My condo is being built now, and indeed the delays has started on the 4th day of the construction, because Mother Nature has a suddenly decided pay a visit with a snowstorm right in the middle of April. But I discovered two other house furniture stores I never knew they existed before. I won't deny I found everything so overwhelming for all the tiny detailed decisions that has to be done for things that are going to be hidden behind a wall at the end. At a point, I started believing that doing vectorial calculus is a thousand times easier than planning the functionality of your future home. I ran your video three times already and my notebook for the house planning just got messier. But I'll take a huge breath and return back to watch it again later. Because as overwhelming everything is, you made me realize the importance to do them properly so that I can properly thank Mother Nature later of her sudden late visit. Thank you for teaching how how to appreciate the hidden beauty behind the delays of the construction process.

Hi Liz, In April wse finished a 4' x 7' powder room, generous for sure and large enough for a wheelchair. Fast forward to July, I'm the one needing to use a walker for a few weeks. This too shall pass. From the start of the project everything was in house before the work began, notwithstanding changing the marble tile from honed to polished a week before work began. The savings was substantial, $1200.00, the vanity came in destroyed from Amazon, that went back, but the second on came with a damage on the back side but hidden behind a drawer, they refunded me $500.00 so it worked for me. The gold tone Moen wall mount faucet and the Asian theme all came together. On to the next project, the main bath, truly a death trap for me with the walker...LOL. I can't wait ! Mark & Scott

Really GREAT advice! And you're so funny, too! 🤣 Wow, thanks for the Canva information... I didn’t know anything about that! I definitely need to check that out. Maybe it will help with my disorganization problem.
I think a lot of us women need to get over being afraid of being seen as a "witch with a 'b'" as my grandma used to say, because some contractors would take advantage of that unfortunately. Be respectful, but you're right, the squeaky wheel DOES get the oil, so we need to squeak sometimes, and people are much less likely to lie to you in written form, like email.

You are my new favorite follow! Euro trash oven! Haha, I have cut that off my must have list myself! They are so impractical. Your advice is so valuable and I can see the wisdom you have in this area. Do you have a list of those details you listed off somewhere; tile position, grout space, etc. that would be so helpful! I don’t know what I don’t know yet. Thanks for outlining how to get started and organize this process.

This was SO helpful! I'm having an ADU built right now, and after that will come the home remodel. Yes, delays -- first, Mother Nature decided to send a series of storms through the area. It finally cleared up and we have beautiful weather -- just in time for my contractor to have a heart attack and emergency surgery. So yeah, there have been delays, and we haven't even started the house yet! Liz, I'd love for you to be able to take a look at my home design. It's very small compared to a lot of these dream homes you look at it, but I think even a small home can be made more functional. Please let me know if that's possible and if so, how I sign up.
