I’ve had a 2GB non-Bluetooth Sansa Clip for over a decade. Well worth it. Still works. 14hr+ battery. Apple Nano died after a couple years.
The beauty of non Apple mp3 players is that you don’t need iTunes, just drag and drop 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I've had this player for years. Tried 3 other brands and came back to this one....I'm a carpenter
and it is so handy. Had some issues syncing bluetooth to my car radio but it might be the car's problem. I agree with everything you said about this.
bought a sandisk today but i dont no how to put music on it yet, i would like to put some music on it from youtube if any body can help
@@rickymorris6694 Ok Ricky,...
1) Charge the unit fully.
2) What ever program you're using to gather music and create playlists must be ready
to open. iTunes, Spotify, etc.
3) Plug the Sandisk in your computer. It may take a moment but it will show on your
screen or in your download folder as a new memory disk or device.
4) Open your music program and highlight/select your playlist. Then drag and drop to icon
if on your desktop screen or to the file as it is shown in your downloads.
5) Click on that icon or file after it has finished loading. Usually takes less than minute but
depends on size.
6) When you click on the Sandisk file , a list will open. You can then drag and drop your
music file into the music folder or any folder you'd like to create. This folder will be on
that same list. A tone will sound when any of these operations are complete.
7) Close out the program from which you got the music file as well as the Sandisk file.
8) Eject the Sandisk by right clicking and using the eject command which will appear.
It is ok to force eject if it tells you its busy, I do this a lot to speed it up.
9) disconnect the Sandisk from the computer. Press and hold the main button until the
screen begins to wake up, Press again for the folders, press downward arrow for folder
list, press music or playlists if you have more than one, press again to begin listening.
* Sounds like a lot, but it pretty quick and intuitive. I use a mac, so might be some
different steps. I like to install podcasts after loading them on iTunes. Adding songs to
playlists is simple. Enjoy!
@@rickymorris6694 One other thing Ricky, Could be wrong but I don't think it is possible to
download music from YT or anywhere without purchasing it first. If you find a way
to do so, I'd like to know about it....
Does it have memory card support
It has no memory card slot and can only record digital that is formatted for MP3. A separate card reader would/could solve this easily. They're not
too pricey online. I just download from the reader to my music program on my Mac, where it is simple to change format to mp3. Then download it to my sport. If the format isn't right you'll get a message screen on the sport.@@dinozaurpickupline4221
I have one and always suggest it to people. You can't go wrong with it. The file space and bluetooth alone are the best features. I have 1453 songs on it, mostly high quality MP3's done at 320kbps, and still have about 1 and a half gigs worth the space still left. The F.M. player is nice but honestly have yet to use it. Best bang for your bucks!!
May I ask where you get your music for downloads, aside from cds and does it work okay with windows 10?
@@t.terrell7037 All my music is from CD's, Im a huge Audiophille so i insist on the best i can get sound wise. I don't know if windows 10 has issue (I personally use Linux Debian XFCE) but i would think there wouldn't be an issue, even im my computer it shows up like a generic thumb drive. I still have mine, i'll rock that lil blue player till she can't rock out anymore. Totally worth every penny spent.
One of the most useful functions of my now deceased Sansa Clip+ that was clipped onto a shirt that went into the washing machine, was the recording function where I could have it clipped to the inside of a pocket and record a seminar or meeting with never a case of inaudible sound.
I agree 100%. I have used these SanDisk Clip Sports MP3 players for years. I have my entire music collection on a 32 gig micro SD card. Works great with Koss Porta Pro headphones. Every now and then you have to reset the device - google the easy way to do this.
i have a clip sport, using it over 10 yrs and it's still going strong. i like the slot for the microSD card and the battery is still good. only thing is the clip on the back broke off, but it's not stopping me from using it. great product.
Can you add lyrics to the songs and read them on that tiny little screen?
