This isn't brain surgery, it is human nature to live and protect the country you are born in. NO ONE just arbitrarily wakes up one day and says I'm going to leave my homeland and put myself and children's life at risk and try to get into another country. When people are fleeing their country there is good reason for it. No one is going to hand their child over to complete strangers in hopes that they have safety. For anyone who's been to Mexico ever left their resort and walked the back streets of those towns and see how they actually live? Every human has the right to live their best life. Immigrants do the jobs Americans feel are beneath them. Immigrants keep our grocery bills down. When was the last time any of you were in the fields picking beans. Oranges etc. When is the last time anyone was cleaning hotel rooms , doing the laundry in hotels and hospitals etc. Maybe America should put those on unemployment etc should be put in those jobs for the same salary.

Most Mexican immigrants who are now documented in this country, are against allowing their fellow Mexican immigrants to just pour into the USA...they agreed to jump through the hoops, and feel the system works well in that regard. David loves to throw the "racist" word around, whenever possible. IMO, it is some sort of personality flaw of his, so I just dismiss that word when he shouts it out.

I am an Aussie and lived in California way back in the late 70's for almost a year. I felt at the time Australia was about 20 years behind where the USA was. Please don't hate me for saying this, but I now feel we are 20 years ahead of the USA, here's why, our health system is completely free, you cannot own a gun unless you are a member of a registered gun club, same sex marriage was overwhelming voted for in a national referendum, immigration has the overwhelming approval of the population, we don't care where you come from as long as you want to work, we celebrate the LGBTQ community with their annual Mardis Gras procession, even the police march along side these folk. I could go on but suffice to say most of the population is either Agnostic or Atheist, maybe that has something to do with it. If you arrive in Australia with deep religious views it generally doesn't last long.

Our police are a paragon of respectful restraint when dealing with people who aren't drunk or swearing at them and despite a government RUN by people who hate immigrants we don't hate immigrants. Thank you David for covering Mark Robinson, I'm an NC citizen and have been keeping a close eye on Robinson ever since he made his "I am the majority speech". Yes indeed he is abrasive in his speech and bigoted in his ideology, to understand why he says the things he says with such an unapologetic furver and has gotten to the position he is currently in, you need look no further than the people he surrounds himself with.
Robinson has frequented Berean Baptist Church in NC, pastored by Ron Baity. This is where he made his "cow pie" analogy in reference to homosexuality, with Baity sitting smugly behind him during Robinson's tirade. In fact, almost every time you see Robinson give a public speech, Baity is usually at his side. Baity is no mere pastor, he is one of the most influential religious figures in the political arena in NC.
During the hysteria over the Christian flag being erected at a military memorial in my hometown of King, NC, Baity was at the forefront of it. During the legalization of same sex marriage, Baity was a major voice in opposition of it. During the infamous NC transgender bathroom debate, Baity led the charge against it.
Robinson's sudden rise to power is no accident, it has been a systematic ascension with plenty of bad faith actors playing pivotal roles in it, and Baity has been the "man behind the curtain" pulling the strings and manipulating the coarse of this bigoted man's ascension with near surgical precision.
I'm a member of the LGBTQ community, so I have a vested interest in these sadistic individuals, not only because of their ideologies but because I have been invited( by family who thinks these guys are the bee's knees )to Baity's church on three seperate occasions. On all three occasions, Baity spewed forth vitriolic homophobic rederict from the pulpit, and I'm convinced his rederict is not so much a biblical edict as it is a personal disdain for homosexuals. Either way these bigoted charlatans have way to much power and influence in this state and I for one am pulling back the curtain to show the rot that has festered in their wake.
Keep telling the truth about the ringing political church. Tax the churches that spew hateful politics.

My dad came from Mexico when he was very young. He was a skilled welder, worked very hard his entire life and was payed less than any of the white workers. yet when it came time for the company he worked for for 45 years to pay his pension/retirement- guess what? Nope ! He got capitalized…

The conspiracy to use Poverty as a Policy, used by Democrats and Republicans makes people vulnerable to all types of conspiracies. The Republicans and Democrats brought this on America.
