Paul checks out RML Group, the company behind the design of the Saleen S7, the SLR 722 GT and the World's only street legal Aston Martin Vulcan!
Their latest creation, the RML Short Wheelbase, is inspired by the legendary Ferrari 250 SWB, which combines the classic, beautiful Ferrari styling and ample performance with modern creature comforts.
The new RML Shortwheel base will be limited to just 30 units, each with a 5.5L Ferrari V12 engine, producing 478BHP and 568NM of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed, open gated manual gearbox, which together result in a 0-60MPH time of 4.1 seconds and a top speed of over 185MPH!
Is this the ultimate modern take on the Ferrari 250 SWB? Let us know what you think of it in the comments!

Amazing!!!!
Sorry I had to watch it again, anyone got a pile of money they don’t need they can lend me to buy one :D
How much for it though? The most important question
Would love to see cars like this and also classic American tribute cars but built onto an electric 'skateboard' that'll give it a bit of go!
Gorgeous it is. Gives any restomod/reimagined Gullwing and or Eagle E-Type a run for the money.
The wheels look like they are printed on a piece of paper!
It's a clay model, we're afraid!
@@lovecarsTV they modeled paper with clay very well then ;)
@@hagestad ha! Yes the whole thing is clay. But the wheel inserts are card 👍
My gawd that’s beautiful, jaw dropingly beautiful. M3/M4 designers are you paying attention?
😂😂
That's one of the best looking cars I've seen in a while, really love the ground up high-tech restomoddy stuff
I love these modern takes on older design and models. Beautiful!!
I totally agree!
this is so gorgeus, can't wait to see the interior
I need one of these so badly. It's ridiculously gorgeous 😍
Clay models are so cool. Honestly, this may be the prettiest car I've ever seen.
Interesting to see this compared to GTO Engineering’s Squalo at some stage.
It's true!!!
Can a car truly be ART......oh yes indeed. This is a mobile Rembrandt. Well done senor Paul.
And the original looks better by far.
I can't believe that the car was a clay model, looks amazing!
Very nice!! I'm actually surprised Ferrari themselves haven't begun recreating older cars into the modern age, rather then just taking their names of trying to paly on their historic achievement's...
I knew it has to be a clay model after having a look at those spoke wheels.
1Absolutely beautiful. Retained all the right proportions
Would prefer , single tail lights and dual exhausts not quad . But love that front over hang 😍
Love quality continuation cars and remaster cars
The body shape is timeless but I think the tyre needs more sidewall to compliment it.
This is possibly the best overall GT ever built (especially since I’m 6’4”). The beauty of the 250GT SWB, and the know-how of RML. I’d rather have different wheels though.
That's a beauty that will endure right there.
what a beauty ...
What a tease you are, Paul!
Looks amazing that car.
Wow just wow
Glad you like it!
can't wait to see the real thing
It'll be great to see one of the most classic ferrari with new tech updates
Then it won't remain a classic
@@johankhadka7157 until and unless it has that same engine it will remain classic
@@akshatsingh9035 Then it already lost its charm. Even this swb in this video already lost its charm because of the low profile tires
@@johankhadka7157 see in the end they aren't copying it completely ri8? They're just tuning it in their style just like singer do to 911. That's how you distinguish between the real classic car and rebuild. Some people do love the idea of it. Personaly I love singer's 911 very much
@@akshatsingh9035 I like singer but not all of their designa
That looks fit!
beauty, love this car..
I've never wanted anything soooo MUCH!!!
Absolutely GORGEOUS.
Modern hairy-chested super and hyper cars are amazing machines but how many really deserve “cool” status? It’s subjective but very few in my book. This on the other hand is very cool and way more than just another status-symbol. It’s automotive art with inspiration taken from the masters.
Well said!
Wonderful Car All The Best Team.
If you think the exterior is beautiful, the interior is on another level of beauty
At 6'4" I am extremely pleased to learn this stunningly beautiful vehicle will accommodate me when my lottery numbers eventually do come in.
amazing car
very sportly beautiful design
It really is!
Looks Real Enough 👦🏻👍🏻❣🏎🏁
Just perfect
This what I love
that is lovely.
Stunning!
Loving this, look forward to seeing more on this!
Sounds like a 550 Maranello powertrain underneath. I assume it's a bespoke floorpan underneath though. Either way, it looks stunning.
Absolutely gorgeous 🥰
BEAUTIFUL
Beautiful
That is stunning!
real beauty
That's a cool little car.
this is the problem. Original was little. this is/going to be fat cow.
@@hagestad It will be faster, modern and extremely safer. Big win.
Love it ... want one please
Yes please 👍
Beautiful car.
It sure is!
