How MrBeast's New Strategy Is Beating Youtube (Again)

  • MrBeast might just have found the NEW formula for going viral on UA-cam!
    It's no secret that MrBeast is a UA-cam genius, so when he suddenly changes his UA-cam strategy, it's worth taking notes!
    *** ATTENTION UA-camRS ***
    If you're a UA-camr and are looking to go viral more consistently, coming up with the right video ideas, titles and thumbnails is like 90% of the problem (not even exaggerating).
    But something I've used recently to help ideate for my own channel, and for clients, is a tool called 1of10 (Affiliate): 1of10.com?via=georgexi
    1of10 makes it easy to find outlier videos from other channels, which you can then adapt and make into videos for your channel to get the same results!
    P.S Use the code GEORGE30 to get 30% off :)
    ----------------
    At first glance, his 1 vs $100 million dollar house video might just seem like any other MrBeast upload, but after digging a little deeper, I realised there's more to this than first meets the eye.
    In fact, what if I told you, hidden beneath the surface of this video lies the blueprint for the next generation of viral content.
    But here’s the really interesting thing, it all revolves around a 3-part equation, that MrBeast has been using to beat the UA-cam algorithm ever since!
    If you're looking to grow your own UA-cam channel and get more views, be sure to stick around because there's a lot to learn from how MrBeast makes his content.
    - MUSIC -
    A massive thanks to Blue Wednesday for providing some of the music ('Cereal Kila' & 'New Shoes') in the video.
    Check out there awesome songs on Soundcloud here: / bluewednesday

      His video had an obvious slower pacing than it does before, if you don't notice this, either you don't care at all or just have a really good attention span.
      Jimmy also confirmed that he slowed his video down to focus more on "storytelling" instead of making the video interesting each second.
      Retention Editing is pretty shit so i understand why he did this.
      To answer your second statement:
      Every video that had "MrBeast" on the title are definitely people that want views and go viral.

    He knows what's winning combination, and that's to give your viewers content they want to see. Being a UA-camr is like running business, and business owners give people products/services that people need in their life. It's practically the same. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but consistency and hard work (with a bit of Famester) will always pay off at the end. Good luck to everybody, I really hope you all are going to succeed one day.

      Yes but he also understands something huge a lot of people don’t;
      Lie to your viewers.
      At this point Mr. Beast videos claim to have given out $1.47 billion. Which is laughable BUT people believe it! To me that’s the most interesting takeaway; create a false but sensational narrative and people will believe it.
      People truly believe he gives out a million dollars on a video that makes $100,000 in revenue. And no one questions it. It’s amazing and it blows my mind how easily he convinces people!

      @@mr.doctorcaptain1124 its.. very easily believable though? He get sponsors in each video and the revenue of one sponsor is insane, he is also promoting his own feastable which is basically advertisement fees in the form of winnings from mrbeast contestants. Another thing to note, is that ad revenue from youtube is not just from his main channel, every video he post is gonna get translated and reposted in all his other `translated' channels, meaning even more revenue that you and I cant see unless we dig super deep into each one. I actually bet you that he is probably making alot more money per video over the cost of the video itself.

    • @rikuleinonen
      @rikuleinonen 2 місяці тому

      @@mr.doctorcaptain1124 as a reminder, everyone, even MrBeast or other rich people like him, are still human.
      Humans don't like going against their morals. Of course, some people have "twisted" morals, but still.
      So to make a career off of lying to people isn't exactly something a lot of people will do.
      There are just *so* many of us that it's a given we've got a lot of them.
      But like 90% of people are genuine. It's the 10% that's the issue.

    when you are talking about the retention pay off and showed clip he also does a shorter hook so people don't click off straight after the tank fire ( says "now lets see if you have any money left") keeps viewers watching till the end of pay off when he hooks them round to keep watching till the next payoff (he does these small hooks every pay off)

    Don't put the suggested video in the middle of the screen. That's where the pause button is, so mobile viewers might accidentally press it whilst trying to pause the video and look at the comments. As a result, they will quickly back out, hurting your retention statistics, which will make the algorithm promote your videos less.

    It’s actually pretty wild how similar the retention strategy is to song forms (specifically a verse, pre-chorus, chorus form) you get people excited for the high points (the chorus) so they will wait through the less exciting parts (the verse) while still utilizing the lower energy parts to help build a story line and characters, as well as make the higher energy parts more exciting.
    (Once again, switch out low energy for verse, and high energy for chorus, and it is still true)

    • @XIGeorge
      @XIGeorge  Місяць тому

    Quick question that’s not related to the vid but just thought I’d comment, how would you go about switching niches?

    • @XIGeorge
      @XIGeorge  5 місяців тому +2

      Great questions!
      I don't personally have any experience in doing this myself, but I have heard other UA-camrs who did this successfully speak on this.
      Firstly, it's important that there's some kind of overlap between the viewers in both niches. If you plan on switching from Minecraft to Makeup tutorials for example, then you may as well start fresh.
      Secondly, many UA-camrs who have done it successfully tend to do so gradually. I'm not sure whether this helps or not though.
      Finally, you need to be prepared to see a big drop in views at first. Videos will eventually start finding the right audience, but it'll take some time for the algorithm to 'unlearn' the data it's already built up.
      Honestly, if you don't have a huge following, my advice would probably be to just start with a fresh channel (unless it's quite a minor shift, i.e. changing video games etc).
      You could always ask your following to go and subscribe to your new channel if they're interested. This way you don't burn the bridges in case you want to go back to your current channel in the future.
      Plus the algorithm learns so fast now adays, that the extra subscribers won't really be of much use, unless you have a very large following!
      I hope this helps. Please take my advice on this lightly though, as like I said, I don't really ave any experience in changing niche.

    • @thisworldshallknowpain-dd4ks
      @thisworldshallknowpain-dd4ks 5 місяців тому

      Thanks for the advice bro. So say for example I’ve got a niche specific channel right now where I commentate over my gameplay but if I wanted to start creating more ‘personality based content’ but still bring some of my niche channel audience would it be better to just create a new channel?

    I like the overal narrative, however I think you oversimplify the concept of "fatigue" with the way things were. You mention people were getting tired of a certain type of content that was "getting stale". However, there's no examples provided. From what I can tell Jimmy's average views were consistently growing even before the renewed focus on storytelling and structure. Apart from that, interesting video

    havent watched the video but I assume it's just leading people from shorts into a full length video through a curiosity gap, I've seen lots of channels that are kind of just wasting their time with shorts content cause they get no views at all on their normal content
    Well I was wrong and the video was more interesting than I expected, game developers use these same strategies too, if a game is always high energy nothing feels interesting so they have to slow things down occasionally and make stakes more meaningful