You may be right about that music player being good, uncle. There's this audio guy, an electrical engineer who's very into this stuff. He got criticized by haters for saying that it's objectively better than other, more expensive brands but it turns out, he was right. All he did was measure the damn thing using some tool, reported his findings, and got hated for it. Kinda like you,eh?😆You have a gem of a music player right there.
Great explanation. 1) how many seconds does it advance forwards/backwards within a track? 2) Does it show the filename of file_name.mp3 of home-made recordings? Will it be read? Also 3) How do you do playlists?
If it is mp3 the Sansa clip will play it. File names are displayed scrolling across the screen although it uses the internal MP3 description tag before using the filename. Everything within in a directory can be a playlist that can play in random or in the order they were uploaded. Unfortunately you may not want that behaviour with audiobooks and I found that it is sensitive that files being named exactly as in [audio-file]-01.mp3 etc.
I love my 6th Generation iPod Classic with 160 GB (filled to the brim ) of music that I have connected to my car stereo and put on Radom.
Shame on Apple for having stopped making the iPod Classic. If it ever dies, I will look into buying something like a FiiO M7 Digital Audio Player.
I have a older one with FM and what I Like to Do When you Fly From say Georgia to California you can Actually Pull in Radio Stations the only time I like to listen to Commercials and see what's going on in other states if only for about 5 minutes ...
Nothing beats the iriver h320 from 16 years ago so I've been ordering busted ones and repairing them just so i have something good to run with, unlike the junk ipods, which have no tactile response. When you're running and switching between songs, you need to have firm buttons, not some slick screen that you're supposed to feel your way around while pumping your arms soaked in sweat. This looks like it has that feature. The iriver had fm and a record feature, too. Apple never came close. And there's a Chinese X5, whoever makes it, that's full of flaws and un-thought-out features that makes it too infuriating to use also. Anywho. Maybe this thing is as good as the iriver was.
In regards to the so called JUNK iPods I was still using my Classic iPod 80 gig since 2008 with only two battery changes I listened to 625 Audible books till Microsoft decided they wanted a cut of the money, now I can't use my GREAT iPods as they will not work with the New Audible Application...
Do you know if it works together with wireless earbuds like Raycon or Jabra Elite 7 Pro?
i dunno
My Clip. Sport P!us goes right to the Volume window and goes to 0 and will not play any music now. I tried to Reset and Restore with no results... I am pissed..
Mine just won't power up and when I connect to the computer it just says charging but won't charge. 5 months old...
Funny was just looking at these since i ditched my smart tracking device a couple of months ago. Many thks.
If you’re on UA-cam you’re getting tracked google owns UA-cam and google owns satellites so I’d say we’re bolth fucked as is the majority of the population
Can I import my iTunes playlist into this player.
Joanna Newsom plays harp music.
This is NOT a place to learn how use your SanDisk. Just sayin'.
How did you do a moving wallpaper.
The Sansa Clip + has a fantastic DAC
Hello, I'm looking for a great quality sound mp3, I have an old sandisk Sansa and the sound was bad, what do you think about this sound quality one?
@@lordferdinand85 This little guy is quite sought after by audiophiles. I find the sound to be good but I dont have a lot of experience with these kinds of players. I own two of these little guys. Get the Clip+ ... the exact same one in video. They had newer similiar models but have downgraded sound.
@@qpwoeiruty850 thank you
Is it possible to use earbud wire for fm antenna (only for antenna purpose ) but actually use a Bluetooth speaker to actually hear the radio ?
Good question
Anybody gets answer for this i work in a kitchen and would like to use a radio without any kinda wires in the way.. or even if it can work with Bluetooth speaker Via aux cable
@@berniemackattack86 I bought the version without bluetooth so cannot help you, great little mp3/flac and radio player though.
Thanks for simple, honest and great review I hope it has a 3.5mm audio cable?
actually used the term sheeple to describe other humans in complex human activities.
jesus.
