- On this episode, we travel to Dayton,TN to attend the Hot Rod Hoarder swap meet and take a tour of their private collection. We come home with some goodies from the swap meet and made several new friends. Huge thanks to Wesley from @KeyesKustoms for setting this up and Tommy from @HotRodHoarder for letting us hang out and allowing us into his shop.

I appreciate you guys coming to check the place out! We're ready to change the scenery a little bit...let's make a deal!
I have a 32 bantam I would trade.
The front wheels on the Henry J were interesting. Aluminum? Are those from "space saver" spare tires? 80's turbo T birds had similar ones.
Subbed!
You are very welcome my friend. Was great meeting you all and hanging out. Thank you for that. Folks these are some of the coolest realist people you will EVER meet. Please Subscribe, share and like their videos. So they can continue to release content like this!
Soo few people really truly care about Drag racing history anymore...
But Hot Rod Hoarder is a different breed of man...
I appreciate every thing that he does, and everything that he saves...👍
That slingshot with the six-carb Hemi.... '50s old-skool. Gotta love it.
Great content, and Newburn is an interesting and knowledgable guy, I'm nearly enjoying the videos - but PLEASE sort out the sound.
We are working on it ❤
Hot Rod Hoarder is awesome I love his show as well as you Dave great to see your wife and friends Happy Holidays brother!!😎🇺🇸👍🏻🦅😇🙏
Before you buy it ask Derek from vice grip garage what it’s like to drive a car with an engine sitting beside your leg inside the car and you’re sitting in the backseat. See how far he drove that AMC he bought.
Hah!
Honestly…I wouldn’t ask the clown for directions to the nearest CircleK!
I was just thinking the same thing when he said, I wonder what's it like .. lol
I came here to say this same thing
Not so great minds think alike!
My buddies and I drive our Cobras by there quite often heading over the mountain. I've seen the cobra sitting beside the garage for several years but didn't know he had all that other stuff. Nice collection of vintage parts. Thanks for showing us.
The first stop before the Swap Meet was the coolest thing ever and you won the lottery on wives brother
17:00 that truck looks like something Evel Knievel would have owned.
Now we know where the REALLY vintage stuff wound up! What a cool collection, thanks for taking us along!
I am so glad you got your channel with all the crazy stuff going on with motortend. Man keep on being cool brother and give Dan from dd speed shop hell every chance you get. I love both you guys. And all your co host cotton everybody all of you guys keep us Entertained
To start off with you only look or care about what's in front of you!!!!! Not what is behind or beside of you and you damm sure don't worry about no damm exhaust fumes you can breathe once you finally get going 😂 just try not to pass out or have an panic attack before hand 😂😂😂😂😂 this is my first time ever watching your channel and dammit what an video 😊
I wish you a lot of success with your channel. Subscribed.
What an adventure , thanks for posting Dave

Awesome collaboration video!!!! Been watching you both for years! Hopefully you guys can do more together in the future.
The problem with swap meets is I want to buy everything!
You got that right!
I love his channel. Love the history.
Thanks for sharing your tour of this incredible place!
Cool tour! Saw ya at the swap meet. Been to the swap 3 meet years in a row now. I finally made a few dollars and came home with them. I usually spend what i make there, with others at the swap meet.
Newbern is closing in on 100k subs!
Go man go!
That altered is bad ass. I run a 60s altered, and yes they are fun/sketchy to drive. I run a coupler style drive shaft now, but ran a u-joint style for years with no problem.
In South Sacramento, CA, in the 1960s the Bungay brothers bought a new Kellison body like that one.
The reason Big Daddy Garlits championed rear engine dragsters is because he got tired of seeing his friends getting burned up and killed from the front engine dragsters!!!!
There's a reason why all those dragsters are in the weeds for decades, they're death mobiles! Stay clear!
I love the Henry J though!👍😎
Lol I'm building one, Buy Classic's Not Plastic's is the first video I've gotten together. Haven't gotten too far into the project but I've got the frame, rearend, powertrain and a 72 gremlin X shell. Need to find s front end yet.
Don built it cuz he had half his foot blown off by a clutch explosion at Lions in 1970. He also had a blower explosion in 1959 that severely burned his face and hands, and nearly killed him. Only his leather jacket saved his life.
You go on some cool adventures. I need to get out more often.
I liked the Lynnwood dragster in the shop. My dad ran one of their altered’s back in the day.
Monza damn bad ass
I have always been a fan of the Henry J. Built one when I was a mere 12 years old. Granted it was a model car (my first really). If I could own one I would dissapoint all of you since I would want to keep it stock with maybe the exception of a 289 or 302 with a 4 speed. Just simple driver...
