. Boil until cooked. Blitz, dissolve cat vitamin tablets in when cool. Bag up in 200ml bags & freeze! When in labour, defrost, warm & serve. Keeps queen hydrated, & helps with energy, nutrition & milk production. Serve along side with her food & water after birth.
Your series on cat birthing is really helping me. A stray kitten found me and was already pregnant. It has been difficult to get her to a vet, and I was not certain what to do about preparing for baby arrivals. I feel much better prepared after viewing your videos. same here, not entire sure if she is even pregnant. got her off the streets jan 29th, last vet appointment for kitten series since unsure how old she is or if she ever had shots(maybe 7-9 months old) feb 28th. Vet said NOTHING about her possibly except he kept saying to wait before I get her spayed when I've been trying since I got her, suppose to get spayed april 18th) being pregnant but her nipples have changed, body changed, always hungry I felt movement 3/22 so...guess we'll find out in 2 weeks if she is pregnant. I refuse to go back to vet to pay 200 bill to tell me she probably is pregnant. (b4 anyone says anything yes I am aware of possible worms and fluid, but she has no bad symptoms none except distended abd)
My cat is giving birth now Edit! Its been 12 hours since she gave to 3 kittens. I stayed next to her even though it was super late. Actually she didn't let me go she was following me to stay next to her. All 3 are the same as the mother white/grey tiger. Thank you so much, I could be the "nurse" for my cat delivery.
I'm so worried for my cat...she's very young and my other cat probably made her pregnant while we were asleep because she was in heat and couldn't do anything about it. I hope she survives

Don't worry just make sure you're feeding well and enough for a pregnant cat and give her a lot of water. One more thing if she is young she may want you next to her. My cat didn't let me go anywhere just to stay next to her. Even if it was very late. Hope it helps. And easy delivery to your cat

This was really informative, thank you! My cat Pepper is about 7 weeks pregnant and its her first litter. I'm extremely nervous, because I've heard so many ways things can go wrong, but I'm much more prepared now after watching this. She's already very friendly, loves food, and hyper, so some of the things you said that aren't related to those are very helpful to know. All that matters to me is that my girl and her kits will be healthy!

Just wanted to update you, she’s had 5 beautiful kittens. Unfortunately she had complications and had to have an emergency c-section, thankfully they’re all happy and healthy x
Our calico Poodoo had her kittens three nights ago. Earlier in the day, I said I think today is the day because she was acting so restless, and I had a strong feeling. My son had set up a box behind his bed and that's where she had them, all five. We slept right through the labor and birth. So, now we have five adorable kittens - 1 girl (a calico) & 4 boys (all different configurations of black & white)!

I literally looked to the side of my Cat and saw a ton of movement in her abdominal area yesterday I caught her chewing on a ton of cardboard my other cat did that when she was going into labour and she did that if you days before she was going into labour to so I think she might going to labour in like 2 to 3 days

I just got home from work and noticed the stray cat we've been feeding for years was being really vocal and looking for the storage closet where she gave birth to the first litter. I just made sure she had comfortable bedding and food and water. Bless her heart for giving birth in this Texas heat😢
Please get her spayed after she gives birth. There are trap and neuter programs through most of your local animal welfare offices that won't cost anything. They'll even loan you a trap to use. Each kitten will have more kittens and they in turn will have kittens and then people will get tired of all the cats and put out poison or hawks will kill them. I take care of many homeless cats and dogs and see this repeatedly. The only way to keep them healthy and safe is spay/neuter programs with their rabies shots (at a minimum) which are usually provided free of charge. The kittens will need the same. If not they'll all be fighting for territory in the future and brothers will impregnate sisters. Please think about it.

She is constantly following me, i am sitting right now, trying to comfort her, because if not she will chase me around the entire house(this is not normal behaviour for my cat) She is licking her breasts and i feel movements in her stomach

So glad to find this video this is my first experience and I am almost positive she's in active labor , she's more vocal , her water broke but the vocalization was what gave it away to me cause she's usually real quite. She's pacing alot , grooming and she just wants me to be next to her and keep my hand on her . I can feel her like pushing. But after seeing this video I now see there was signs a few days ago that the time was near.
After watching a lot of your videos my bobtail is for sure pregnant! She’s nesting and I helped her build and bed with plenty of blankets :) I saw her babies move today and I’m so excited