Thx. Was unaware of it. Harp and Lute music doesn't rock, but does :-)
Great video. Here is my question. If you pause a track in the middle and switch it off (or it switches itself off by itself), does it resume the track from same place where I left it or will it start from the beginning.
it will resume where you left it :)
Will it play Apple lossless files (alac)?
Question: is the volume sufficient? I like my ears to bleed so....
Any recommendations for a matching Bluetooth headphones set?
There’s some really good deep metal. Out there. Check out a band called Sleep. I’m also super into the Cocteau Twins, and Brian Eno.
I have a Sandisk Clip Sport for over 7 years the clip broke but the player still works great! I bought the Clip Sport Plus for the blue tooth and double the capacity. Do you know if the Clip Sport Plus WILL connect to a Jabra elite active 75T earbuds please? Thank you!
You can replace the batteries on the nano. They make kits on eBay. I like that this mp3 has the FM TOO.
Silly question perhaps but if you want to add music that’s not already saved somewhere on a computer where do you go to get music that is safe to download? I used to use Napster, rhapsody and iTunes but I don’t want the hassle of Apple right now. Thanks
soulseek
What do you listen too in the Classical music realm? Beethoven, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, Oisipovich,.....Dean Martin? Lol
My father was an avid Classical music and Operatic listener. I'm not avid, but appreciate the music and it's values.
Will it work plugged into power? Looking for a cheap solution for some lobby music
Does it have touch protection? The older ones are awesome but don't have and is sensitive. Have one for almost 15-20 years? Works like bought yesterday and dropped it many times. Best buy.
1. Will this connect with all the latest bluetooth-headsets/earbuds? It will work with Jaybird Vista earbuds?
2. Is there any lock-button that makes sure you don't hit any button accidentally during the workout?
I have the non bt version and I think you have to hold the menu button and it’ll lock
How do you connect the device through Bluetooth devices?
I'm from Chicago. I can't plug up my ears. I need to know who or what is lurking behind me. 😳
I feel dat
Out in LA skidd row. Leimert park and WATTS Be the same . Shit ain't safe
Hello - can you UPGRADE the m e m o r y ? to increase the song quantity.
Bubblegum..... Goth music. Huh.... sounds oxymoronic. Now I've heard everything. Lol
I feel like if there’s some one that can help me, its you. I have a second hand nikon d500 and ive been having multiple error messages, from mirror half way up preventing shots from being taken with a battery grip, to when i shoot in low f stops like f22 or when i do long exposures and i get a “error job” message with the mirror messed up. I don’t wanna send it to nikon and pay 400$ and be camera less for a while. Please help.
Reminds me of a problem I had with my old F2. Mirror would get caught on an edge of the camera box and stick. I think i used an exacto knife to slice off a tiny bit of material and fixed it
Check your battery charge, and make sure you use genuine Nikon batteries. The charge will diminish if you leave the camera on - so check this before putting it away.
Check the battery charge. See my comment below (I put it in the wrong place).
Can I connect this to my car via the Bluetooth ?
Does it play .m4a files?
Specs say: "Audio Formats: WMA, AAC, MP3, WAV, FLAC"
But an Amazon review says it does play m4a files in fact but only if they are less than 15 mins..?
.m4a = AAC
You say "actually" a lot sheeple
my old ones could record off the radio, however I understand they are no longer made to do that, so I need to know how to put music on this, there are no instructions with it, thought maybe you would tell me...
Which model is this ?
love the vid! i have a problem that i dont know how to fix tho.. when i plug the mp3 to my computer even at fully charged, all it says is "charging". it wont even connect or anything even its fully charged. do u know how to fix it? ive been looking for a while on how to fix it.
I think the dislikes are MAC haters.
Hey Ken what are your thoughts on 4D spacetime as opposed to space-time?
Is it possible to rotate an object on an axis that exists in the fourth dimension(Time)?
no such thing as "spacetime"
@@KenTheoriaApophasis
A 🍪 for your thoughts.
What's your general understanding of time?
