I did paint pens on my Cooper tires that have lines through em and I think they look fine. Hell of a lot cheaper than these and the letters dont look like theyre standing 2 inches off the tire.
I do agree. Close up they look ugly hanging off the tire and sticking out too much.

Do you have to use the supplied cleaner or can you go through a drivethru car wash when you want to only clean the lettering every weekend?

Try Bleach White tire cleaner from Wal Mart, you can spray the whole tire, its basically bleach. Just use it in a well ventilated area, and try not to breath it in. Works great.

Maybe not the tire manufacturers, but if you go to the website "tirestickers.com" and click on the top link "Shop R.W.L. tires" then "Get a quote" and you should see a request for information regarding the tires and details you want. The acetone won’t penetrate the rubber deep enough to affect what little sidewall comes on cars nowadays
