I’ve said it before and will say it again… the fact that you DON’T do what other car channels do is exactly why your content is fresh, interesting, very educational, and entertaining. Please never beat yourself up over not completing a start to finish project measured in hours. Loving this Celica. Thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
100% agree with this poster. Just keep doing what you're doing. You've hit the perfect balance between being naturally interesting yourself, and providing truly informative and engaging content. You don't gloss over the problems, or the tiny details, invovled in doing such a thorough restoration. The LAST thing the world needs is another reality teevee generic car show about Unobtanuim, burnouts, Bondo or crate motors :)
Bingo. Spot on!
Well said.
@@creamwobbly Great summation! 👍👍👍
Absolutely!
Despite my love of cars, there's only two car related channels I watch. Sarah, and Bad Obsession Motorsport. Both immesnsly instructional, not afraid of the little details, and above all, entertaining. Frankly I wouldn't care if the Celica took as long as Binky. Every episode is a treat.
I'd like to take the time to thank you for creating such consistent content. Don't apologize for taking real time on these projects. Your attention to detail speaks volumes.
Pin this to the top!
Sarah in full Sarah mode is best Sarah of all.
So much YES! to this.
This should be pinned.
YES
Sarah in full Sarah mode IS Sarah -n- Tuned! (Sarah Tuned -n- ?)
@@jfan4reva Definitely!
Details matter! I've seen SO many 'professional' restorations with crappy trim, sketchy wiring and overspray visible in door jambs and under the trunk and hood. It's so satisfying to watch your work.
Not many UA-camrs will work through the Holidays, especially on tedious content that is not a Vroom Vroom and smoking tires. Keep up the good work so we can get to that point.
I love the parts where the stuff in Sarah's brain just...spills out into the world. So funny!! Also, I'm impressed with her passion for this project. Can't wait to sit it finished.
I believe I am one of many thousands who enjoy you as a human and what you are doing for content for you to do basically anything you want and we will still watch.
M539 proves that a lot of people (million plus) will watch car repairing/restoring over an hour every two weeks...
I'd watch much longer versions of Sarah doing her cars.
Just have to love ❤️ her attention to detail and her sense of humour that Is what makes Sarah the cut above the rest
@@marcusott2973 Sarah should try posting a longer version of something like this to see what happens. Her thought process , love for the project and quirkiness is so endearing to other petrolheads that grew up with a Jeremy Clarkeson oddball affection for cars. You are the algorithm E85 turbo restoration Sarah this is 1974 vintage wonderfulness and we can't get enough of it.
Would love to see that
You’re funny, you’re smart and you’re awesome with cars. Girl don’t you ever cut yourself short
Love anything you do, BECAUSE you don't cut corners. I love all your 90*'s
Dave Coulier..cut it out, wu-Tang Clan forever, trim, pretty up this hole😂😂😂. Perfect send off for the year
Die Hard is THE Christmas movie.

Don’t ever change. You have that rare quality, actual charm. Not to mention superhuman perseverance and serious skills. I’m perfectly happy to watch you cut holes in carpet. In your hands, it transcends the mundane and becomes a thing of joy.
Love it when a new "Sarah" pops up! Great project, real fab, real resto.
Keep doing what you are doing.
Not cutting corners, doing a quality job instead of a rush job just to git er done quicker, that is exactly why we stay and watch your videos.
I simply love your eye for detail. Keep these videos coming!
That was great - I know it must be frustrating to you how slow and unfilmable much of that work was, but it did give us a video chock full of Sarah banter and humour, so really enjoyed it. :). It's great you were able to get those dented trim pieces looking mint!
When glueing down larger sheets of fabric or similar, lay it out on the surface first. Line it up. Get it sitting right. On shaped surfaces, rub it in. Stretch it. Get it seated into the shape. Lay a sheet of plastic over one half. Then fold one side over onto itself carefully, giving you the plastic between to protect from over spray. Then apply the adhesive in small strips at a time to both surfaces. With your hand behind the fabric, work it down onto the surface. Pull up short of the last bits of adhesive. Spray and repeat. Then do the same for the other side.