When playing a podcast (or music), does the screen have a timer that shows where you are timewise in a given program or piece of music? Or, is it just a bar, showing an approximate position of where you are, without a numerical counter?
In the Clip Sport Plus when playing the podcast there is a horizontal line with a dot marking your location, below which is the minute and second. At the right is the total time of the podcast. There isn't a way to fast forward or reverse through the podcast. Pressing the forward or backward button moves you to another podcast. When you open a podcast that you have listened to it will ask if you want to resume where you stopped or start from the beginning.
@@kennethwdc Thank you, that's helpful. I currently use the Clip Sport (without a "Go" or "Plus" at the end), which was the previous generation to the current players. In many ways, it is a more complete product (e.g., having microSD slot) than the current Go or Plus. (The current Jam takes microSD, but has a smaller, non-color screen, has cheaper headphones, etc.)
The reason that I brought up my Clip Sport is that you CAN fast-forward or reverse, by pressing-and-holding-down the fwd or rev buttons. If you just click (and let go) on either, as you said, you'll simply be advanced to the next or previous file. However, if you hold-down the fwd or rev buttons, it advances or reverses through the same file. Perhaps this also would apply to the Go or Plus? (It would be illogical for Sandisk to dispense with this basic capability, it would seem.)
You are right, fast-forward and rewind are described on page 19 of the 2016 manual for the Plus. There is also a picture of the display screen on page 10 that shows the song progress bar. I use this player to listen to foreign language podcasts. The two features that are important to me are rewind, to catch what I didn't understand, and repeat, to learn through rehearing. Repeat is not available within the podcast folder but if I put the podcast in the music folder it is.@@Q.Q.
@@kennethwdc Hey, Kenneth, could you confirm or deny that the Plus has no feature to vary the playback speed (normal, fast, or slow) for podcasts or audiobooks? My previous-gen Clip Sport has this feature (as well as, as far as I can tell from research, the current Clip Jam), which can be set under Settings, then under either Podcasts or Audiobooks. I believe the Plus (and also possibly the Go) do not even have Podcasts or Audiobooks listed under Settings. TIA.
@@Q.Q. I can't vary the playback speed for podcasts and audiobooks on my Plus. The 2016 manual shows audiobook and podcast speed can be changed during playback by selecting Options. The 2018 manual on the Western Digital site drops this mention of speed. My Plus adds bluetooth under playback Options. Under Settings my Plus doesn't list audiobooks or podcasts, nor were they there in the 2016 or 2018 manuals.
How do I permanently delete Audiobook, Podcast and Audible folders?
I picked up the clip jam as the original clip plus is not made anymore 😔
quality control must be gone for these, 2022 here and last two I bought have stopped working after only one week.
This wasn't really a review but just alot of bla bla bla
Does it display the Album Cover Art?
Yes, if the image file is in the album folder.
I have one of those from a few years ago, I loved it but it won't work in win 10

Use a micro SD card to copy your MP3 files, then play the music from the card.

In a word... Garbage ! I'm sorry I bought thing thing.
Neat little device but does not play 24bit/192KHz or 24bit/96KHz files so no use to me
Why this device as opposed to an iPhone?
you must be joking
Theoria Apophasis I’ve always just used my iPhone for media playing. Clearly this device is smaller than an iPhone but is there any other advantage to it or is it all about size matters?!?! 🙄
@@macmij When working out this device is small and will not disturb me like the iphone. The iphone is nice, but getting to big. I have the same player Sandisk Sports Clip for a year and half after the the nano failed on me. I didn't look back because of what it offers compared to the apple nano. It works in the car (which has limited bluetooth capabilites) because of the age. It is not the best device and fills the need nicely. So, the positives is size and battery life. Con - User interface is a bit weird.
@@johnlondon7620 and capacity. iPhone are limited, and if you fill it with music, well, it’s easy to fill up the whole storage capacity!
Can't you play music on your phone?
