The Thomas Eriksen Podcast #25 - Apollyon (Aura Noir and more) PART 1

- Episode 25 came around! I was honored to have the great Apollyon (Ole Jørgen Moe) stop by for a party and a chat. And what a chat! Four hours plus into the mic’s. We had a good time with beers and Fernet Branca, which obviously made the time go by unnoticed. I will not rob you for anything, so I’ve decided to make this a two-part thing. This is filled with interesting stuff and stories!
Part one is presented to you right now! Enjoy!

FANTASTIC EPISODE. Thank you. I booked/co-produced the last US Aura Noir tour and it was a blast hanging out with these guys! What a ride! I definitely remember dropping them all off in LA and let them do whatever they wanted until the show, and Apollyon had gone to In'N'Out Burger, which I guess was on his must do list, and I was pissed I had no time to do that, haha. Fleurety's main guy was also in town and got pretty wasted, had a big cowboy hat. When I realized who he was it was too late. LA show was the best of the tour!
Great stuff, Thomas, when will you be uploanding the second part of the interview? Can't wait. As a mexican youngster I listened to all these bands, Aura Noir, Ulver, Darkthrone, etc, etc and I just can't believe that all these guys were almost my age and were already great musicians, that's crazy and deserves a lot of respect. Also, when you listen to all this music you have the idea that these guys are always mad and are unapproachable, but it's actually the contrary, these guys are really easy going and cool. Thanks for doing all these interviews and showing this side of the musicians. You rock, man.
cracking up at Frost's cat attacking Apollyon from all angles haha
A podcast with Carl-Michael Eide would be great.
And Rune Eriksen.
Yeeeaaaahhhh
THIS
Yeah he has been in so many good bands. Ulver, Satyricon, Dødheimsgard, Aura Noir, Ved buens ende, Virus and many guest appearances. He must have good stories.
Love these podcasts! Looking forward to the new album!
Great episode.Cant wait for part 2🤘🏾
I saw Aura Noir in a club in Vienna some years ago - it can never be forgotten! Intense show - and great podcast once again, btw!!!
this is so great! Love hearing you guys just shoot the shit and hear good ole stories.. Hails from Canada and keep the episodes coming. Cheers!
Apollyon: Mmmm...you mean Black Thrash Attack?
Thomas Eriksen: I don't know what I mean, what's the first thing?
Apollyon: I don't know man
That had me belly laugh pretty hard as it sounded like the most typical thrash metal conversation 😂
So refreshing to finally hear a Norwegian artist NOT praising Helvete or pretend to have hung out there!
Another excellent interview Thomas. I'm definitely looking forward to the new album also \m/
Fucking awesome interview. Can't wait for part 2!
Great!!!
The very start reminds me of my own biography. Got piano lessons at the age of 7 as my parents wanted so, my piano teacher was very impatient and I hated it.
@J. Eagle no, bassist
I really like the Gorgoroth live in Krakow in which Apollyon plays with Infernus on guitar
Gehennah! Fuck, I forgot about them "Piss off, I'm drinking!" 3 solid d-beat albums.
Nice!
fernet is no joke! great buzz, but the flavor takes a little getting used to!!!
Possum Altar till death.
Does Mindy ever go on tour with Mork?
this Eriksen dude should stay the f*** away from the beers (or whatever he's on), as he is becoming more & more annoying w every sip ... However, many thanks to Apollyon, hailzz
Then you should avoid Part 2. Even more beers. And any future episode , come to think of it.
they just sound like two dudes talking, he's not overbearing or anything
