Apart from running a bounty-focused deck, I don't think bounty-granting upgrades are going to be that good, except Price on Your Head. Because of that, capture cards are going to be more useful against units with built-in bounties, and I think that that is the point with Discerning Veteran, like capturing Dr. Evazan and readying all five resources used to play the Veteran. I think the units with built-in bounties will be very popular.
But, as you often say, I could be wrong...
Thank you for the videos and love the cards! Fell the Dragon is now my favorite card in the game, but I would've like this card have heroism attached to it. Love the video mate!
I appreciate your videos, and especially the speed at which you can turn a reveal from FFG into a short-- it's helped me stay up to date with all the previews😅
If I can add any thoughts, it's that you seem to be reviewing these cards in a vacuum. Obviously we don't know how they will perform, but stats for cost aren't everything. For example, I can see Incinerator Trooper being fantastic in a Tarkin deck, even with the "poor" stat line. Similarly, Wing Leader probably wasn't the best "on paper" card before release, but now we know it's a staple of many Rebel decks. Given that most of these cards are designed with synergy in mind, I think a good portion of your negative thoughts are only negative because they aren't in the deck that makes them better. Not all cards are winners, but I believe most of these cards will find homes in decks that elevate them from their "poor" stat lines.
Thanks Connor! And I agree, we don’t really know the full story for some of these. I often use the broader cost curve for baseline comparisons, but a card’s ability and synergjes can elevate it above that.
For "Survivor's gauntlet" and "Traitorous": Afaik you can attach traitorous to any of their units. However the effect of gaining control will only trigger on smaller units. Still the card itself does not restrict the target, so you could move it e.g to their Avenger, even if it does nothing.
Good point, I misremembered that! That makes this an even better counter to Traitorous than I thought, pinning this comment!
I feel like they did what they did with the Protector of the Throne is so it’s not targeted when played. Once upgraded, specially with a good upgrade (entrenched) etc, then it gains sentinel with that 5/8 line. It’s like an anti bait thing if that makes sense? A ton of people will skip on attacking it till they have too 🎉
The Kihraxz Heavy Fighter is a decent ECL target if you have another unit to exhaust for the buff.
I think on other “meh” units the keywords could play a role (trooper/bounty hunter etc.)
Remnant Reserve seems sweet. One of the most powerful things you can ever do in a card game is DRAW MORE CARDS. More cards = more things to do, more options, more plays, MORE BETTER. Digging 5 and keeping ANY 3 units, seems good.
I think Sabine Blue is going to get a HUGE boost next set. Sabine Voltron with Mando synergies is gonna be awesome.

Do we know if when a unit is rescued does it comeback exhausted?
Remnent Reserves is an incredible card. The idea of 2 card accel for 4 mana when you have a deck filled with units is pretty incredible.

I want to make a Chirrut capture deck. Grab people then punish them for trying to rescue them with It Binds All Things.
If there are a bunch of cards that allow Chirrut to capture enemies, that could be extremely annoying to deal with!
Clan wren how does it protect against power of the dark side? Maybe I'm tired and it's late but I'm missing it
It gives you a cheap unit that you can easily lose to it without much of a problem, so it makes it very inefficient for the opponent to use it.

Yessir. The days of Blue/Red Sabine are inbound. There is no reason Sabine should be a Mandalorian tbh lol.