I'm a fostermom to a feral mommy and her baby, and realized when they've been here around a week that she might be pregnant! Your videos have been very helpful as I've never had a queen! So exciting! I think she's around 5-6 weeks in her pregnancy, I'm gonna start making a nest!
You are a lifesaver! My stray, Waffles and I began bonding some months ago. I decided to take her in and after a vet exam, they said Waffles was expecting and in about a weeks time. I'm nervous because I want everything to go well. I'm also nervous because if something goes wrong, I want to do whats necessary. After your videos, I feel a lot better and know a lot more! but in all honesty, I'm still nervous! :)

But, of course, it’s always good to educate yourself as much as possible so you know how to respond if there happens to be any unfortunate complications with the delivery. For now, try not to worry and just research as much as you can. I know a lot of information on this topic can be hard to find, especially good sources. I’m planning to answer a lot more questions about cat birth in general in the future as well. For now, I wish you all the best with her delivery and may she have beautiful healthy kittens.💖
My queen is currently in labor. I’m on the floor where she dragged me by my shirt and won’t let me leave her side. She’s not an affectionate cat so I’m loving every minute of it. 10 hours in she’s a trooper ❤
Last year I had a cat, she came to my room I was laying on my bed and she jumped next to me and I felt like she’s isn’t normal, then she went into my closet so I knew she’s going to give birth, I brought her a box with a towel and she gave birth silently she was amazing and I stayed with her, she needed comforting and wanted me beside her, when I move she was aiming to go out of the box so I stayed with her about half an hour laboring until she delivered her first one, and she had 4 one of them wasn’t moving or breathing at first but it was fine later. This year my other cat omg she went crazy in her labor, when it was time to birth her first one she was rolling through the stairs like a ball crying and rolling around, she didn’t stay in her box, at the end she rolled under the couch and gave birth, then when she finished delivering my dad moved her to a box.
Thank you so much for going over these things, and sharing the video with us. I have 3 female cats, and 2 of them were pregnant at the same time, but the younger one (the oldest daughter of the momma cat.), and she was doing all the things you mentioned. She's not an indoor cat, but I've seen her tearing up the sand in my yard, digging fairly deep holes in my forest, and the super affectionate actions to her 2 daughters. It all came to a head today when she started laying on her side in random places, and panting really heavy. And when I went to put some food out for the girls, the kittens from the oldest of the daughters started crying, and next thing I know the oldest cat (I call em Momma, Precious, and Cubby. Precious just gave birth a few weeks ago, and Momma is still pregnant (with her third litter).). And so Momma goes running by with one of Precious's kittens, and when Precious tried to get it back Momma started acting like Precious was stealing Momma's kitten. As of now, I left the kitten with her since I know she's stressed from probably being in Labor, but I just thought I'd share this story with you, since you were nice enough to share your video with us.
Counting the 8+ kittens that survived from my 5 females (All my females got pregnant within a month of each other). Around 18, just a few months ago I had 2 of my males die, 1 due to something with his blood, and the other I think was poisoned by one of my neighbors. The matriach of the cats her litter didn't survive, and she killed the kittens to one of her grand daughters, 1 of my females died in child birth and all 4 of her kittens died, then 1 of my females had a litter of 5, then her little sister has at least 1, but she's semi-feral so no idea since I've only heard em, not seen em. And the last female who is only about 5 - 6 months old atm, had 4 kittens 2 survived.
Preciate it, and it's all from 1 cat I saved. Tried to save her brother too, but he was a fighter and kept coming back missing pieces until he just stopped coming back. The female I saved was (I'm told their called turt's or turtles or something like that?), and the females just keep doing what biology says they need too. :D

