    Hugo, get the first two Thunderbirds records. Listen to Jimmie and listen to the band collectively. Jimmie style is subtle but his leads and rhythms in the context of those records are beautifully sublime. It took me years to get it. I am not looking to argue with you. I want you to approach it with an open mind and hopefully thank me later. :) There is much beauty in his work.

    Why the fuck is everyone hating on this guy? He is the older brother of Stevie Ray Fucking Vaughan for Christ's sake. Besides, he inspired Stevie to play

    Jimi thank you for keepin on with music. Will you take on a student to learn from you in the traditional way? Who taught you anyhow? Hope to see ya soon. Ed

    Hey ! I listen already those record and he was good !! It was before the death of is Brother. What I notice it's Jimmy change is playing after his brother's death. That's totally normal after 1994 he start playing always the same lick etc... Since that day Jimmy change and never play the guitar like he was doing so many years ago ! that's sad !

    Jimmie taught Stevie to play guitar and even if Stevie went further his older brother is still a great guitarist .Eric Clapton always invites him at Crossroads guitar festival.Different style but, his blues-rock is awesome in his simplicity. However is a question of personal taste.

    Hugo, if you could do that, you would be playing at Antone's and not watching the video and commenting about how "I can do that" That's stupid and ignorant. Listen to the body of his work and you might realize what he's going for here. It's not unlike Miles Davis at the end of his career. I'll check you out when you're posted on UA-cam demonstrating your guitar virtuosity.

    OK ! What I deplore is after all those years he never change is way too play always the same pentatonic pattern the way he hold his guitar I mean if he was perfectionnist this guy would learn how to sing and play is intrument perfectly not talking bout shreddin but just doing a beautiful vibrato and a single bend not what he is doing ! This guy is suppose to be a professionnel like Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Clapton Jimmy is a good rythm guitar but sloppy like no one. He's their because of SRV

  • @QWERTY2106
    @QWERTY2106 11 років тому

    he's good in is style but so sloppy and he can't play other things always the same lick since 30 years. He is not a natural lead guitarist but in the other way he is a good rythm guitar and why after all those years he never learn how to sing perfectly maybe not like Clapton or Buddy but just take lesson on how using correctly his voice ? He is suppose to be a pro ? another signe of is sloppyness ! Lot of good bluesplayer are playing way much better but unfortunately they're bro is not SRV !!!
