California wildfires: Santa Barbara County lake fire burns more than 13,250 acres

- After prompting several road closures and evacuation warnings, a fast-moving wildfire in California’s Santa Barbara County is continuing to burn - reportedly covering more than 13,250 acres as of Saturday night.
The Zaca Lake area blaze began on Friday afternoon and as of Saturday afternoon, “remains active” and has been contained “0 per cent,” as Scott Safechuck, the public information officer for Santa Barbara County’s fire department wrote on X.
While the cause of the fire remains unknown, hot, dry and windy conditions in the region have forced fire officials and forecasters to issue various warnings about the risk of wildfires.

You people always with your animal talk. We have mountain lions in those habitats bc so many people don't want dangerous animals to be hunted anymore. Nobody has ever heard of things like that in history before these things were invented very recently.
So glad they saved the cabins at Zaca Lake. If you like appliances that don't work as advertised and you love to listen to rats and mice crawl about in the walls with the occasional stink rodent poop penetrating into your room, then you definitely would like to stay at Zaca Lake.

Not even close! Lahaina was an extreme wind event. This is just an everyday run of the mill wildfire in dry Santa Barbara County.

I have never once seen a Californian make a mean spirited comment on discussions about deadly hurricanes in Florida, Texas, etc., or about deadly tornadoes in the Midwest or flooding in the southeast.