My queen gave birth 4 months ago to 4 beautiful kittens that are now running around crazy, there mum is now pregnant again and it was a surprise. Aaa.. I trapped a pregnant stray cat, ..she has been in my custody for 2 weeks now... she still prEGO! I live in the forest, and I just couldn't let her be alone out there with all the wild animals! A couple of weeks ago, a small, beautiful black/white cat came to my deck door. She was SO hungry and her hip bones stood out. I filled her up and quickly discovered that she was pregnant! I took her to the vet the next day and left her for a full physical. She checked out okay except for hook worms and some pollen allergies. Loving animals the way I do, I decided to keep her until she has her babies. I have one other female cat who's spayed and they have become quick friends. I've decided to keep her but will have to re-home the kittens. I'm having a time trying to keep her fed. She's ravenous! Now, I have to figure out where to put a birthing box. I know it needs to be in a quiet area, but I'm still puzzled. Any ideas? *P.S* She got up in my lap this morning and started having contractions and pushing. I prepared a bed for her in a laundry basket and put her in it next to me in the living room. She promptly got into it and laid down. I guess it's going to be a long day! I'm more nervous than she is! I'll keep you posted!!
@@courtneyjane3153 is this true? our cat is an outdoor cat and, to my knowledge, has given birth 2 times already. she is very small so is quite visibly pregnant. i'd say she is quite a naturally maternal mother but there are other cats around and will growl if they come near her while pregnant. last time she gave birth, she did so on my parents' bed; she did not make any sound or anything noticeable to indicate that she was giving birth. i know you're probably not a vet, but if you, or anyone else, can give any advice at all as to what i could do to assist her while not annoying her too much, that would be very much appreciated.
daisychains daisychains by the sounds of it your doing everything right, just keep the noise down and be ready to assist if needed, my female is also pregnant due to lockdown, cancelled her spay op, but yeah a small cat getting pregnant too many times can cause damage, its better to be safe then sorry 💗
I’m helping a stray right now. We named her Celia. She is panting, stopped eating her food, nesting, is wandering around meowing and her stomach is rippling so much. Still waiting for the water break, mucus etc but I’ve got a few spots set up for her so wish us luck 🤞🏻

I’ve provided them with food, water, a clean litter box, and a heated place inside my garage for shelter whenever they need to come in from the cold. Both Queens are very friendly, but I’m not sure if they will allow me to check their temperatures rectally.
an outside kitty we take care of is pregnant for the third time now. we weren’t prepared the first two times but this time we have her in a HUGE cage so when she’s prepared, we can get her spayed. But i love this video because it’s so helpful and we can’t wait for her to have her babies! she’s been scooping litter out of the litter box EVERY DAY and her kittens have been moving around visibly for multiple days now!

My Maine Coon is just in the prelabor phase. She came into the room I was in and meowed at me to get my attention and then led me to the birthing nest I set up for her a couple weeks ago. She definitely wants momma with her and I was so proud of her for going right where I showed her to go when the time came. I have watched so many of these types of videos but being this is her first litter and my first time ever having one of my cats give birth I’m a b it nervous. So thankful for UA-cam videos like these to calm the nerves and remind me I am prepared as much as I can be.
I'm having a hard time understanding how much time it'll take! Her babies are moving a lot and I'm sure she'd be due in maybe 3 days. Can't wait to be an aunt!
if you know the day your cat concieved then you should have an estimate on when she is more than likely to give birth. for example my cat has shown signs of pregnancy (her stomach) around the second to last week of may which mean she has been pregnant for 64 days a pregnancy usually lasts between 60-70 days depending on the breed. sometimes peope say that its really between 63-68 days buut i am not sure which one is the more accurate date. my cats babies have been moving a lot for the past two days so if you can also to relate to that information than the time is soon
My cat is in labor her first litter and this is my second time delivering but the first time was my dog lady she’s had her first litter and she’s had five puppies she’s had three girls and two boys puppies so now I have a cat and this is her first litter and I’m giving her all the love and affection she’s needs to have from as her mom can’t wait I’m going to be an amazing nana yes

The first time that my first female cat ever gave birth, was her just coming down from the attic, meowed at me straight in the eyes, and showed her butt- that the legs of her kitten just came out saying hello to the world😂
I just rescued a stray cat maybe like 6 weeks ago, and two weeks after having her I realized she is pregnant. I just searched up UA-cam videos because I think she might be in labor right now! You can see the babies moving all over inside of her, she isn’t eating, she’s restless and super loving, and she made a nest in the closet and has been going in and out of there for hours now. She made the nest about a week ago. I’m very nervous because I don’t want any of them to not be alive. I’ve only burst puppies and guinea pigs before. Great video though thank you
@@BeauoFu hi, thank you for replying. It actually went well. Thank God I was there with her though because she did run into some trouble. She got extremely weak and lethargic, and wasn't able to clean them off. I sat by her the whole time though and she had five healthy kittens. It's funny because my guess was that they were going to be five. We still have her and four of them now. A friend adopted one of the kittens.
I am so stressed out right now, my cat has just gone into labor, I'm new to this but I've been doing research and I'm doing my best to comfort her. I just hate seeing my baby in so much pain. Update: She had four healthy kittens!! I am so proud of her, she's such a good Mama.❤

