Heyaa! I hope you enjoy this one - we absolutely loved our first day trekking in Nepal and felt totally in our element - love to you all ❤and see you again on Tuesday!! We will be uploading on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 5pm UK time for the next few weeks! Turn on that bell so you don’t miss an update xx
Outstanding & inspirational. You are two very special young human beings. It’s like you are maturing into even better versions of yourself whilst we watch. Best wishes 👌🙌
Thank you so much Mick! What a lovely comment, I read this aloud so Isabel can hear it as well. We have been making videos for about a year now, I wonder where we will be after a few years of vlogs. Thanks you so much for watching and your lovely comment
Greetings from London, hope you are enjoying your holiday, reminds me of Sri Lanka a little bit in certain parts. Enjoy yourselves, take care and stay safe ✌️✌️✌️
Hello from Ireland 🇮🇪! Wishing you both the very best on your new adventures there in Nepal you can see the excitement in both yer faces about it all so more power to ye & enjoy every minute of it 👍👍👍👍
Love Nepal, the people are so hospitable & friendly. One thing I'd say in reference to hiring a guide/porter is , it does enable you to put back into the local economy. Plus , the guides have all the local knowledge. It's not a defeatist approach to use a porter v carrying your own rucksack , particularly if your're at high altitude. Not sure what altitude your hike is. Enjoy the adventure.
Yeah, I really agree. When we were in Kathmandu we met a lot of people who claimed to be porters and it never felt that genuine, but being out here in Langtang we have met a lot of porters and guides who are the most lovely people and are really from the area. I definitely feel differently about porters and guides since trekking here, I still think the stubborn me would not use a porter but I would be very open to getting a guide in future (we are quite tight on money this trip though)
I share your sentiment for walking in the mountains, it is a great feeling. Great to see you both reinvigorated at the start of your Nepal adventure. Stay safe.
The mountain energy has definitely revitalised us, it is amazing isn’t it? The difference in how we feel to a week ago is night and day. Thanks for watching JP
I did the Tour du Mont Blanc last month and i agree that walking in the mountains is something special. Best wishes to you both - I do love your spirit of adventure
Thank you for coming to our country I hope you will come again in the future and encourage other citizens of your country to visit Nepal love you so much love you !!!
I’ve enjoyed all of your videos from the very beginning but I have to say I am buzzing to follow this latest adventure in Nepal, keep up the good work and thanks for bringing us along with you🙂
Fantastic👍 You now have the length of the Himal to explore👍👍 Check out the Annapurna Circuit. Walked it in 1992, probably more developed now. Also the Indian Garwhal Himal is beautiful. Have fun, best wishes.
My tip for sweaty shirts is carry a mininum of 3. Take it off when it sweats up and hang it on your bag. It will dry in no tim and put on your 2nd one. If that sweats up before the 1st one is dry put on your 3rd one.. Just keep repeating the cycle. Putting on a fresh top gives a new lease of life.
What a adventure, ye look so comfortable up the mountain. Delighted it's all going so well.Thank you for sharing, except the spiders ha ha,you can keep them off camera bahhhhhhh.
I had just finished watching the previous two videos and was getting kind of restless for the third one and here it is...I am enjoying watching it with my dinner right now. It is another lovely video, every bit of it...and I totally feel you Tom what you said @6:20, mountains gave me a totally different energy as well, it is like being in another world and more importantly feeling alive, it's just you and the mountains and nothing else matters. I feel like I am travelling along with you guys, you both seem so genuine and passionate about what you do. Keep doing the videos, maybe stretch it up around 15 min (I know I am just getting greedy now ;)) CHEERS :)
Agree, having porters carry your bags is wierd. Porters weren't well treated on the Hillary/Tenzing Everest climb. They did all the hard work, got little recognition and some had to sleep outside the tents, due to lack of space.
The most amazing place on earth, I'm so envious of you guys now!! Seriously have a good time guys and watch out for the water, untreated it can make you quite sick unfortunately.🙂🇮🇪
Hi, What a great experience you are having. Lovely to see your joy and enthusiasm at being in the mountains and meeting such lovely people, are the Tamang people closest in ethnicity to the people of Tibet before they lost their independence? I love how you always learn some of the native language wherever you are, you are such a lovely couple. Take care and stay safe and don't forget about the altitude sickness. 😄🏔⛰xx
Yes exactly! The temang were originally from tibet but I think they moved over the mountains around 13th century. The language is still very similar to Tibetan as is their farming, religion and practices.
