Guys - nicely done. Was just surfing around to see who had sung my tune and happened on "The Hunky Bunch!" What you guys do with 4 voices rivals bigger groups. Bravo - and thanks for singing my tune. ~ Kurt
Wow, Mr. Bestor! We are humbled. Thank you for your gift of music and for the kind words, it's an honor to sing this piece and to have you to listen. Best wishes - Dan, Tipper, Josh, and Matt
@@thehunkybunchquartet2263 I'm with the composer here.............the four of you sound every bit as good as the bigger choirs............a truly beautiful rendition.............God bless. Greetings from Tasmania.
Mr. Bestor, I once read (grossly paraphrasing, I'm sure) that you were quite surprised when "Prayer of the Children" caught fire. But it is one of the very few pieces I've kept with me in my heart since singing them. Thank you for this gift. - Kim Heidebrecht, formerly of the South Coast Chorale, Long Beach, CA.
I've loved this song for years and you guys do it great justice. I went looking for Prayer of the Children tonight as the 40 mile Russian military convoy heads to Kyiv. My cheeks are tear-stained. Wishing for peace. Thanks for this beautiful rendition and thanks to Kurt for sharing it with the world!
Had to subscribe. I'd never heard "Prayer of the Children." It moved me deeply, in a way I haven't felt since I last performed it with the South Coast Chorale, probably 1997 or '98.
Arranged a quartet for solo ensemble at my high school and my director showed me this piece that he did in college and I feel in love and so did my colleagues and now we are learning the crud out of it and I'll be using this video to help learn and understand this piece better.
This is by far the best version of this song on youtube, it just bums me out that stylistically you guys chose to do a solemn piece like this in such a fast tempo.

@@k.j.heidebrecht2801 agreed. I’ve sung this song a couple times with choirs 10-15 years ago and i bring it up on UA-cam a lot to sing along with.
Mr Bestor, thank you so much for such a beautiful piece of music, so wonderfully well performed by these four gentlemen.

There is honestly nothing better in this world than the sound of men who can sing well together! Great job! This song is so emotional❤
Great work guys! No autotune, pure music! Thank you.
Really beautiful!! Nice and clean recording, sounds very pleasant on my Sennheiser headphone
Really nice. Excellent harmonization and overall balance. Wonderful tune.
I never get tired of hearing a gorgeous rendition of this song ! Maybe if we can cause it, it will not be relevant one day.
Absolutely fantastic! Congrats to all of you!!!
Thank you for the great recording quality. And otherwise awesome sound!

I Agree
BRAVO!
OMG that Bass is broken, well done guys
Where can I get a copy of this arrangement? It's beautiful and I want my quartet to try it!
Who sings which parts? Going from left (guy in the square pattern shirt) to right
Hi Bob from left to right i think SABT but the SA goes lower octave
this is really really nice but the baritone forgot to resolve the suspension near the end it threw me off so hard
❤️🙏