My cat just lost her mucus plug, very long almost thick and snotty in texture (for lack of a better word) We have 9 nests made up for her but she has chosen to hide behind the couch on a pillow. I tried keeping her in my room and even set it up 2 weeks ago with 4 different nests but she cried and clawed the door for hours. So we are just following her lead and letting her go where she wants.
My little one went in labor today and well she was freaking out every time i moved away, but i just sat their for like 2 hours watching my cat give birth, I'd occasionally give her a bit of support in the form of pats but she pulled through and now i got a litter of 5

My cat will be due soon so I’m bringing her inside and making a place for her in my room with old clothes, towels, and blankets for her nesting area. She also has dirt above her tail because she can’t reach back there to clean herself so I’m going to attempt to bathe her. Last time I bathed her I sat in the bathtub with her and came out with tons of scratches.

I rescued a kitten from a bad situation. She was locked in her previous owners house without food or water for two weeks, she somehow managed to escape with a ripped out claw... a family member of mine found her and gave her to us. After we had her for about two weeks, the owners came back looking for her. Their other cat had died in the house... we refused to give her back. Turns out she's pregnant, and we didn't realise until about a month ago. She's now going into labour... shes had some seriously bad diarrhoea... she's very tired and I'm not sure if the babies are gonna make it.... I don't care as long as she pulls through. She's a gorgeous mixed ragdoll and a very sweet cat. She is only about 6 months old and I'm terrified for her going through this.
My cat last year when she gave birth she had one but I put her nest on the floor and she choose to go on my bed then be with her child so I had the nest on my bed next to the wall so it wouldn't fall. She got pregnant again and now I'm watching videos to see if I can figure out exactly how old she is in pregnancy. I think she is about one month and 2 to 3 weeks.

Hi, Rose. I actually wouldn't advise having any other cats around the queen at all. It can be stressful for them and although she may be comfortable around him, he could be a-symptomatic for infections that could easily infect the kittens. In terms of help, if she doesn't detach the placentas herself, you may need to intervene. But, of course, give her some time and just monitor her behaviour and initial reaction to the kittens. Once the kittens are born, you can also help her by giving her water and food. At that point, you can also watch to ensure the kittens are latching on and have started drinking milk/colostrum. If you would like her to give birth in the place you had mentioned you set up for her, it would be best to contain her in one room so she has no other choice. Also make sure the room you contain her in doesn't have any high hidden places (such as a cat tree) as kittens can easily fall from them. She may not go into the nest you had made until she has visible contractions. Usually before the active labour they experience restlessness which is why she is currently following you around and meowing. If she is sleeping with your other cat in the nest, as I mentioned it's best to separate her from the that cat so she can be alone. While she may show signs of affection to your other cat now, she could become more aggressive or protective once the kittens are actually born. Also, as I mentioned previously, other cats can easily infect kittens so I do not recommend them staying in the room once the kittens are born. Hope that helps and all the best with her delivery! 💕

I have monitored her and she isn't giving birth to any others She is also very calm and collected, and she even let me pet her gently (after she gave birth) but k didn't stay for long as i was afraid of stressing her out The father is restless thought, he wants to be near her and keeps trying to get close to her, he even meowed and meowed at me as if he was telling me to let him be close with her I have prepared water for the queen and she drank from it But aside from that what should i feed her? Is fish alright? Also a question that made me worried: The prince/princess doesn't have their ears folded, does that mean something bad?
Rose Jam Hi, Rose. Definitely monitor her for the next 24 hours to see if any more kittens are born. Sometimes with small litters the kittens can be born several hours apart. If there’s no more kittens after 24 hours then she probably is done. Just see if you can feel anything still moving around in her tummy if she lets you pet her. What breed are the kittens, Scottish Fold? Folded ear kittens are born with straight ears. If they carry the folded gene the ears will fold down around 4-5 weeks old. If the ears are straight after 5 weeks old, they will have straight ears. It doesn’t mean there’s something wrong, it would just mean they didn’t receive the gene. 🧬😺

