Yes! We need more people talking about this and doing it. You are the second candle maker in 2 years of me watching that have talked about protection outside of gloves. A couple lit candles I can handle, but a spilled F/O bottle? I break out or start gasping (and not from the $ loss, *rimshot). Some people can even get allergies after prolonged use.
It's honestly been an absolute necessity. I got covid back in October and my sinuses and lungs have NOT been the same since and I cannot go a day without this mask. It's vital and allows me to make a long day longer without going home and feeling like I am breathing through a straw. Thanks for chiming in on this important topic!
I’m glad you brought that up, I stopped making candles for a bit just to see if my symptoms could be related to candle making and sure enough my allergy symptoms were gone after a few days they were so bad so yes protecting yourselves is very important!! Now to start stocking up on masks
Hi there! How long do you wear the mask? Just during the pouring phase? Or in the beginning stages as they begin to cure as well? I find that the smell is in the air long after pouring so not sure how long it should be worn.
Since I have a separate space now and no longer in my kitchen, I wear it as soon as the first pour is made and until I head out for the day. It's a pain but it helps a lot!
I love this woman for helping the candle community, she deserves a recognition award! ❤🎉
Yay! Thank you!

We need to start regarding protective equipment as cool!
TOTALLY agree!!!
I use this mask as well. The scents can be so overpowering, by the end if the day you can taste it. I almost gave up on candles.
Definitely!
I think I’m going to get one everything you named I’m having problems with. Thanks for this ❤❤❤❤

Thank you for the information, and also just one quick question. Where do you catch your candle jars?❤❤😊
