Hey buddy, hope you are having a great weekend. Had a question, now that I am getting a bit further in my Kraton 6S EXB build. I have pretty much all of the M2C Beefcake stuff installed. The issue I am having or question I have is, is there a reason that the body does not line up with the body posts now? Like the front seem ok, but the rears do not seem to fit. It seems like it is to short and also the body posts are further apart. I do not know if it is the Rear Shock Tower Brace causing an issue with the length and the downward angle is what is causing the body to not seat properly length wise. But then also one of the holes is like 1/2" off when I line up one of the holes. So not sure what is going on but I thought that does not seem right at all. So just asking because I am not sure why it is like that and dont want to go cutting body with another hole for no reason. Also considering the spacing would be that it would make the body post hole 2x as big since there is not enough room to make it its own hole.
I have no idea bro, M2C makes there stuff to match within such small margins it's not perceivable. 1/2 an inch is a TON!! Better off asking this on M2C Facebook group because you can post pictures and fully explain.
@@3SonsRC yeah I was going to email Avery later tonight as well. Just figured I would check with you. Since I assumed it has to be something I am doing not really M2C. So just reaching out to check since I am like 90% sure it is an error on my end.
Yes I used the M2C diff cups. Shimming the diff has nothing to do with used the M2C cups or not, has to do with the tolerance of the diff inside the bulkhead so typically I tend to shim them depending upon how tight the diff sits inside the bulkhead for example an HR bulkhead which is aluminum might need one or two shims and sometimes an Arrma one Tolerance is might be almost perfect might only need one shim, just kind of depends, hope that helps
Hey there, Hope ur good. Today I got my last m2c part ( outdrives) I installed every part A - Z m2c has for the 1/8 exb. I just wanted to say thx for all your help and videos . They really helped alot. Now Im planning my next build project . I just cant decide between 6s and 8s. Whats ur opinion , is 8s more better / fun / exciting ? Peace buddy !
Really appreciate the kind support there brother! So happy my videos helped you out! Gosh, great question. 6s vs 8s, build, which one? So different... Different tools I call it. So if you have more Space to run 8s and all you have is 6s, maybe it's time to branch out and get a 8s....if that's the case get O8S or K8S kit and the chassis and moror mount off the bat, then think about Hinge pin kits, watch for a Shock Solution about to be tested😱😎😜.... I love my Outcast 8s, it's full M2C Beefcake 800kv Max5 beast so at that point its completely tank but that's some money. But at least Chassis to start and go from there. If going 6s and you already have a few there are 1/8 scale hybrid options that are really interesting Like Kraton XL, and Truggified Typhon etc, that really mix things up. If you use Jenny's and Aftermarket you can save some but it's not cheap to do that, cheaper than buying a full kit AND THEN upgrading Beefcake.... Can save a bit and be tank from the start. But if you have no 8s get the Kraton EXB or Outcast and get a chassis, depends on Your style...you like flips and Stunts get the O8S, want stability and speed get a K8S, I think the Outcast is more. My style and it's plenty stable for me. Don't know if that helps Rock on brother
@@3SonsRC Great info here. I have the Kraton 8S EXB roller with a Castle XLX2 and 800kV 8mm motor on the way for it. I’m curious why you recommend the motor mount right off the bat. Any info on weak points for the stock motor mount and what the risks of running it are? Can the stock mount even be used with the Castle 800kV motor? Also, I’ve yet to find a list of side effects for the stock chassis bending. From what I’ve seen and can tell with my chassis, it appears the front middle portion of the chassis between the front A-Arms is what bends. Aside from metal bending being a general bad thing, what are the negative impacts of continuing to run the stock chassis after it bends in that area? I imagine potentially suspension geometry issues but I haven’t experienced any negative suspension side effects from what I can tell.
@@Critical-Defense Thanks for the kind support there brother. The motor mount is reccomend for M2C 8s combo because the stock motor mount is not compatable because of the way the chassis bracing is set up, the tolerances in the stock mount just don't work, some have dremeled things to get it to work but it's better to get both off the bat, I know that's more $¥ but it was the only way Mitch and M2C could do it because of the fact Arrma just bends the groves in the chassis while M2C uses thicker stronger mental with braces making the mount be a few millimeters off here and there. Hope that helps. In my experience the stock Arrma chassis on the Kraton 8s especially (and Outcast 8s) bend in all sorts or places based on where you impact, screwing up steering, throwing you funny off jumps, all sorts of strange things start happening including messing up engine mesh, shafts, chassis effects everything. But for sure bash it till you bend it brother. But if you start bending it, it's more hastle to rebend a chassis and put it back together ONCE than it is just to install a M2C ONCE then you don't have to worry about bending it again. Fix it once and done. But if you haven't bent it yet brother just bash and have fun. But the M2C Upgrades just inspire so much confidence. If you start with one of the 8s EXB's that a better spot, but so many upgrades needed to make the RTR 8s Rigs tough.... IMHO, but everyone has there level of bashing and risk involved.... If not not killing stuff just bash on bro! Hope your enjoying the channel brother, see ya round
@@3SonsRC I appreciate the reply! So I ended up really bending my Kraton EXB 8S chassis recently and it pushed the front diff up so there was a gap between it and the chassis. So dirt started to get in there and that’s when I noticed it. I’ve already got most of the M2C stuff on it but was dragging my feet on the chassis and motor mount until I bent the current one. I ordered the chassis and motor mount from M2C earlier this week and it’ll be here Monday. I’m super excited 😆

Don't know if that helps
Rock on brother
@@3SonsRC Thank you. Your reply helps alot. Im really leaning towards the 1/5 exb.
Thx for all the tips.
Keep on ripping!
Peace bro 😎
Hi lol
Thanks,
Hope you stay and enjoy others.... Especially check the Bashing videos... We Send them RC's to the moon!
Thanks for your time
Your dad the micro machines guy?

@@3SonsRC very informative videos keep it up
@@jno1990 appreciate that bro, glad you enjoyed
See ya round
you need to slow down while talking.
Yeah bro, I got ya, it's sorted out in newer videos
dude your talking is like after a radio commercial the annoying fast talking. it takes away from the value of listening to what you have to say you need to slow down fam.
Yup, addressed this in newer videos, for a few videos I was trying it sped up to not loose people's interest.
@@3SonsRC yea that had the reverse effect. People were probably dipping out bc they can't keep up with the radio chatter.
@@spdking I actually have received by far mostly positive feedback, I have made the adjustments, this is not the action packed video that holds attention well, just wanted to put it out as a resource, it's already 22 minutes and didn't want it to be 32 minutes.... But I hear ya, most can look past the speed and see the value, I understand if some can't and regardless I have backed off the speed "Mostly" 🤣🤣
@@3SonsRC bong rips from now on out
@@spdking 🤣🤣 Na bro I'm too old for that.... Been Straight edge my whole life brotha, but more power to ya
Coud you speak faster, please? Way too slow
Working on it brother 😊😂😂
Actually just trying to get more info in shorter time but I TRY for it to still be understood.... 🤔😔
Though somtimes I know it may sound clear to me but not to y'all because I already know what I said.
