That was quick work removing that big stump. I just removed my first stumps this week and it definitely is a learning process. It took me about 45 minutes my first stump.
The bxpanded backhoe Ripper is worth every penny. When it cuts through the roots it only leaves a small cut in the ground. You don’t have to remove all of the dirt. The Ripper makes it so you don’t have to fill in such big holes. It is a great attachment for a little John Deere tractor.
good work. ive been trying to decide between getting a backhoe thumb and 3rd hydraulic with grapple addon for the bucket, that i saw on tractor mikes page. price difference is big but seeing you pull this large sump i think the grapple wins so will be saving for that plus it can double up for collecting brush
Great video . Yea you could have used a stump grinder but you have to go get it and bring it back . Plus you have to pay the rental fee .Using your backhoe might take a bit longer but at least you get to use it . The more you use it the better you get using it . After all what's a backhoe for but to dig . LOL Take care .
Added three finger grapple with third function valve on compact tractor. WOW, NICE addition to tractor. Wanted a back hoe for tractor. Ended up with Kubota K008-3 mini excavator.
You allowing those tress to split up the center like that is very dangerous especially on a big tree Either up up the throttle all the way and chop through quickly for a clean cut or notch first then cut...
Engine RPM sounds very slow and the apparent power at the bucket seems to verify that. Why are you not running at or near the rated HP RPM? Nice video thank you for sharing your experience.
fcruabbly I keep the backhoe on most of the time, that’s what I consider my ballast to offset working with the loader. I have 5 other implements for the 3pt hitch and so occasionally I have to swap them out with the backhoe.
Thank you! I assumed the backhoe would be the ideal ballast for the FEL and the BC4200 Brush Crusher. Plus, the backhoe, for us, is THE implement that we will use the most. We have seemingly infinite reasons to dig.

I'm sure those guys where thrilled to come watch you play on your toy tractor - haha!
Appreciate and enjoyed the video, was looking for some real folks using subcompact with backhoe, looks pretty useful!
Thanks for sharing, always enjoy your videos

It's easier to dig them out if you leave the tree hole . You use the tree trunk and branches for leverage
Watch "Andrew Camarata" on YT. That's the way he does it.

Hey Henry, I definitely got a lot better after putting in the culvert pipe. Glad I got it!

Nice video. I don’t understand people watching and then making a negative comment. Maybe just go somewhere else. Don’t let it discourage you

i like the video but you should watch some videos on how to cut trees.

What size bucket did you use for this stump dig out? Is there a one-size-does-it-all bucket that mates well with the 1025R hydraulics? Thanks!
There are 3 sizes of bucket available from Deere on the 1-series 260 backhoe attachment, 8″ (2 teeth); 12″ (3 teeth) 16″ (4 teeth). I have the 12"
Thank you! I will go with the 12" seeing how effective it was in your demo. BTW, do you leave the backhoe on your tractor all the time?

How much does that jd weigh?
Around 2600lbs with the loader and backhoe attached.
16 min 👍
So start digging and two strong dudes come out and help you for FREE? Ok. I’m going to start digging.
gotta rev that up a bit more itll be faster cycle times
12:03. Even UA-cam stars have to pee. 🤷🏼♂️
Vetter I thought the same thing
That thing looks pretty weak for those tasks.
More power than you think, I've used mine and dug basement out, stumps, just got to take smaller bites
