Yah just make sure you are taking a perfect 2,4,8 bar loop from anywhere in the song you are sampling, then time stretch it to your daw. Once its stretched you can mess with bpm, pitch, effects, etc .
I dont think Travis Scott used that sample on 5%, I think he used that because of a song that is very old school in the south, we're I am. I can't remember what's it's called but I remember DJ screw using it. That song was 🔥🔥