Top tip - prepare a chicken stock( soup) 3 chicken breasts, 2 pints of water. Boil until cooked. Blitz, dissolve cat vitamin tablets in when cool. Bag up in 200ml bags & freeze! When in labour, defrost, warm & serve. Keeps queen hydrated, & helps with energy, nutrition & milk production. Serve along side with her food & water after birth.
Your series on cat birthing is really helping me. A stray kitten found me and was already pregnant. It has been difficult to get her to a vet, and I was not certain what to do about preparing for baby arrivals. I feel much better prepared after viewing your videos. same here, not entire sure if she is even pregnant. got her off the streets jan 29th, last vet appointment for kitten series since unsure how old she is or if she ever had shots(maybe 7-9 months old) feb 28th. Vet said NOTHING about her possibly except he kept saying to wait before I get her spayed when I've been trying since I got her, suppose to get spayed april 18th) being pregnant but her nipples have changed, body changed, always hungry I felt movement 3/22 so...guess we'll find out in 2 weeks if she is pregnant. I refuse to go back to vet to pay 200 bill to tell me she probably is pregnant. (b4 anyone says anything yes I am aware of possible worms and fluid, but she has no bad symptoms none except distended abd)

Don't worry just make sure you're feeding well and enough for a pregnant cat and give her a lot of water.
One more thing if she is young she may want you next to her. My cat didn't let me go anywhere just to stay next to her. Even if it was very late.

This was really informative, thank you! My cat Pepper is about 7 weeks pregnant and its her first litter. She's already very friendly, loves food, and hyper, so some of the things you said that aren't related to those are very helpful to know. Our calico Poodoo had her kittens three nights ago. Earlier in the day, I said I think today is the day because she was acting so restless, and I had a strong feeling. My son had set up a box behind his bed and that's where she had them, all five. We slept right through the labor and birth. So, now we have five adorable kittens - 1 girl (a calico) & 4 boys (all different configurations of black & white)!

I literally looked to the side of my Cat and saw a ton of movement in her abdominal area yesterday I caught her chewing on a ton of cardboard my other cat did that when she was going into labour and she did that if you days before she was going into labour to so I think she might going to labour in like 2 to 3 days

I just got home from work and noticed the stray cat we've been feeding for years was being really vocal and looking for the storage closet where she gave birth to the first litter. I just made sure she had comfortable bedding and food and water. Bless her heart for giving birth in this Texas heat😢
Please get her spayed after she gives birth. There are trap and neuter programs through most of your local animal welfare offices that won't cost anything. They'll even loan you a trap to use. Each kitten will have more kittens and they in turn will have kittens and then people will get tired of all the cats and put out poison or hawks will kill them. I take care of many homeless cats and dogs and see this repeatedly. The only way to keep them healthy and safe is spay/neuter programs with their rabies shots (at a minimum) which are usually provided free of charge. The kittens will need the same. If not they'll all be fighting for territory in the future and brothers will impregnate sisters. Please think about it.

Last year I had a cat, she came to my room I was laying on my bed and she jumped next to me and I felt like she’s isn’t normal, then she went into my closet so I knew she’s going to give birth, I brought her a box with a towel and she gave birth silently she was amazing and I stayed with her, she needed comforting and wanted me beside her, when I move she was aiming to go out of the box so I stayed with her about half an hour laboring until she delivered her first one, and she had 4 one of them wasn’t moving or breathing at first but it was fine later.
This year my other cat omg she went crazy in her labor, when it was time to birth her first one she was rolling through the stairs like a ball crying and rolling around, she didn’t stay in her box, at the end she rolled under the couch and gave birth, then when she finished delivering my dad moved her to a box.
Thank you so much for going over these things, and sharing the video with us. I have 3 female cats, and 2 of them were pregnant at the same time, but the younger one (the oldest daughter of the momma cat.), and she was doing all the things you mentioned. She's not an indoor cat, but I've seen her tearing up the sand in my yard, digging fairly deep holes in my forest, and the super affectionate actions to her 2 daughters.
It all came to a head today when she started laying on her side in random places, and panting really heavy. And when I went to put some food out for the girls, the kittens from the oldest of the daughters started crying, and next thing I know the oldest cat (I call em Momma, Precious, and Cubby. Precious just gave birth a few weeks ago, and Momma is still pregnant (with her third litter).). And so Momma goes running by with one of Precious's kittens, and when Precious tried to get it back Momma started acting like Precious was stealing Momma's kitten.
As of now, I left the kitten with her since I know she's stressed from probably being in Labor, but I just thought I'd share this story with you, since you were nice enough to share your video with us.
How many cats do you have now?
Counting the 8+ kittens that survived from my 5 females (All my females got pregnant within a month of each other). Around 18, just a few months ago I had 2 of my males die, 1 due to something with his blood, and the other I think was poisoned by one of my neighbors.
The matriach of the cats her litter didn't survive, and she killed the kittens to one of her grand daughters, 1 of my females died in child birth and all 4 of her kittens died, then 1 of my females had a litter of 5, then her little sister has at least 1, but she's semi-feral so no idea since I've only heard em, not seen em. And the last female who is only about 5 - 6 months old atm, had 4 kittens 2 survived.

