i watched several of your videos today and loved every one of them...although my collection is nowhere near yours, i do still have some that i bought in the 60's and 70's (when i used to buy all of them)....'hound dog' was the song that made me become a singer, which i have successfully achieved these past 6 decades....and i still have my original 'elvis' golden records', along with the original 'from elvis in memphis', 'elvis in concert' and a few others from back then...sadly, my entire collection has been sold of bit by bit, but i'm trying to get as many as i can, back now....i look forward to seeing more of your videos...stay well...peace...rocky
Fantastic presentation. Thank you, for sharing with us. I hope you will record individual videos for many o these LPs. I enjoy the LP packaging of the non-domestic releases. One of my friends here in our City was lucky to visit a record store in July 1977, and he was present when the store manager was unpacking the first shipment of the limited, numbered, blue vinyl edition of Moody Blue. He still owned this LP when I met him in 1982. My Mom purchased her copy, 2nd pressing, tan label, of Moody Blue shortly after we lost Elvis in August of 1977. I am glad you like your version of the Elvis Golden Records Volume 4 pressing of 1969 I believe you said. I was 14 years old, about 6 days after we lost Elvis, August 22, 1977 when I purchased Elvis Golden Records Volume 4. It was a 1977 pressing. Watching you look at your collection reminds me of my teenage and young adult as I enjoyed my Elvis LP collection in much the same manner. Best wishes for every success. Cheers From London, Ontario, Canada.
That's a coincidence. I had my birthday just a few days after Elvis died as well. I tend to show a few albums at one time in a video rather than one, as there's often not too much to say about just one LP.
Beautiful collection! Congrats! And far better Quality on cover designs than anywhere else! Thank you for showing this! Really enjoyd it! Cherios from Latvia, Marko
Just discovered your channel. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your collection and knowledge of Japanese vinyl with fellow collectors. I know very little which makes these videos that you do compulsive viewing. Please keep it comin! Truly fascinating stuff! Now I need to go back to the start and check out all your earlier videos!!!!
These are really super interesting. My wife wants to know why I want to go to Japan to shop for Elvis records with you. You should be really proud of such a fine collection. Thanks once again!

Hi my friend, how are you ? great video again, what a fantastic way to start this Thursday :) its like big Christmas present this 40 LPs box :) i really enjoyed this one
Where do you find all of these wonderful Japanese pressings? I have a few. I’m blown away with your Japanese collection. The ones I’ve found have been ebay purchases, and have been quite expensive. Do you think the eBay prices are high or fair? I’m really loving your videos. Great stuff.
Thank you for the kind words. Living in Japan, of course, helps a great dal in getting hold of their records. As for eBay prices, they've come down greatly in recent years so that records that went for thousands now go for hundreds and records that went for hundreds now go for tens of dollars.
Japanese LPs are so clean. The masters they use are hit and miss, mostly hit. But they tend to master most of their music tilted a bit on the bright side. I tend to like UK and German pressings. They sound richer and fuller in my experience. (These are GENERALIZATIONS of course).
@@ElvisPresleyInJapan I have a few Japanese vinyls now .. They really are a class above another .. Really love them...I enjoy watching your channel Cheers 🥂
Maybe it’s just my imagination but some of the earlier albums, the colouring of Elvis’ skin and the black hair almost make him look Japanese? Was this deliberate or is all in my mind?
What a great set of ALBUMS, have all but the ones that were just released there . Are most of Japan releases are they gatefold? Wish the AMERICAN releases were that way. Thanks for another very interesting video, will be waiting for the next one.

Six decades as a singer! That's amazing. Good luck building the collection back up and thank you for the kind words.

You'd need to book a long holiday - it would take a long time to visit all the best shops because they're so far apart. Thanks for watching!

@@Kurtis-Schubert I've been the same since February too.
Great video. My favourites out of that batch have to be On Stage, 68 Comeback and the MSG albums.
Yes, all great albums to listen to and all in exceptional covers. Thanks for watching!
Great video! I need to look on Ebay for some of those Japanese albums.
Thanks a lot. Don't pay too much. Prices are coming down these days.
What a fantastic collection with some great covers there, thanks for sharing, cheers!

Yes, I'm fine thanks. I hope you are too. It was fun to open that box on camera. Like life, it was full of surprises, some good and some not so good.
Daniel thanks ❤.

Thanks a lot. You too. I just filmed a Japanese Camden LP video after watching your vid earlier. Cheers.

I've got a lot of UK pressings, coming from there myself, and I like them a lot. Not many older German records around in Japan, unfortunately.
Great video again can i have the ones you don't want lol
I think they're all gone now 😅 Thanks for watching!
Wow David 👌
I kept a few of those - the ones that I needed - but most have moved on now.

@@paulmogg8036 Great to know. Thanks.
just out of curiousity, what did you pay for this box of 40 LP's because i can imagine this goin into the several hundreds of US dollars!
TBH, I can't remember as it was about a year ago. It didn't cost an arm and a leg because none of them were mint and they didn't come with obis.
@@ElvisPresleyInJapan looked like a good bunch thou! :) Thanks, johnny
I got a lot of these album I didn't know that they had a gate way sleeve
Yes, a lot of the albums had that kind of sleeve in the 1970s. Thanks for watching!
I have Elvis on the LP vinyl.
Do you have a link, where you get all these LP’s?
As far as I remember, they came from a Japanese auction site.
Maybe it’s just my imagination but some of the earlier albums, the colouring of Elvis’ skin and the black hair almost make him look Japanese? Was this deliberate or is all in my mind?
It wouldn't surprise me. I believe they did the same in some European countries and South American countries too.
If you have doubles for sale i would be interested
One time a box like that arrived at my house. Then I woke up.
Sure. Drop me a line at yo_ward_1 at yahoo.co.jp

The first gatefold sleeves were on a few mid-60s albums and then again on the early '70s albums. Thanks for watching!
