    This looks like a great mat. I kinda wish they would have made the square wells a little larger so the cubes would be able to fit in them to get a little ink in them. That would have made this a definite must have but I can see it would be very useful for alot of other techniques too. Thank you for demonstrating it! You're really good at videos.

    I was interested till you said the ink cubes don't fit. Sadly, that makes it a no for me. 😥

      Right? They could have made them just a tish bigger for a nice cube smoosh. I’d definitely buy this if the squares were just a little bigger. I don’t have reinkers for the Distress cubes. Bummer!

    Being able to press a mini ink or to hold a mini ink cube would have sold me on this product. Many companies have mini ink cubes, which gives me the opportunity to try different colors before I commit to a large pad.

    Thank you. I do appreciate all the advice that you gave us. I kept anticipating that you would use pixie spray on the stencil. Or that you would use some kind of mint tape or something to hold the stencil and or the card stock down. I truly would be interested in knowing about that before I make a purchase. Thank you for your excellent advice.

    great video Simon. I am actually waiting for them to bring out their double sided sticky silicone mat for stenciling. I have an old giant glass cutting board I use for all the ink, or paint work I get into and love it, except that I cannot get any low tack tape to stick. So on my other work area I use large grid paper and found if i just take a half sheet of that, put one strip of temporary tape runner on the back of the panel and tape down the stencil it's great for stenciling. But am looking for a little better idea. Tim Holtz's grip mats cut like Jennifer said with them the same size as you cut the misti sticky mat, Idk what happened there, but I can't use it for anything. I think if I used just one big sheet it would do the same I am looking for SBC's new one to do.

    That was a great review of the silicone mat. But for the life of me I can only think of one reason for the little square indents and that is for paint wells and blending paints, like acrylics and watercolors. I don't know of too many who would use lunar pastes in there except to add water because they would dry too fast and become unusable. And from your demonstration, that's not much of a "hook" to hold a water glass still. I guess it's just OK, but that's just my opinion.

    Do adhesives come off easily?

    • @helenaw9533

      Silicone is heat resistant and non-stick. I've tested all kinds of adhesives including hot glue and E6000 - it all comes off easily.

      Does runner tape come off easily?

    • @harriettezmalloy7182
      @harriettezmalloy7182 2 роки тому +1

      @@carolynwheeler1081 Tale runner comes right off a silicone mat. Just rub your finger over it or use an adhesive eraser & it will kind of roll into a tiny sticky glob. Very easy to deal with on a silicone mat.

    How about dog hair? 🤔 Will this plastic get "electric" and attract dog hair? Dog hair is very easy to wipe off the glass mat, but how about this, that has that rubbery grip?

    • @debhalld9794

      Stuff, even hair, will come right off silicone with just a mist of water and a rag, or with a baby wipe👍

    I have been wanting to know when you are going to come out with a silver, not glitter, just silver lunar paste. I just bought all the others I wanted today and saw it still isn't there. I had commented on it long ago, and I know it wasn't going to be done just for me, but. I do want to say that as a whole, the entire card and even nail industry is great at coming out with fab colors in golds or gold shimmer or gold flecks, or gold everything, but there are alot of us out here that are not gold lovers and prefer a silver. Especially see the difference in powders. Everything that has any shimmer, it's gold. So, I really am begging for you to add a nice silver to your lunar paste. When you are ink blending, just for one example, with cool colors, gold is a warm and it's great to off set that color scheme, but better to keep it cool tones which would be.... yep! silver. Is this something you have planned on doing and have begun yet? I've been dying to know. A white also would be great, but the silver is a multi craft problem. I really hope you understand that gap and fill it with those wonderful pastes that I just ordered. thanks for reading my comment and I hope you really reflect on it. (I hope you read it)

      Hi Denise! We definitely have something planned, but it takes a while for a product to come to fruition. Something will be out to fill this gap by the end of 2022 for sure. :)

      @@simon.hurley So good to hear! I'm just curious, have you noticed the "slanted percentages", I'll call it, of gold opposed to silver across the card industry? I was hoping it wasn't just me. LOL