A couple of weeks ago, a small, beautiful black/white cat came to my deck door. She was SO hungry and her hip bones stood out. I filled her up and quickly discovered that she was pregnant! I took her to the vet the next day and left her for a full physical. She checked out okay except for hook worms and some pollen allergies.
Loving animals the way I do, I decided to keep her until she has her babies. I have one other female cat who's spayed and they have become quick friends. I've decided to keep her but will have to re-home the kittens. I'm having a time trying to keep her fed. She's ravenous! Now, I have to figure out where to put a birthing box. I know it needs to be in a quiet area, but I'm still puzzled. Any ideas?
*P.S* She got up in my lap this morning and started having contractions and pushing. I prepared a bed for her in a laundry basket and put her in it next to me in the living room. She promptly got into it and laid down. I guess it's going to be a long day! I'm more nervous than she is! I'll keep you posted!!

is this true? our cat is an outdoor cat and, to my knowledge, has given birth 2 times already. she is very small so is quite visibly pregnant. i'd say she is quite a naturally maternal mother but there are other cats around and will growl if they come near her while pregnant.
last time she gave birth, she did so on my parents' bed; she did not make any sound or anything noticeable to indicate that she was giving birth.
i know you're probably not a vet, but if you, or anyone else, can give any advice at all as to what i could do to assist her while not annoying her too much, that would be very much appreciated.

I have two pregnant stray cats that visit my backyard periodically. I’ve provided them with food, water, a clean litter box, and a heated place inside my garage for shelter whenever they need to come in from the cold. Both Queens are very friendly, but I’m not sure if they will allow me to check their temperatures rectally.

an outside kitty we take care of is pregnant for the third time now. we weren’t prepared the first two times but this time we have her in a HUGE cage so when she’s prepared, we can get her spayed. But i love this video because it’s so helpful and we can’t wait for her to have her babies! she’s been scooping litter out of the litter box EVERY DAY and her kittens have been moving around visibly for multiple days now!

My Maine Coon is just in the prelabor phase. She came into the room I was in and meowed at me to get my attention and then led me to the birthing nest I set up for her a couple weeks ago. She definitely wants momma with her and I was so proud of her for going right where I showed her to go when the time came. I have watched so many of these types of videos but being this is her first litter and my first time ever having one of my cats give birth I’m a b it nervous. if you know the day your cat concieved then you should have an estimate on when she is more than likely to give birth. for example my cat has shown signs of pregnancy (her stomach) around the second to last week of may which mean she has been pregnant for 64 days a pregnancy usually lasts between 60-70 days depending on the breed. sometimes peope say that its really between 63-68 days buut i am not sure which one is the more accurate date. my cats babies have been moving a lot for the past two days so if you can also to relate to that information than the time is soon

The first time that my first female cat ever gave birth, was her just coming down from the attic, meowed at me straight in the eyes, and showed her butt- that the legs of her kitten just came out saying hello to the world😂

I just rescued a stray cat maybe like 6 weeks ago, and two weeks after having her I realized she is pregnant. I just searched up UA-cam videos because I think she might be in labor right now! You can see the babies moving all over inside of her, she isn’t eating, she’s restless and super loving, and she made a nest in the closet and has been going in and out of there for hours now. She made the nest about a week ago. I’m very nervous because I don’t want any of them to not be alive. I’ve only burst puppies and guinea pigs before. Great video though thank you

@@BeauoFu hi, thank you for replying. It actually went well. Thank God I was there with her though because she did run into some trouble. She got extremely weak and lethargic, and wasn't able to clean them off. I sat by her the whole time though and she had five healthy kittens. It's funny because my guess was that they were going to be five. We still have her and four of them now. A friend adopted one of the kittens.

