Hi Tom, I don't blame you for not following the herd: I actually do like the Speedmaster, but the service costs are eye-watering... I do wonder how much of the appeal of the Speedmaster is down to its history and associated marketing though, rather like with Rolex. Actually, I don't think that there are any unpopular opinions here: it's a friendly channel... 😊
Hoping to see the new Skipper in person. I tried on the dome crystal blue dial 39 mm and it blew me away. Heuer seems to hear what their fans have been saying lately.
Many thanks for yet another enjoyable video Barry. As for the watch? Pretty as it unarguably is, at five grand (£5000)) that date window leaves a lot to be desired. I expect it must have been a slight continuity glitch but seeing the date flicking between 6 and 7 with neither digit finding the centre of the date window, both preferring the left. I found the whole experience a tad unnerving lol. Loving how you get to show us such an eclectic selection of decent watches though . Frances and Gaye must surely be something of an asset to the Midlands. Well at least to us watch enthusiasts. Anyway I'm off. Have a great day bruv Toodle Pip!
Hi Peter, I think the 6 was off centre because I may of wound it back to get the 10/2 position for the hands. The 7 looks to be central in the rest of the video matey. I have a very funking watch video coming out Thursday it's a beastie . All the best :)

Look harder. The dial has a truly subtle sunburst texture. I can even see it in your awesome video. I own the black 42mm. And the sunburst is even more subtle and finer than my Pelagos 39. Highly underrated chronograph 🏎
Hi Tsw as much as I look back a that the video I can't see any engraved lines on the dial at on , is there a point in the video were you can see them ? ps I'm hoping to review the Pelagos 39mm as one of my subscribers has one 👍🏻
Yes. Look around 2:16. It's very subtle. But it is there at around the 2 o'clock marker. Definitely there. And definitely on my black 42mm 02 as well. TAG even classifies it as Sunray brushed on their website for this specific watch. Their dials are underrated. As are the watches. They have an in house dial company, Artecad. They're also highly, highly Swiss, vertically integrated and very misunderstood🍻
I like what Tag is doing, but recently I asked Tag about the antimagnetic quality, more so the hairspring silicon act, the response I got was no antimagnetic quality, strange one thinks as I do know tag do make there own hairsprings in carbon, so if that is the case I will pass on it. I always compare brands like for like and price, for me Longines Spirit Chronograph watches are brilliant long power reserve, silicon hairspring and accuracy top notch. The tag Autavia flyback is a lovely watch, but for the price and no antimagnetic properties is a no go.
I have a watch demagnetiser they don't cost much and only takes a push of a button and it's done . I do agree the silicone balances spring is great unless your a watchmaker because if there is any problem with it it has to be replaced which is expensive were as steel based ones are possibly to fix and come years down the line you may not be able to get a replacement silicone one . The greater power reserve is obtained by slowing down the beat rate which makes the second hand run less smoothly around the dial . Either way both are very cool models Alan
@@ClickSpringReview Yes I saw the video on the demagnetiser, they are good, but Tag are not cheap compared to other makes that are, and use antimagnetic materials, a lot of cheaper brands do use these like Oris and Certina. Its a shame tag don't use these, but like I said a few years back Tag developed their own hairspring based on Carbon, I'm just surprised it is not used across the board. Keep the vids coming doing a great job.
I'm surprised they don't have any antimagnetic balance springs as you say many others do. I would say its still worth having a demagnetiser even with these other watches as they can still pick up some magnetism 👍🏻
@@ClickSpringReview Yes Barry you make a good point, I love to compare brands to one another, I aim to get probably 3 Longines in the near future, if I have say 6K to spend I rather have 3 watches of good quality in my collection than spend it all on one watch. Im a bit hung up on accuracy so a timeagrapher would be good to have to. If possible could you do a video on the Certina action diver Powermatic 80 or the Hamilton Murth watch, don't think I have spelt that right, well just a thought for the future perhaps.

The 2023 TAG Heuer Carrera 39 Glassbox is also a beauty. Plus, with a somewhat updated movement. They're definitely one underrated brand.

Its 48mm Bob so its only .8mm longer than a Rolex Submariner so should be ok