Awesome collection 🎉🎉🎉❤❤🤍🤍💙💙
There is a More American Graffiti cut on youtube somewhere of just the Milner scenes. Definitely the correct way to watch that movie.
Cheers for the content brother 👍
Always loved the Henry J.
Wow that's cool as hell yeah man that sounds great ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Some great hot rods 👍👍
Nice to look at, sure glad i don't have to figure out what to do with it!
Regarding the new ramp truck.....I think you should extend the cab (C50) and not cut the frame 10"
Just a thought 🤔
I’ve wanted a slingshot for years now. If I had a shop and welder that’s the first thing I’d be building. I absolutely love late 50’s/early 60’s dragsters and gassers. I’m tall and fat though, so I probably wouldn’t fit well in any dragsters that are already made. I need to build one to fit my frame.
Amazing collection
I've been watching hot rod hoarder for quite a while now
No, do not trade your race car. Keep it and buy the other one you want...
The correct answer right?
Hell yeah!!! Some cool ass shit!!!
When does a race car become art? I think I saw some art.
It's times like this I so wish I'd been born in the states.
Ok my top 3.
1 the Shelby cobra
2 the blue knuckle head
3 the 34 ford sedan
I say you trade the race car for that 55 wagon! that thing is bad ass.
That 60’s Chevy impala wagon could have the high hp 327 if it’s a 65’ or later. I pulled 3 of them in the 80’s and dropped them in 327 Camaro’s that had blow #’s Match motors. Headers an intake and Holly 750 they would Dino around 365 hp pretty regular. Not a great motor but a good punchy factory motor.
Happy Thanksgiving 🤘🤠🤘
Dang it, you met the Hotrod Hoarder guy, I have been at a bunch of car shows where he was and have never gotten to meet him.
So cool 😎
Dave I have a FED I would happily let you try it.
Pretty cool video. Those are some pretty awesome people. When are you going to come to Alaska and help me get my 63LeMans going?
Hey David, I saw this Henry J at a car show in Senoia a few months ago. I’ll message you the pics
9:20 awesome
Is that a kellison?.
I wonder if that super snake car blue and white was owned by don prude home
Awesomeness
That was cool
Nova wagon is nice too
All the toys
I love your show ,I love it when you go to these old hot rod shops and you let the rest of us check it out also, it makes for a really cool show, I wanted to show you my mid-engine C10 , I know you like to check out things that are different this is definitely different, I don't know if you've seen it yet , it's been on the internet ,it's a 69, 454, mid-engine , C10 ,it's street legal , I built it myself here in Utah, using an Ace Champion v-drive not a transaxle, I'm just a hobbyist , but I believe it's the only one like it anywhere , CLICK ON THE LITTLE CIRCLE NEXT TO THE PARAGRAPH HERE A FEW TIMES and it should pull up my video ,let me know what you think of my build ,talk to you later,
Wow that guy has got some cool stuff. Was that 55 wagon a 2 or 4 door?
Thought I seen you there.
A driveshaft up the rear blower?
That's definitely going on my NOT to do list.
All I can say is a feller could make some awfully bad decisions wondering around those yards!! Hope you folks had a great day!👍
Who bought the Kellison??
55 wagon
Allot of old cool stuff in his garage..Like they say you want to look into a mans soul look inside his garage..
Why is it not a Hot Wheels car? Somebody should submit it to them.
Wish you would have spent more time on the thumbnail car.
Great channel, but you cranked up the ad revenue, 6 commercials in an 18min video is brutal.
UA-cam actually selects what and when to place them. I believe if you subscribe to UA-cam you can watch without ads or forward them faster.
@ people with channels can select how heavy to make ads appear, depending what they hope to earn. Of course you take the chance of it effecting you negatively if you ad bomb your audience, they won’t stick around long.
Hay hope all are having a good Sunday afternoon. Appreciate the video Dave 🔨🪛🛠️🏁🇺🇸💪. Remember everyone Please let Jesus Christ come into your life and heart 🙏✝️
Nice Junk 🙀🙊🙀
Expensive stuff just sitting outside? must live in a low crime rate area
No
Hey, we like your video very much and would like to invite you to review ATOTO's latest AI interactive display that can control the display content with voice. I wonder if you are interested?
There was a Henry J back in the day that was set up just like that with the motor in the driver's compartment and the driver actually sat in the back seat and it was a pretty famous drag car at the time I wonder if that's it
I woilda tried to work a trade , the Opal for the 55 wagon