This way you’ll never have creases, you’ll never fudge the whole job. It will be perfect everytime. Far less stress.
Keep checking your hand hasn’t got glue/adhesive on it to avoid rubbing it into the fabric or vinyl.
Nice 👍🏻 love this
I learned this after botching the first vinyl floor job.
Massive respect to you sister for keeping things as original as possible.
I don't know anything about Celica, but I do recognize craftsmanship when I see it.
Owner of a Citroën CX25GTI & a rare CX2000 Club.
your attention to detail, and work ethic, It's no wonder your projects turn out amazing!! This one is REALLY impressive!!👍👍 All the best to you in the coming year
This car build has been a joy to watch. Do I really care about a Toyota Celica? No. Do I enjoy watching passionate, creative, talented and entertaining people? Yes.
I absolutely enjoy watching your builds they're filled with lots of useful information and the innuendos are always on fire ! Happy New Year Sarah ! Thanks for a years worth of laughs and giggles, I great appreciate everything you do and Thanks for keeping it real !!!
I know at least one MC that appreciated your ‘Hammer Time’.
I think you're right, it can be satisfying getting the rubber into the trim instead of a piece of foam. 🙂
No need to feel the need to say you are sorry, I appreciate the thorough video guide! Your whacky humor is delightful, change nothing!
Your attention to detail is one of the reasons I enjoy your projects so much. Keep up the great work.
Getting a sewing machine is a whole new fun rabbit hole to go down. :D
Thats why i watch you Sarah, you do quality work, don't rush this job you do a great job and I've learned so much/
Your content is exactly what we want and why we come back. Don’t second guess yourself and just keep going.
Yep, it's always "Best" for the carpets and the drapes to match. 🙂. But I thought it seems like everyone today is going for hard and smooth flooring🤔. I mean who likes rug burn 😛
❤😊😂
i like the extra smooth flooring.
My 'burns' have been proudly on display badges of honor 😋
I've always had more fun playing on turf....
Sarah- The reason we all watch you because you don't do 24 hour builds. If people want instant car rebuilds with reproduction parts there are plenty of other places to go watch them. I appreciate your skills and that make every effort to actually restore the car with original and OEM parts whenever you can. Keep up the great work!
Hey, you are smart and self-aware! But also, you should be proud of your uniqueness and quirks, they are what make you so fun and interesting to watch! That and your insane level of perfectionism and just the right level of restoration. You rock!🤘
I love following this Celica build! We love what you do and how you do it! The fact that you aren't doing the same things as others makes you a million times more interesting! Keep being you girl!
With a title like this.... This video will blow up internet searches.....🥰
Sarah, you are the one rebuild/restoration channel I trust. Most of the other ones make it look like they've waved a magic wand over a rusted turd and - VIOL-LAH! - they instantly have a best-in-show custom resto-mod with a custom interior, hot-rodded engine, and fifty coats buffed and polished 'House of Kolor' paint job. With an unseen crew, it all looks like there's nothing to it.
But you show it like it is: do-overs, screw-ups and all, but I would drive a car you built.
Sarah is always very nicely color coordinated 💃❤️🔥
Great avatar! Carl TX
Bloom County - the anti - bain of my '80s 🤤
No one could ever throw you away. Wu-Tang, Vintage JDM and Sarah are forever.
My fave project was the Quattro, but this project is the most awesome ❤
Sarah you are an absolute gem, not only do you do things right, but you make us all laugh in the process.
It's a pleasure knowing that you do your best on these projects. It really puts you "head and shoulders" above so many others.
"the carpet knows where it is by knowing where it isn't" omg I love this channel so much
Have a safe, fun New Year's Day, Sarah.
I’ll be working 🫡
If you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life.
I’m here so I won’t see half-assed results. I can appreciate craftsmanship. Never Compromise! You’re doing a great job.
Never ever apologise for doing the work you do 🙏 your work ethic & attention to detail is never surpassed & thank you from all of us for all the content you have provided so much pleasure throughout the years 🙌 wishing you happy new year 💖🤗🌺🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧
Making the frameless window gaps and their operation is a time consuming project. You did an excellent job.
