  • Student Doctor Diana Mantilla is a 3rd year medical student at KCU, hailing from Miami, FL via the University of Alabama to endure the fabulous winters in Kansas City. Prior to matriculating she earned her master's degree in medical sciences, and worked as a home health aid. She is the immediate past president of the anesthesia interest group for the KC campus and continues to advocate for the field as a current ASA delegate. In 2022 she was awarded the Foundation for Anesthesia Research MSARF fellowship opportunity with the University of Vermont. Since then her interests in pediatric anesthesia and the implications of cerebrovascular dysfunction during fetal development have skyrocketed! Outside of science, she is a wife, a mom to a spunky 5yr girl, leads Sunday school at her local church, and is a lover of Samoyed dogs.
