  • Heyyyy!
We’re back with another highly requested video! This is for everyone who wants to host their own candle making class but have no clue where to start. Don’t worry, girl - I got you! Every candle making class (or experience - what I like to call it lol) that i’ve hosted has been sold out so I put together a few things that have helped me become successful in doing so.
If you want more details or a timeline of how I run my classes, a detailed of list of supplies, or just need help with marketing overall to promote your class here is a link to my EBOOK: stan.store/taylorcandleandco/...
If you have any questions that didn’t get answered in this video feel free to drop them in the comments below and I will make a part 2 video :)
(P.S. sorry about the glare, my contacts were irritating me so I decided to wear my glasses and didn’t realize how harsh the lighting was. I was thinking about scraping this video but you know what - let this be motivation to still put your content out there even if it’s not perfect. As long as you are bringing value to your audience, that’s all that matters anyways!)
Be sure to like, comment and subscribe if you found this video useful, girl!
(My amazon storefront also contains all of the candle class supplies I use)
Lastly, don’t forget to add in the cost of how much the venue or space you’re renting out into the price of your class tickets.

So realisticly I am on a small budget but I went ahead and started purchasing items for my first class. But I can't decide on FO. FO is expensive and the thought of letting people just play around in my oil is not making me have the warm fuzzies about doing a class. Can you reccomend approximately how many fragrances I can start with and have a good class.

hey girl! im sure you have plenty of 2oz fragrance oils that you bought before from suppliers and either didn’t end up using for your signature line or just didn’t like, right? use those! the perfect way to make do with what you have until you decide what scents you want to keep in rotation for your classes.

What if you have a candle bar do you recommend having a scales. I feel that it’s total different then having a candle party

Do you use the same scents and recipes you sell or do you have them make whatever they want? My biggest worry is how do they pick their scent without a recipe... like making their own so how would they know what wick?

hi! nope I make sure that none of the oils I currently have in my signature line of candles are scents they use. I think we as candle makers have those worries but if the customer is only using for example: 1oz of fragrance to the (10.5oz in my case) candle it should be fine. of course if you have any doubts you should always test! the system I have works really well for me and customers from the class have sent me pics of their candles and it burns/looks perfect. I hope this helps 😊

Did you buy the melting pots individually or in bulk? Where did you purchase yours if you don’t mind sharing
