    UPDATE: Hey girls! I know in the video I say the packs come in 100 grams but they have since changed their packs to 50 grams. So just keep this in mind when you are shopping, you might need to pick up more packs. The brand has also changed their name from West Label to Ouielle.
    Sorry for any confusion!!

      Thank u for the tips. I had extensions put in 4 the 1st time and I wanted to find ways to do it myself instead of having to pay someone 150 dollars every 4 to 6 weeks. I still have problems blending and can't wear my hair straight since my hair is thincker than extensions even after a wash and flat iron. I do t wantto have to keep adding packs of hair and that's the most nerve racking thing about the extensions

    Pro-tip: I have very fine hair and always struggle with hiding the tapes around my hairline and my nape so what I do is cut the sandwich in half. This way, you have smaller tapes that can be hidden a lot easier around the edges! I also use this technique of cutting the tapes around my face to give it a more natural/blended look.

The only bit I'm not too sure of is how do you blend the last top part of your hair, obviously that will be my own hair, which is short so I'm hoping it blends well and dusn't look stupid. For the top part, if your hair is super short it kind of is what it is unfortunately. Even for this set you can still where my hair stops. The best way to make it less noticeable is to bring the tapes up as high as you can on your head and if you like you can cut some layers in to the extensions as well to kind of disguise the shorter layers of your own hair.

    I wore tape in hair extensions for 8 years. Lucky for me I have very thick strong hair. LADIES if you have thin hair AVOID AVOID AVOID. You will 100% get traction alopecia after prolonged wear, it means the extensions will pull on the hair, weaken your hair follicle until it dies. If you MUST wear them rotate one month the upper head and the other month the lower part of your head. Also do microneedling for your scalp to keep the follicle alive. Add in strong scalp massage /flipped head once a week for 10 min and take hair supplements. I just took my extensions off and I am grateful I still have a lot of hair but others with thin hair are struggling with very little hair left. Good luck to everyone.

      Been wearing tape in hair extensions for almost 6 years. My hair is very thin but I only place it on where my own isn’t too thin, otherwise it will definitely cause traction alopecia for sure. It truly depends on placement. I’ve never had an issue.

      This greatly depends on the method you use, brand/type of tape, brand/type of extensions, what products you use on the hair, and what method you use to remove the extensions. To say that every single person with thin hair should "AVOID AVOID AVOID" is an irresponsible statement to make.

    Loved this tutorial! You did an amazing job explaining the whole process. How did you end up blending the extensions with your natural hair? I have shoulder length hair and always ask for tons of layers when I get new tape ins so that they blend when I curl my hair

      Layers really help! For this set I just brought the tapes up as high as I could on my head to help with the blend. Ultimately you can still see where my hair ends but it makes it less noticeable if you bring the tapes up as high as you can and add a few layers :)

    Are you supposed to use a straightener to melt it together after like I have seen in other videos?

    🍁🍂 Very nice step-by-step; after installing my tape-ins, I flatiron each sandwich approx. 2-3 seconds to ensure adhesion.

      I was looking for this comment! I’m about to do my own tape ins and wondered if I could do this

    • @JannaNiki
      @JannaNiki  Рік тому

      I used to do this! But then I was told to stop doing that because it can actually weaken the tape. Maybe it depends on the tape brand?

    If I have two tones do I add the lighter shade on top of the darker shade in the sandwich? Or vice versa

    The way you did it, are you able to put you hair in a high ponytail or is it done to where you will always have your hair out?

    How would this look on someone with 2-4 inch hair? Does it still blend well?

    How would you go about this if you just wanna add volume in the back? I got a short Mullet but the hair at the back of my neck are really fuzzy n go in all directions all over the place. I was thinking that 3 pieces with each a top n bottom tape would be plenty to make it look a lot better. Any thoughts?
