Kim Davies' party trick gets the compilation treatment today. Which of his machine's pittings is your favourite? And where will Panic Attack finish in Robot Wars The Top 100 Iconic Bots? Find out this Friday at 6pm, when the finale of the series will air!
My personal favorites being Axe Awe's and Tiberius's pittings. The way Panic Attack controls them through the entire battle while carrying them suspended and at the same time moving to press the pit button and reach the verge of the pit... Is just the most graceful spectacle of driving skills and class seen in Robot Wars. Also, Panick Attack vs Axe Awe was the first battle I ever seen❤️🖤 Honorable mention to Edge Hog's: that one is rather funny to watch how they ganged up on the ridiculous harmless axe bot.
It was the most graceful robot back on: it didn't need to cause any damage to the opponents, just lift it and carry it gently in the pit. One of the best and most iconic, Ever. ❤️
Thanks for making this video, Panic Attack was and always will be my favourite robot. Kim Davies was always a great guy and great sport and it was always his driving that demonstrated that winning a fight doesn't always depend on the quality of your robot
I always liked panic attack It was such a good example of simple but effective Like yeah a massive gas powered axe or a spinning buzz saw is scary, but sometimes all you need is a solid fork lift and an excellent driver
Watching this video, it just shows how good Panic Attack were.... especially the Series 5/Extreme version. At 3:46 they used their self-right system to block X-terminators axe. I really wonder how the fight with Terrorhurtz would have gone, if they brought this version to Series 6.
Ah Panic Attack my favorite robot form robot wars the amazing driving from Kim Davies and just the lovely look of the bot + its welsh like me so what's not to love here gg panic attack gg
Not gonna lie, but Panic Attack and Mega Morg's celebrations when they pitted Edge Hog were just so funny, and exactly how I imagine from Welsh men watching rugby
15 pittings is an absolute joke that averages 2 a series which considering they didn’t win two of their heats is even more impressive. It’s made how consistent Kim Davies was managing to pull off insane pittings every time he fought. I think his achievement in series 5 is especially underrated, three pittings in three fights, madness.
So watching this made me wonder if there was a list out there for what robots had the most pittings, and to my surprise I couldn't find one! I think I'm gonna have to do some research on this, I did find a video of every pitting in the classic series so I figure I'll start there. Perhaps a list like this could go on the robot wars wiki...?
I think it's quite hard to find "the most pitted ever" considering that only few robots/veterans lasted for many series enough to get an appreciable number of pits. That said, I would say names of "funny losers" veterans like Diotoir and Morg, and given how long they stayed around, the glorious veterans of Firestorm and Beheemoth as well might be in the list. On the opposite list, I think that Stinger was the only veteran to have never been pit (or get punishment after a count out in generally) as I remind its defeat being mostly tossed out of the arena or floor flipper at most as punishment. Razer also got pitted only once and Pussycat might fit the never pit list as well.
I think Panic Attack would head the list by a long way, since it's main 'weapon' was its ability to put other bots in the pit. Others could win by flipping, or ramming (like Tornado), or damage (spinners and axes), but Panic Attack didn't have those options. It could either win on points (by controlling other bots) or pit them.
@@cr10001 actually, I did try to start on the list a long time ago (gave up after series 3), and matilda was leading by a long shot. Keep in mind that I only counted bots that still had mobility when pitted, ie lost because of the pit. Apparently, matilda being right next to the pit for most of series 2 was a mistake.
I've posed this question in a couple of places, but never got much in the way of answers: I wonder who would win in a fight between Panic Attack and US heavyweight control-bot supreme Biohazard?
Assuming both machines would be in their prime, I don't think Panic Attack could really get under Biohazard with the leverage to tip Biohazard over. The side skirts are such that I don't see how Panic Attack could get a grip on Biohazard either.
Biohazard. Panic Attack could never really self right and wouldn't be able to get under Biohazard much if at all. Even if it did, Biohazard can self right easily.
@@anduril38 I don't think I ever saw Biohazard self-right with its lifter. In fact, at Las Vegas 1999, Biohazard couldn't self-right after being flipped over by Vlad The Impaler.
@@digitaldeathsquid3448 It rarely needed to, 1996 it was the first machine to officially do it. As for that 1999 fight, it had anti-wedge skirts which got fucked by the killsaws and Vlad took advantage. It was an attachment that went badly and they never used that modification again.
Depends on who could get under who first. Biohazard like most BB robots doesn’t have a self righting mechanism whereas panic attack had one that broke any time it was needed.

NJGW i don't think any one can come close to the one against Cassius

There is something so graceful in the way Panic Attack lowers it's opponents down the pit
Yup gotta love Panic Attack’s design and fighting style
Easy on the eyes without being too flashy or too dull
Easily a fan favorite bot

Kim Davies makes pitting a robot a work of art.
These make the win against Cassius look less and less like an upset victory. Kim Davis knew what he was doing.

What an excellent driver.
As effective as possible with as little as possible, efficiency in motion.

So many memories
Absolutely love this bot, incredible for its time, pulled off some stunning wins. It inspired my IGN.
Legendary robot, winner of Series 2.
One of the, if not the greatest driver. And that style, a sensation similar to Complete Control

Wow Panic Attack had huge pushing power in Series 2.
Is Wild Thing's judges decisions next XD?
Panic Attack was my Favourite Robot
1:50 the sheer joy is great
Panic Attack looks like a cute robot, lol.
The best driver of all time

such a great control bot! arguably the first in the UK scene perhaps?
Panic attack was a low shaped bot, with the damn power. It's new form, looks more normal but it lost an edge. Least thats my though.
Maybe you are right. Panic Attack had so much pushing power in Series 2.
but sometimes panic attack goes to the pit

The audio levels on these videos isn't very good I've noticed , some is loud and some is quiet
To be fair, it might be quite difficult to properly balance 15-20 year old clips 😅
The pit is the dumbest arena hazard , all
It does is make the fights more boring and or ends a fight way to soon
No it is fun.
Panic Attack so boring, effective, but yawnnn
