Loved it when we were there this last April, beautiful area.. Luckily there were no Kayaks around when we visited that day.. That is what us Northern's call a "Cluster F*#^@" it looked like a bunch of floating bumper cars....
Great place for a family to walk around and see all the boats and wildlife. Great place to see some dolphin's. Dodging the kayaks and paddle boards will probably be the norm there with the rental place just up at the bridge.
Nice video! My son and I still laugh about our time on Shem Creek. It is an inside joke for any beautiful place he likes but where I am guaranteed not to catch any keeper fish.
please understand...all of these kayaks came from the eco tour buisiness up creek from the pier. most true kayakers will be more careful of this. these people have no experience and are basically lost. please do not think all kayakers are assses.
I kayak on Shem Creek pretty often and I understand how frustrating that must be. I don't think that the people in the kayaks are purposefully seeking out your fishing lines like you make it sound in the video. These people look totally clueless and aren't in control of their kayaks. They're getting blown into the pier because they can't control themselves. Still sucks, but its not a malicious act.