😍 Simply. Stunning. 😍
It really is!
What a beautiful car. Also hats off to the modellers, it looks so real.
We agree!
Looks like a Cobra and Tuscan had a child :)
Beautiful car!
We agree!
Now this would be a car to take on a months long road trip around North America. Of course cost and serviceabilty might be a limiting factor. Can't imagine there would be many mechanics familiar enough with the car to service and repair it when needed.
It's a pleasant daydream for a little while.
It’s so pretty
I want to have one because there is now a possibility to drive a 250 SWB looking car with my 6'6" :-)
I imagine RML and Ferrari would have to have some kind of partnership arrangement for such a build. Surely Ferrari wouldn't let another entity leverage their design at no cost. Having said that - I want one!
Beautiful, but what Ferrari 5.5L V12 is that? The one from the 550 Maranello?
Marvelous
That is gorgeous
I'm in love 😍
Love the 2D cardboard wire wheels!
The vent behind the wheels could have been avoided to make the side profile seamless
looks great, really interesting concept. 550 maranello powertrain?
Gorgeous it is. Gives any restomod/reimagined Gullwing and or Eagle E-Type a run for the money.
Looks mint
We were so lucky to film it!
@@lovecarsTV I have photographed in the RML place, it is spotless, impressive place, where all kind of secret stuff goes on
that thing is gorgeous, will it ever go into production
Yes!
Gorgeous
An impressive car for sure. I always wondered how copying Ferrari's original design so closely remains legal.
I’m in love
A clay model?? Wow
To me it looks like a 1980s facelift, very impressive engine though.
Looks amazing! Absolutely mega....where do I sign up?
You'll need to get in line! 😁
Im confused. Why is this thing inditical too the one from GTO enginering except for the drivetrain?
Cool wheels ^^
Where do I sign up?
Love it
Stunning, but the Windows make it look silly.
It's a clay model, so not as realistic as the real thing! 😁
@@lovecarsTV it's the semi wrap around windscreen.
3:40 just wait until you see 👀 inside!
...
Looks good, doesn't it!
@@lovecarsTV defo thought it was a Rari on first sighting!
The blackout glass makes it look like a model, not an actual running car
how much will it cost?
We will release the price soon, so stay tuned!
How many Bitcoin is it?
Fantastic design - and so close to Pininfarina's original. Do you know how RML protect themselves from Ferrari claiming a breach of their intellectual property? I know that Ferrari didn't do too well trying to protect the 250GTO - with the 5 year 'use it or lose it' clause.
The wheels look weird? Are they cardboard cutouts placed over some other rim?
Yeah, the wheel spokes are just a sticker overlay. Same with the grill and the lights. It's just a proof of concept 1:1 scale model.
1:50 Bruv, them inner rims come off a pc printer?
It all looks promising. However, I didn't catch the price?
It's not confirmed yet, but we expect it to be over £1 million!
@@lovecarsTV that's me out then 😂
@@andyran us too Andy, us too!
Price?
we will be releasing the price soon, so stay tuned!
It's very pretty, but couldn't they afford a set of real alloy wheels for the model?
Ill have one in red with itbs
Fantastic looking BUT disappointed it wasn’t a runner 😔
You're not the only one 😜
I knew something was off when I saw the wheels
What was the wheelbase?
The wheels are stickers?
It's a clay model, not a fully working car just yet! 😁
Wow, only thing I don’t like is the fuel filler, looks like it’s just been stuck there
Stick it in a classic racing livery
Beautiful, gorgeous, stunning, outstanding, etc. The only things I'd change are the brake ducts (from outies to innies), and the wheel/tire package. Voluptuous 1950's and 60's cars just don't look right with modern low-profile tires. EDIT: also I think it would look better if the rear side extractor vent was the same size as the front - it doesn't need to be that small anymore, because it doesn't need to clear the bumper that the original SWB had and is deleted here. And the trailing edges of the wheel arches seem like they might be extended a bit too much at the bottom. I know the original SWB was like that, but only on the front. At the rear it looks a bit out of place, and it also clashes with the vent, IMHO.
Hey, you asked.
Wasn't GTO Engineering up to something similar?
🤷♂️
Love the "2D printed" wheels.
Someday this might turn out to be a really pretty and wonderful car. Come back and show us if and when they build a real one...
How much?
Beautiful car, the rear doesn't look that nice, but otherwise its perfect.
You're out of your mind LOL. That's the best part!
@@zounds13 The side profile is amazing with the slanted roof, but the taillights are so dull, they look like they fell off a land rover defender, but i respect ur opinion
I thought the wheels didn't look right!
765lt vs P1.
I know you're reading this, please make it possible.🙏
