- A bit of a surprise when I saw these in game, but it's nice to see gambit get these guys as enemies to fight

I love that they didn’t even try to put in the effort to animate his mouth moving so they just fucking put the coin over his face when he shows it and changed the camera angle
Honestly it was pretty funny when I saw it for the first time
Game development in a nutshell, work smarter not harder.
Bungie being lazy? Who could’ve guessed
By that logic animators who make cartoons are lazy whenever a character puts his hand over his mouth when he’s talking

I don’t want them to update gambit. Everytime they do it, it gets worse. Gambit OG was the best. It was balanced, had a cool tie-breaker and was a decent time-sink while not being too long.
@@mr.t0xic100 it was but the problem is gambit can't be the same as it used to be, not because Bungie but because of powercreep. The power we have now would just destroy old gambit, and it destroys new gambit when the slogging part is over.
@@mr.t0xic100 gambit use to be good because people were bad at it, it's nothing related at all to what Bungies done, the more people optimized the fun out of the mode, the worse it got
@@DefinitelyFroggyDioBrandoI never experienced old Gambit, but couldn’t Bungie scale up the add density, rework how motes dropped, and otherwise just make minor updates to how the mode played in order to keep the same level of “difficulty”.
(I am a D1 vet though. Never got into D2 till Season of the Arrivals, and even then, I barely played D2 and just waited till Beyond Light)
@@barstool9156 they could, but increased density wouldn't matter due to ridiculous DPS capability, and increased density would make the PvP worse due to the weapons we have. (see eyes of tomorrow) A rework to how motes drop might work but if it's tied to killing ads then it wouldn't work due to the weapons and abilities we have that let everyone wipe out an army and if it's tied to a strong enemy then again DPS. Gambit is a mess that could be so much better but it'll never be the same

They usually just use their animation algorithm to do it for them.
If I had to animate a characters mouth for every language, I'd take the easy route too

bungie doesn't animate for every language. Cyberpunk does, but bungie don't
When I first heard the intro for the Shadow Legion I was so goddamned hyped, like FINALLY we get a new faction in Gambit. Hopefully the Dread make it in sometime before 2030.
I have a feeling Dread would be sprinkled in with another faction, as they only have like two fodder types and the tormentors and subjugators
Immagine sending a tormentor as a assediant, it will be wild.
It’d be pretty interesting to see the Dread in gambit. Would shake things up a bit

Finally they touched the dead corpse of gambit and give it some love. We need more of it, new maps or the supreme gambit back. Its my personal favorite activity and i want it to be morr popular

I played Gambit other day and literally just realised I was playing on the Cathedral of Scars Map. Took me aback slightly we suprised to see it

i didn’t knew they added lucent hive and shadow legion to the factions
I would love a season where we end up working with The drifter to find whatever the f*** killed his old crew and almost killed him
That would go hard but i think the big theory is that it was some kind of prototype Tormentor, considering the entities description. Personally i think it was the Aphellion or whatever the fuck those creatures are called. Either way exploring more deep lore ingame would be really cool!

People complaining about the animation- get off your high horse. They added two new factions, brought back a map, and made Gambit a lot more challenging than the end of the last season.

I'm a bit surprised the Dread don't get one. Then again, they could have only been conjured in the Pale Heart by the Witness and three of the seven units are considered bosses.

Gambit has fireteam based matchmaking, same as Trials & Comp. No need for freelance, it's automatic.

I don’t see the point of adding shadow legion into the mode when there’s no dread units. It’s literally just purple cabal
Different elemental shields, overshield backpacks, and slightly different AI make enough of a difference. Keep in mind that they didn’t add them into the rotation, they took out the Red Legion too. So this is the Cabal faction we face in Gambit now

The biggest L in the final shape besides duel destiny, was drifter and cayde never had a interaction with each other.
How on earth was Dual Destiny an L? It was arguably the single best Exotic mission Bungie has EVER made!

I’m sure in Bungie’s eyes, they think adding this is the equivalent of a Forsaken style update. In reality though, they care so little about Gambit that they couldn’t even be bothered to animate his mouth.
And when this enviably does nothing to improve the state/population of Gambit, you know they’ll think “But looks at ALL the work we did to update Gambit! Guess we were right to keep ignoring it!” 🤦♂️
