I've watched many of your videos in preparation for my trip to Glacier, and they really helped me pick the best trails! I actually did this same hike two days after you did. What an incredible hike... probably the most epic hike of my life. We DID see the grizzly by Oldman Lake, maybe 20 yards from the trail. Scary! Luckily he had zero interest in passing hikers. We saw the same moose near Pray Lake in the morning. I had an amazing day doing this hike, but my knees still haven't forgiven me for that long, steep, descent down Bighorn Valley. Thanks for making these fantastic videos!

Conditions were impeccable; as if the colder temps cleared the air quality even more making it pretty awesome 👍⛰ The group hiking behind us caught sight of a grizzly feeding on the huckleberries by Oldman Lake. Hiking gods were in our favor this day. Thank you!!

We hiked the Upper Two Medicine Lake Trail in early September and were so blown away by the beauty that we are considering doing the Pitamakan Dawson Loop one day. I did some research after my vacation and came across your great video - awesome! Wonderful shots. May I ask what video equipment you used to film it?
Pitamakan / Dawson loop is one of our favorite day hikes - we have done it several times. On this video we exclusively used a GoPro 12 for all footage. We started with the GoPro 7 black several years ago and have also used the 11 and now the 12. Small, light, waterproof, shockproof, good in all ways. The only drawback to the GoPro is the inability to zoom in on much of anything. Other than that, I think it’s the way to go for hiking and outdoor stuff. Montana cheers and enjoy the wilds!

Any significant snows yet? I see some dusting on the peaks.
Just a bit of snow on the peaks. Very small amounts of snow/ice in some of the shady spots on the continental divide.