I wonder how many steps you both did, MANY I'd say!....I am sure you slept well after all that exercise. The views look amazing being so high up. Really glad you are enjoying your decision to visit Nepal....Love Rosemary in Belfast...xx
Hay guys, did you ever think of teaching in a school, as a volunteer. I did it for 2 months, they give me food and board. Also some of the guesthouses you stay, the people might be Tibetan.
You both look like you're loving this, travelling light and stopping with the locals. You can't beat those valleys, serious bit of elevation gain on the walk. Great vlog, could only be better if you chanced upon Bigfoot 👍🤣
I think it’s meeting the locals that we were really craving. The landscape helps as well, it is unbelievable. Will keep our eyes peeled for yetis while in the mountains
Welcome to Nepal, i would request all my Nepalese people to kindly follow and subscribe there channel it will definitely helps them to grow, as we Nepalese alway believe in (Athithi deva bhawa) which means our guest is our God, hope u guys enjoy our beautiful country much ❤ from Sydney Australia
Watched the Everest Earthquake disaster documentary on Netflix last night - that features the Langtang Valley quite a bit. (Worth a watch). The scenery in Nepal is absolutely stunning.
MY PLAN if I were u ppl: Chilling in Pokhara for 4-5 days then trekking to nearby treks which may be (Mardi Himal, Annapurna Base Camp, Annapurna Panoramic trek) and then spending time in pokhara/city area for the 2nd biggest festival of Nepal i.e Tihar (23 -27 oct). After that go to the iconic Annapurna Circuit trek (if u loved trekking ) or else start exploring the plain/southern parts of Nepal ( There are many National parks, Chitwan National part is must visit for Jungle Safari) and stay in Tharu homestay and then to LUMBINI, ‘birthplace of Buddha’ and at last to the Majestic Tea Gardens of Nepal “Illam”. There are also heaven like Rara lake, Tilicho Lake and Shey Phoksundo lake, just search these places even if u won’t visit.😍🥰
Places you recommended are already overcrowded and long known. We should promote new destinations for flourishing local economy. Tourism is not only about mountains and jugles, but also the local culture, lifestyle... In my opinion, the reason why Nepal is not gaining as expected from tourism is, we have not diversify the destinations. Do let it be diversified... Some people want to go Mardi or ABC trek.. some may love some fantastic heritage trails, like tamang heritage trail, mundhum trail, war memorial trail and so on. One very strong impact these trails can make is to diversify local economy, which ultimately contribute in inclusive and diversified national economy. We nepali must think this way if we want to grow though tourism.
Thanks John. What an adventure hey? It’s so nice to see how people are the same all over the world. We couldn’t speak a word of the same language as those kids but we communicated a lot. Thanks for watching as always 🙏
I noticed you removed the tuesday video and turned off the comments on the new one. Unfortunately in this day and age, becoming popular on YT (or everywhere) attracks trolls and haters an negativity in general. Please remember that receiving that kind of an audience only means that more and more people bother to watch - and I can assure you that for every hatefull commenter there are dozens of people who will enjoy your content. People watch for a reason. You bring something that, in my opinion, differentiates you from the majority off the other van life/travel channels. You guys are very pure an hounest, of which the 'leaches' vlog was just an example. Please do not let the negatives change your mental health, your dreams and the way you are (with eachother). It is none of our business anyway. It is your yourney, we're just tagging along and anybody who does not like it is free to watch something else.
You are so beautiful couple well come to our nepal, and thanks for the promoting our nature, trek and our foods, thank you guys, I watched from bahrain,❤️❤️
Use the porter because you are walking at altitude. 2 you are supporting the local economy. 3 They have local knowledge. 4 It take time to acclimatise.
If the captions are right they're still under 3000m, so unlikely to get mountain sickness. Their bags should be manageable, without camping eqpt, but I don't know what all that video kit weighs in at!
