Whatever everybody says it’s a fresh new workflow, good to see something at reasonable price. It’s great because it comes with good sounds, easy to make it you own and just a refreshing approach and design. It’s d not a plane TE copy or rip off. Congrats to Yamaha to make it that complete at launch and first firmware! Other companies could learn from that ❤
Where can I download the Yamaha original demo projects ? I 've delete the original demo project in Seqtrack I ve try to re-install the app, but nothing.
Tried to reset to factory defaults? To restore SEQTRAK settings and data to the factory defaults (initialization), simultaneously Hold down the [SAMPLER] knob and the [UNDO/REDO] button and turn on SEQTRAK. (from the manual)
No, and thats what worries me. I cancelled my preorder a few weeks ago because the more I saw/heard I just wasn’t impressed. Maybe later I’ll try it out.
It's at least 25% to expensive or should at least have a decent display for this price , i feel a certain company will come with something like this half the price and a display
Demos are not necessarily representative of one device's qualities. When it comes to the sound it's factually between the OP-Z and the OP 1. Yamaha's AMW2 sound library is already good(ModX library), Yamaha has nothing to prove when it comes to FM synthesis , sample size and quality is better than OP 1 and OP Z, plenty of good sounding effects and faders to use them...For a 400$ device it's pretty game. Apart from hyping demoes, the specific thing where i'd say TE does have a point is workflow as it's "easy" and quite fun to test some ideas with those devices. By having the OP Z, EP 133 and Seqtrak, the Seqtrak is the one i struggle the most to actually sketch an idea as of now as getting to familiarise with the device takes more time and effort and i admit that TE's device feels more approachable. But when you learn how to use it, you understand how the Seqtrak really punches high up!
There are quite a few really good demos that show how this cute little groovebox can sound in different genres. Holodeck Music Project on UA-cam for example has a demo that consists of 4 different short tracks from different genres, pretty awesome. And El Magicos Making nu disco beat-Video shows what this thing can do.
That’s exactly why I canceled my preorder. I might order later because like the other person said in here, it’s up to the user. But… I have seen this dude make good sounding beats on other gear, so that kind of worries me. I’ve seen a lot of comments on the build quality feeling super cheap too.

The RTD2 sound in the intro tune.

After watching tens of Seqtrak reviews finally found one I was looking for 👏
I agree with you about the app, it is a DAW specific for the Seqtrak. Fresh and well designed. I love my Seqtrak
Wait, can you record multiple audio tracks or not? If so how many? Not simultaneously but for putting together a track.
Whens it going to be in stock?
I hope one day they will implement a bounce audio feature
The Software UI looks like its optimized for touch screen.
dope intro, nice video!
💚

@@Fr4nkju5tFr4nk thank you very eri much, all is ok now, i m a painter but love make some sound, i think this seqtrak is very powerful
It's nice device but there is no fun in it. It's like Roland MC101, nice battery powered device, but have you heard someone is talking about it?

Every demo I heard sounds vanilla and bland. That’s one thing teenage engineering is always going to have on this device

It’s up to you to make it sound the way you want to make it sound. Someone else can say the exact same thing about another product.

Hope they will be launching an XL version with knobs, screens, and RS7000 format.. Maybe I can just can keep on hoping 😅
