- The MK18 has become a staple of Western special operations units. A very common weapon seen in CQB environments, the MK18 has been the undisputed king of room clearing for many years. But how does this short barreled rifle perform in Ready or Not?

While personally I'm not as big a fan of the MK18 for its aesthetics, I feel that it is an effective tool for any and all. It may not be the best at longer distances versus its standard carbine length cousins, parts wear become an issue if not properly configured, and oddly it's very common to see most operators and users fit on a suppressor to gain back performance at the cost of the short length. Granted, a 10.5 MK18 with a suppressor is shorter than anything longer but it's still a funny thing to consider when most want to cut down on length; but can't go too short for performance AND comfort to the shooter and their peers (no one wants to feel their teeth chatter at an SBR blasting indoors).
It's however a sort of baseline of modern AR SBRs, and one that will probably remain a favourite for many. An all-rounder that may not excel in extended engagements and durability, but nonetheless it excels in CQB. And it's an AR, I may be an AK guy but I'll never turn my nose at something that works when it's all I might have
I remember going through a MK18 hating phase during 2014 because I felt like I saw them everywhere. But now that MLOK is the new hotness, I find myself warming up to the MK18.
@@civilianuseonly Sometimes we can only surface level hate something, but deep inside we know that we don't truly hate it.
When something becomes too common it's boring, that's what sparks us the most, at least that's how I feel

I wish the MK18 had flat-top option when using a different sight other than iron in the game.
I thought that was the standard mk18 with full picatinny rails

It’s not gonna pass man, the atf has been trying this bullshit for years now.
Why everybody in this game likes to go semi auto indoors, I haven't played this game yet, but it seems weird, I deliberately go full auto indoors so I can deal with threats quicker and since I don't need to aim very precise, it seems to me, there's little reason to go semi auto except to conserve ammo.
Main reason is accuracy. If you're gunning down a bad guy and a civilian is in the line of fire, much easier to pick your shots with semi

To add from Civilian Use Only, accuracy is key and at the same time, recoil in this game is not like standard shooters like CoD or Battlefield. Recoil can be pretty stout and certainly disruptive on rapid strings, more so on full auto in this game.
I recently got to play the game, but my tactics in tactical FPS are fixed a long time ago, I mostly use sub machinegun(full auto) with deadly precision or a big round rifle(semi auto) that kills very quickly, 556 rifles with medium power, medium amount of recoil and semi auto doesn't make sense to me.
@@ashiagefa646there's literally no need to run full auto lmao. If you can aim properly, semi auto is the way to go.
