I wanted to thank you for sharing the Mackerel project in UA-cam. It was inspiring to me. I follow up the instructions/guide to create a school of Mackerel fishes using the teaching and process you presented. They came out wonderful. I would like to send you a photo of them, but don't know how through site. Thank you again.
So clever and again so well demonstrated. On a health and safety note. Better to keep masks bagged or boxed. If lying out then glass dust can settle on them on the inner surface and then you will inhale it when using the mask.
I am fairly new to glass fusing and have watched several of your videos. You are a very good teacher. I really enjoy the projects you have chosen to share! I have learned so much from watching!
Thanks for sharing! This is the first one of your videos I’ve ever watched and I’m so impressed! I really learned a lot of new techniques from you 😊 Subscribed!
Powder-Pro, mini sieve, detail tool!! Oh to live in England or the USA where the glass scene is so much bigger than in Australia. Where can I buy these wonderful powder tools online please? My local glass supplier in Sydney has limited stocks for glass making. I never even knew such things existed until I watched your fascinating video. Gorgeous Mackerel fish by the way. I've just subscribed to your You Tube videos so will be watching more to inspire me with my art/obsession. Thank you.🦘🐨😁
Thank you for watching and subscribing Adrienne. Glad to hear we have inspired you and helped too, that's wonderful to hear as that's what we are trying to do with they channel. Try AEE glass in Florida, they ship internationally. You may get stung for import fees upon arrival into Oz, so bare that in mind. I just checked their online shop and it appears they don't appear to have these now. They used to sell them, perhaps they've just removed them, might be worth a contact to ask. The Creative Glass Guild also ship internationally www.creativeglassguild.co.uk/prod/powder-pro-plus-p3-frit-artists-tool-the-amazing-vibra-frit-pen
Can you tell us where to get the powder applicators? Both the one you used for the yellow eye and the one that makes the black lines? Thanks! Nice fish!
Hi, not sure where in the world you are. We're UK based and we can get it from WarmGlass or the Creative Glass Guild to name a few. Google is your friend. Search for Powder Pro Plus P3 and locate a supplier near you wherever you are in the world. Check on the tips you get with it, they used to supply it with three tips, but now it's often just the one and you buy the others as a separate pack. We've done a separate video on how to use the Powder Pro Plus if you've not seen that already, worth checking out. ua-cam.com/video/M245ysottXY/v-deo.html
Your use of powder is amazing! And you really nailed it with your school of mackerel. This is the first project using powder that has truly inspired me, thank you for sharing your techniques. I’m looking forward to the next video.
2:34 Yes, in my 30 years of woodcarving , on rare occasions I find my mind going in high gear how to salvage a mistake and make it appear as though nothing went wrong, LOL! But that is art, even in nature, a growing plant runs into troubles and re arranges the plan, which really is more fascinating than boring perfection! LOL! And I must say that the old time quintessential English have a reputation that as their world appears to be caving in around them, their minds are racing , but outwardly appear quite unflustered, and this temperament has taken the English culture from being found only on one tiny little island ( and a few smaller ones) during the 16th century and earlier , to spreading the language and culture to approximately 2/3rds of the world. But I digress, the fishes could not be better, everything going right.
As Bob Ross used to say in his painting programmes, 'A happy accident'. Sort of sums it up really. We are really pleased with the fish and they are a talking point when anyone comes to visit.
Hi Cathey, not sure where in the world you are. We're UK based and we can get it from WarmGlass or the Creative Glass Guild to name a few. Google is your friend. The item is called a coil actuator fine mesh sifter over here in the UK. I you are USA based then search for JC Line & Dot Sifter with Coil Actuator
Thank you for watching Anthony. If you want to use any bead when firing then it needs to be compatible to the glass you are using, eg COE90 in our case. If you wanted to add the bead after firing and stick it down with adhesive then that would be fine. In that case it can be any type of bead.
Hi Mary They have been difficult to get hold of it appears. They are known as Powder Pro Plus or simply P3, they are made in the states. They were available from Warm Glass and The Creative Glass Guild in the UK. In the USA try AAE Glass in Flordia.
Here's part 2 of your fish project. Do let us know how you are getting on if you are making these too.

@@FiredGlass Yes, very nice. Especially as time passes they will be a remembrance of the time and place, these are the good old days.
Brilliant can you tell me the name of the thing you used for the powder lines
It’s called a Powered Pro Plus. They are like gold dust
what is the vibe and little basket that you rubbed your finger on to get the power out and where do i find one?

Hello I have a question.
Can you use any bead for the for the glass eye.
Thank you

Can you provide a source for you interesting small sifter?
They would have come from either WarmGlass (most likely) or The Creative Glass Guild, both are UK based.
17:12 Cook mackerel at 1250 degrees fahrenheit! LOL!
Got to make sure they are not pink in the middle! LOL.
@@FiredGlass LOL. At 1,200 Degrees Fahrenheit, no danger of that! LOL!
J’habite à Bruxelles où je vais trouver ce matériel si pratique ? Et ses couleurs?
Je ne sais pas où acheter les matériaux. Warm Glass, au Royaume-Uni, ne livre pas en Europe.
How do you get it in the kiln without the powders coming off?
A gentle lift and transfer
your tools where did you get them for the thin lines?
Hi, the PowerPro Plus P3 is the tool. Any good sized fused glass supplier should stock them. Not sure where in the world you are.
Ohio
Where does one purchase a powder gun ?