My cat just lost her mucus plug, very long almost thick and snotty in texture (for lack of a better word) We have 9 nests made up for her but she has chosen to hide behind the couch on a pillow. I tried keeping her in my room and even set it up 2 weeks ago with 4 different nests but she cried and clawed the door for hours. So we are just following her lead and letting her go where she wants.
My Queen is not being affectionate toward her brother. She’s annoyed by him so have him away from her for now. 😬

My cat will be due soon so I’m bringing her inside and making a place for her in my room with old clothes, towels, and blankets for her nesting area. She also has dirt above her tail because she can’t reach back there to clean herself so I’m going to attempt to bathe her. Last time I bathed her I sat in the bathtub with her and came out with tons of scratches.

In my family we have had 1 pregnant cat ,but this is my 1st time being a cat mother caretaker ,,because this is the first time for me , I raised Her from being a kitten all the way to her own motherhood I'm sad and excited at the same time This cat has so much trust in me It's hard Think what it would be like if she didn't.The cat's name is Precious and she's the cutest little Cotton ball.

I rescued a kitten from a bad situation. She was locked in her previous owners house without food or water for two weeks, she somehow managed to escape with a ripped out claw... a family member of mine found her and gave her to us. After we had her for about two weeks, the owners came back looking for her. Their other cat had died in the house... we refused to give her back.
Turns out she's pregnant, and we didn't realise until about a month ago. She's now going into labour... shes had some seriously bad diarrhoea... she's very tired and I'm not sure if the babies are gonna make it.... I don't care as long as she pulls through. She's a gorgeous mixed ragdoll and a very sweet cat. She is only about 6 months old and I'm terrified for her going through this.
Please be very careful I had a cat and she passed while giving birth so if she has problems please take her to the vet
My cat last year when she gave birth she had one but I put her nest on the floor and she choose to go on my bed then be with her child so I had the nest on my bed next to the wall so it wouldn't fall.
She got pregnant again and now I'm watching videos to see if I can figure out exactly how old she is in pregnancy. I think she is about one month and 2 to 3 weeks.

Hi, Rose. I actually wouldn't advise having any other cats around the queen at all. It can be stressful for them and although she may be comfortable around him, he could be a-symptomatic for infections that could easily infect the kittens.
In terms of help, if she doesn't detach the placentas herself, you may need to intervene. But, of course, give her some time and just monitor her behaviour and initial reaction to the kittens. Once the kittens are born, you can also help her by giving her water and food. At that point, you can also watch to ensure the kittens are latching on and have started drinking milk/colostrum.
If you would like her to give birth in the place you had mentioned you set up for her, it would be best to contain her in one room so she has no other choice. Also make sure the room you contain her in doesn't have any high hidden places (such as a cat tree) as kittens can easily fall from them. She may not go into the nest you had made until she has visible contractions. Usually before the active labour they experience restlessness which is why she is currently following you around and meowing.
If she is sleeping with your other cat in the nest, as I mentioned it's best to separate her from the that cat so she can be alone. While she may show signs of affection to your other cat now, she could become more aggressive or protective once the kittens are actually born. Also, as I mentioned previously, other cats can easily infect kittens so I do not recommend them staying in the room once the kittens are born.

My queen just gave birth 3 hours ago and strangely it's just one kitten? I have monitored her and she isn't giving birth to any others
She is also very calm and collected, and she even let me pet her gently (after she gave birth) but k didn't stay for long as i was afraid of stressing her out
The father is restless thought, he wants to be near her and keeps trying to get close to her, he even meowed and meowed at me as if he was telling me to let him be close with her
I have prepared water for the queen and she drank from it
But aside from that what should i feed her? Is fish alright?
Also a question that made me worried:
The prince/princess doesn't have their ears folded, does that mean something bad?
Rose Jam Hi, Rose. Definitely monitor her for the next 24 hours to see if any more kittens are born. Sometimes with small litters the kittens can be born several hours apart. If there’s no more kittens after 24 hours then she probably is done. Just see if you can feel anything still moving around in her tummy if she lets you pet her.
What breed are the kittens, Scottish Fold? Folded ear kittens are born with straight ears. If they carry the folded gene the ears will fold down around 4-5 weeks old. If the ears are straight after 5 weeks old, they will have straight ears. It doesn’t mean there’s something wrong, it would just mean they didn’t receive the gene. 🧬😺

i have been monitoring the queen since she gave birth, i felt around her tummy with her consent and didn't feel any movement but i'm going to monitor her
and the breed of my cats are unknown because i am no expert hehe, but i do know that they both aren't Scottish fold, so far the lil one has been really calm but also loud when the queen gets up 😂 they are so cute!
