- "Everything Happens to Me," written by Tom Adair and Matt Dennis in 1940 & first recorded by the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra featuring Frank Sinatra, was later recorded by Sinatra accompanied by the Hollywood String Quartet with arrangement by Nelson Riddle for his 1957 Capitol album Close to You. The song was recorded on April 4,1956, & the album released in February 1957. The album became available on CD on the Blue Moon label in 2010.
I love Mr. Sinatra .!!! He even sang this song and it sounds like me and my life. Thank you Mr. Sinatra for this song. He had the best voice when he was young.

He sounds only slight put out by all the negatives in his life. Made me smile. Saying that even love couldn’t fix things. Maybe his Eyeore complex made her decide to leave. So despite his lovely crooning, the lyrics remind me that there will always be people that are the type that will win a prize and complain about the taxes on it. Que sera sera. Still, it made he smile.