Gotta say the interior is already starting to look a lot better.
I still can’t believe the difference in the carpet. It’s beautiful. Love brown interiors.
Ha! Loved the SNES reference. I still have my original one my sister and I got for christmas the year they were released.
Great job on the glass and trim. That frame-less design is cool, but dang that looks tough to put together.
And don't worry, I haven't seen a video of yours that hasn't been interesting. Keep doing you. Take care.
It's looking like a real live Celica once again. Great work.
That might be the greatest Title for a UA-cam video ever. Love your work, Happy New Year to you Sarah.
We are not the "bulk of internet", f.. them; your way is the way we love you. Thank you for being yourself. Cheers Sarah.
Just the very greatest content creator! Happy New Year to the hardest working of them all! Much respect ✊
Quality over quantity every time.
This is why your subscribers love your videos, the attention to detail is immense!
Now go and have a rest over the festive period!
Thanks!
The missile knows where it is because it knows where it isn't.. which was an Air Force training reference as far as I know .. and I work in inertial guidance .. so, yeah, well done callback!
Happy New Year!🥂
Just keep doing what you've been doing for years now, that's why i watch your channel.
Nice work as usual Sarah! I don't know if anyone has mentioned it but you can use a punch and heat it up to put the holes for the belts and seats in the carpet its keeps is from fraying and its super easy. I learned it from Vice Grip Garage lol and it does work I've tried it 😁
You are an inspiration to anyone who has ever wanted to restore or glow-up their car on their own. Don't change a thing.
I can tell you are into the project because of the way you sacrificed your down time with family and friends. Looking forward to seeing the end result. There are techniques to get the carpet installed, but you got through it just fine.
I find myself being inspired IRL by them there videos. Whenever I clean behind a thing where nobody will ever see I have Sarah to thank.
Engines are nice but I’m really enjoying the interior restoration videos! It’s all part of the total restoration package and it’s all fascinating. Plus, all the outtakes that are not taken out are funny! Love it! Great video!
Don’t apologize. Just you be you! I had that car when I was 22. You’re bringing back Great memories !
Excellent job, as usual. Take your time and do it right, that is why you are the best on the Tube!
Absolutely hilarious and entertaining video! The Dave Coullier quote only works if you do the hand gestures associated with it. As for the windows, door cards (amazing that you want to take that on!) and the carpet; your attention to detail is remarkable. Keep being you, that’s why so many people are watching! ~WilPaul
Take your time with the videos. We will be here. And your channel is growing like crazy turnups
Yes, target is important but road there is much more pleasurable.
Out of the 178 UA-cam channels that I am subscribed to, a significant number of them being related to cars, I wanted to let you know that your channel is the only one I consistently watch. Whenever I see that you have uploaded a new video, I get genuinely excited and make sure to watch it immediately. Your content always brightens my day and I appreciate it greatly. Thank you sarah.
I appreciate seeing this kind of stuff and you make the videos entertaining enough to fill any voids in the lack of exciting work. Great job on both fronts, keep it up!
The attention to detail is much appreciated. All of those little things done in a hurry detract from the whole project. In the long run I think your approach is the best. Thanks for the effort and showing some of us how far some patience and elbow grease can go!!
I for one, of most likely a lot of your viewers, like this part the best. Maybe because I have rebuilt a car myself from start to finish and yeah, this is the most time consuming part, but this is the part where you will be the only one who know each and every “flaw”, because you have the intimate knowledge of every part of the car. You did an excellent job of showing the details and extremes you went to, to make it perfect, without making it boring.
There are other “car build” channels, but none of them compare to the quality of your’s, and that still be the case even if you were not the hottest car chick in the world, with mad skills, too. We adore you Sarah, and what you do. Happy New Year.
I will take the marathon approach over the sprint way any day. Your being brilliant at the basics is what I love about you. No apologies needed, attention to detail is the what defines your work.
3:23......nice camera angle on your face
Sarah,
I really appreciate your knowledge, expertise, and your mistakes! So refreshing and honest.
Keep doing what you do!
