    I feel like this video gives more important info than the actual training course through dream catchers. And the lady in that video tells you to use hairspray and the thought of “but it’s alcohol based” went through my head

      You can use a small amount of hairspray to control flyaways, but it must be dry before applying extensions. There are also hairsprays that are alcohol free.

    • @Dreamcatchers
      @Dreamcatchers  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, so that way you have full control over the hair, and will reduce cross hairs or an unproper install. depending on the system installed, you can wet down after and allow the natural curl pattern to reform if the client would like.

    How long can tape extensions be on hair, can it be used again several times on hair, will it hold on the hair without falling off, does it feels like our own hair when we wear it, would the attachment still be invisible on short and thin hair and can it make hair worn?

    • @sigridvanosch1990
      @sigridvanosch1990 3 роки тому

      Yes, you can retape them. After 6 weeks it's best to redo them.Whether it feels like your own hair depends on the texture of your hair and the extensions. I've had Asian hair for a while but now I'm getting Brazillian, which feels closer to my own hair. In this video she uses russian/scandinavian hair. I think it's a little thinner than Asian.

    • @Dreamcatchers
      @Dreamcatchers  3 роки тому

      With what Sigrid said is correct. I wouldn't say it is thinner though it does vary brand by brand. The extensions can be worn for months and months depending on how the client takes care of them. They do need to come into the salon every 4-6 weeks for maintenance.

    Hello ! PLease answer one of my concerns !! I love your work but i was wondering if is it completely necessary to thin out / shatter the hair before tape ins?? I have a long bob and my hair is pretty dense but i wouldn 't wanna mess up the haircut and the ends

    • @zanepurvina1804

      No you definitely don’t need to thin it out

    • @Dreamcatchers
      @Dreamcatchers  3 роки тому +2

      If you don’t thin a dense bob, you will have to add more extensions to blend it out, but it’s always your call! It doesn’t have to be done, it just makes it easier to blend :)

      @@meganjones6354 I used tape-ins for years. I haven’t lost a hair that wasn’t supposed to fall out as my hair would naturally lose. My thought would be that whomever took them out, needs to use more product to release them and didn’t split them at the top to allow the product to penetrate and also didn’t allow the product to sit long enough before removing them. They seriously just fell out of my hair and I was able to reuse them a couple of times (they were really good quality) by taking off the old tape and reapplying new tape and they worked well. I feel horrible for you, I had such a great experience but the glue remover was a huge issue for sure. I wish I could remember the name for you.
