It was great to see these brothers step onto the stage for an award at DICE, and getting lots of attention for their crazy game they've worked so hard and so long on. :D
Lovely in depth conversation... there's something to be said about how Bay 12 set out to make a game about telling stories and then the making of the game itself very much contributes to the ongoing story of gaming and game development. Boatmurdered and the poor dwarves being mugged by carp was my first introduction to DF, I remember very fondly seeing those screenshots and trying to unpack what was happening alongside the brilliant narration of SA 'fortress managers'. And then trying myself and losing and having fun :)

I would love if there were chapters in here for different topics. Thanks for the conversation though!
amazing interview, really good questions asked
Awesome interview, can't wait for part 2
14:25 that’s what I’m doing with math for my DF inspired board game! It’s also ASCII, and it uses random algorithms for terrain generation etc…
very few things make me click insta like. Adams bros are on top of that list.
Very interesting! I really wanna see part 2 🥰
Boat murdered sounds like a Dethklok song
Nice one, Trent!
The part where he talks about the multi character movement in pre DF was interesting, considering how CRPGs haven't figured out how to fix that yet.
Listened for an hour and then...no part 2? Huh?
Why not just release both parts at the same time? You've already filmed both and there's no editing that has to be done.
MONEYYYYYYY
Hell yeah washington