Thank you Sarah for your mechanical expertise and the vision you have for your projects! You are smarter than the average bear. Working by yourself is really, really tough, along with running commentary. Happy New Year to you Sarah and all the people who show up in the videos. Oh yeah, Does Charlie have a website or UA-cam channel?
We watch you because you don't cut corners. Unless there are actual corners to be cut, of course, your scissor work is great! Keep up the excellent work, and we'll keep watching.
You talent shines through on even the most challenging details. Thanks for another addictive episode. Happy New Year 🎈
A tip for the next time you are fitting carpet, put the bolts (or a short piece of all thread) in the floor holes, lay the carpet and then go around with a hammer or mallet and give them a few taps to mark the back of the carpet. Then you can remove the carpet and cut the holes out.
Also, you'll need a walking foot industrial style sewing machine to get through thick material like carpet, plus domestic machines don't have the large stitch lengths.
Keeping up the high standard of videos as we all expect of you! I’m sure I’m not alone in saying you are by far my favourite UA-camr.
patience? lol, these are some of the very few videos I never skip forward
Great job on the video Sarah! Thanks for making it.
Your unerring attention to detail speaks volumes about you. Mad respect…
I love your detailed progress! Great video! Have a happy New Year!
Please do not apologize for the video. I have a project car of my own, and to see what it takes one person to achieve the quality build I have in my head, is nice to see. It rakes one person alot of time to build a car, anyone can throw a car together with in 24 hours, but to truly build a car takes awhile.
Love your videos Sarah, keep em coming
You ALWAYS make your vids interesting, and never rush. IT's great learning to see just how long stuff takes! Those 24-hour turn around things give people huge misconceptions on what reality is.
Another great video, this is my fave build of yours so far. Keep smashing it!
I love how I have no idea what order these videos are supposed to be in, but I am having a ball watching them and it doesn’t seem to matter!!! Awesome original content and please keep at the detail and precision you go to!
I love your videos the way they are. Keep doing what your doing 👏
Loved this video. Your skills along with your quirky sense of humour with occasional adult undertones and your self deprecating commentary is totally engaging. Keep up the great work. The fact that you’re also gorgeous is the icing on the cake.
Hey Sarah, great job those windows can really be tedious And your videos are always entertaining. I love this kind of stuff and I love your sense of humor. Have a great one.🐧🐧🐧👍
I do not watch any of those time lapse videos of builds, of anything. I love seeing the almost real time builds. Plus your humour is grade A. But, I'm here for the car ultimately. I had one 30+ years ago. And the attention to detail you are doing on this build is great to see. Restoration. Brilliant. Oh, and wookie pubes.I never, ever thought I would hear that one.😂
I literally love this channel. Somebody on youtube actually really shows how working on old cars truely is. Have you every thought on working on a BMW 2002turbo? And, have you heard of Alfaholics Sarah? I espect you'd love their approach to retro mod old Alfas.
Your videos are close to my heart because my very first car in the early 90's was an 82 Celica. I'm new to your channel so missed watching all the videos to your Celica build. It would be awesome if you strung all your videos on these Celica's together as a full build as i would absolutely watch a 3+ hour video on any of your builds. Love your work! ❤
You are one in 100 million Sarah. Happy New Year!
You're doing a fantastic job on every phase of the project. This is reality...it just takes time to do things right. Stay true to your values and take a break when its no longer fun. I love that you take time to film and share your thoughts..
I like when you cut the jute, not corners on this car. Besides I'd gladly watch how you adjust the rear-quarter glasses, in all the gory details.
Seems like I keep repeating myself but I really appreciate your sense of humor. I also appreciate your attention to detail, especially the small details. Those are often the most important ones.
Please, please don't change how you present your videos Sarah, they are the highlight of my week!
Camera angles were perfect just as your Celica creation is perfect. Love your videos.
I chuckled with "cut it out" but I lost it when you said "the carpet knows where it is because it knows where it isn't".
Absolutely loved this video. Very entertaining as always. Its you that makes all the hard work so interesting. Thanks for another wonderful year and can't wait to see what you get up to next
I’ve absolutely loved watching the entire restoration process on this car!
