Now that is HOT! They are really good live, especially because a lot of their songs involves singing really high notes, and he hits all of them spot on!
I have never heard of this song or band until my sis told me about it. Thanks sis! lol, nice song and I love the accent. this song sounds beautiful both with electric guitars as acoustic :)
simtech113... the chap on the piano is Sam Swallow. Although not strictly a member of the Hoosiers he regularly plays live with the band and does indeed sport a Spiderman outfit.
Hi, amazing version. The album version is really powerfull but this one is so beautiful, it gives me the wish to record it in my covers soon in my youtube. Thanks to you for this great video.
and they say, the future is out to get you, know that I won't you fall.... the future is always out to get me....in the end it was time that killed my relationship with my GF; she was always busy, and in time decided that she didn't really want to be with me anymore...our relationship WAS a story book romance (believe me IT WAS), but reality has a way of ruining things....this song reminds me of the feeling I had for her (and still have a bit of). 1:40 brings up the scene of lovers dancing
+Ryan Smith sigh... you guys know nothing (atleast, it seems that way) Irwin Sparkes, Ben Stiller, Daniel Day Lewis and Henry Winkler are the same person but since he travels in time sometimes he is old some younger *Obvs im kidding.... (i think.... D:!)
Saw the dutch "3voor12 in sessie" from them Was so great! really was even more accoustic in a way XD Sounds strange i think but they were awesome! JEAH!
Are they very popular in Europe? As an American fan, not many people know of them in my hometown, and I'm curious as to whether or not this is just UK being awesome, and EVERYONE like the Hoosiers, or if they're relatively indie-esque.
I was about to comment about how awesome this version is, but then I noticed it was uploaded in 2009. causing l Causing me to freak out that this video, and the comments, are little time capsules documenting what was happening 8 years ago. And if UA-cam allowed me to reply to those comments, I'd be talking to the past. Just me freaking out about that? Okay then. I'll shut up now.
he's their "sound engineer" (the guy who edits their music) unfortunately dun remember his name, but I'm pretty sure wikipedia mentions it.....he's also famous for wearing a spiderman shirt during concerts and some recordings.
This actually sounds quite sad. The original with guitars sound happy though. It's a bit Snow Patrol's Run the original is fast and upbeat and sounds happy but the live classical version of Run Snow Patrol did at the union chapel sounds sad
before I heard this band I thought high-voices were lame and would take the seriousness out of an emotionally intense song. These guys proved that wrong
@foxjudo Totally agree. I love it when a band or artist is competent enough to strip down a song and render it with a totally different sound or meaning. Case in point; Ryan Adams with Wonderwall. IMO better than the original.
Great version.........but more than anything else it has reminded me of just how beautiful an instrument the piano is.........and how "real musicians" can handle a song.
hmm the music sounds too slow for Irwin in the beginning.. That's a fast music and the synthe makes it slow but Irwin adapts himself so well! He's a pro! Love you! mouah!
@foxjudo Yeah, especially when they're responsible for their own backing :P as oppose to a lot of modern stuff. I was quite surprised at Lady Gaga's acoustic stuff, I'm actually persuaded she's a real musician :) check it out.
"Ray is Alphonso's middle name. The song is about when they went to America, and weren't sure as to what was to become of them." pff stop saying bullshit, they say who's Ray at the end of the Official clip... just paye attention, it's just a movie maker..
He's got amazing control of his voice.
remember me to freddie mercury voice
This guys need to come to the US. SERIOUSLY.
Siiighhh. It's sucks, being the only one knowing abt these awesome guys. *sob*
Now that is HOT! They are really good live, especially because a lot of their songs involves singing really high notes, and he hits all of them spot on!
How did i miss this version for so many years ?
This is magnificent...
I saw them at Lille, yesterday, in live.
Before James blunt.
And they were incredible.
I love themmmm so much.
Nice band, nice song.
this starts like Big big girl in a big big world...and then gets SO MUCH BETTER
I have never heard of this song or band until my sis told me about it. Thanks sis! lol, nice song and I love the accent. this song sounds beautiful both with electric guitars as acoustic :)
TRUTH, it´s sick this :D
Usually I don't like the slow live versions of songs but I like this version just as much as the single. Amazing song.

and they say,

the future is always out to get me....in the end it was time that killed my relationship with my GF; she was always busy, and in time decided that she didn't really want to be with me anymore...our relationship WAS a story book romance (believe me IT WAS), but reality has a way of ruining things....this song reminds me of the feeling I had for her (and still have a bit of). 1:40 brings up the scene of lovers dancing

irwins really getting into it at the end =D
They're pretty mainstream here in the UK.
he's their "sound engineer" (the guy who edits their music) unfortunately dun remember his name, but I'm pretty sure wikipedia mentions it.....he's also famous for wearing a spiderman shirt during concerts and some recordings.

Quarintine gang, where u at?
Hello, how have you been?
correction: great album!
The drummer's middle name is Raymond, so they're actually worried about themselves :)
Wauw
before I heard this band I thought high-voices were lame and would take the seriousness out of an emotionally intense song. These guys proved that wrong
I actually agree with the resemblance to Ben Stiller
@totowav His voice...He got too much emotion. He's an amazing singer I love it.
just wanted to make sure that nobody learns a wrong grammar :)
@Zape00 Good point! Lucky them!
I think it doesn't matter, the fact that nobody knows who ray is, makes it all quite funny :)
@MaxWa
Already have...........the girl is WAY MORE talented than people are prepared to give her credit for!
@foxjudo Totally agree. I love it when a band or artist is competent enough to strip down a song and render it with a totally different sound or meaning.

2020?
Sorry but. Irwin doesn´t say at the end of the song...
"I´m so tired" being worried about Ray..
doesn´t it?
that's sam swallow.
Wish someone could share the piano sheets
hmm the music sounds too slow for Irwin in the beginning.. That's a fast music and the synthe makes it slow but Irwin adapts himself so well! He's a pro! Love you! mouah!

C'était ironique ou pas ? xD
Moi franchement j'étais bien contente que se soit eux en première partie =]
Bisous !
@foxjudo
Yeah, especially when they're responsible for their own backing :P as oppose to a lot of modern stuff.

14 people are extremely worried about ray.
15 persons don`t worry about ray
