This is the best review I’ve ever seen for this product. The fact that you tried it on your clients and we were able to see the results was just what I needed to see. You got my sub! Keep making great videos!
_Roseeee beetles gel started kit is really good and affordable mine just came in yesterday and my mani came out amazing ! I recommend only 56$ for a starter kit !
Don't do it. I got them in March. They aren't beginner friendly. They never dry under a 48 w uv led light. I wish I'd tried them earlier so that I could have returned them to Amazon
I ordered these as soon as I saw your video! I’ve been using the base coat and top coat Gelish brand and I thought those were the best at some point because they were expensive, but OMG as soon as I tried the Beetles brand I noticed a massive difference!!! I love it so much! After three days the Gelish one makes my manicure so dull. Highly recommend the Beetles brand!
I am so happy you had the same experience I had in the shop. This brand is truly on point I’ve got some new stuff of theirs coming out a haul of some new products is getting posted soon and I will be doing first impressions and reviews next 🤗
Rewatching this cause I can't decide if I should order the beetles kit! This video is so helpful, your clients are awesome for being a part of your experiment! Can't wait until they're back to test out more when quarantine is over!

I purchased their product based on Amazon reviews and I just tried it first time on my toes, I'm so glad it did well for a professional! I have been getting my toes done for about 2 years and I finally decided to take a dive and dyi it.. mostly because my last gel pedi popped off before I got home from the salon lol I figured if I invest $200 into the products I will still save a ton of $$$$ within first 6 months! Great review! My concern is how it treats my natural nails. About two years ago I was gifted a set (dont remember the brand) that was purchased from Amazon, and it WRECKED my nails! It took nearly a year to regrow them and build their strength back up. I want to make sure before I purchase Beetles that it won't damage my natural nails that I have worked so diligently to rebuild their health.
Hey I've ordered about 30 colors and experienced great things with the matte and shiny top coat! Their lamp is great too! Thanks for this video confirmation!
I'm glad this worked pretty good because I just bought this brand plus colors an haven't used it yet. I love nail polish and have about 150 bottles in my bedroom plus pretty much everything else a professional shop would have. When I'm bored I do my nails or "play" with the practice hand. 😆 🤣 . Hi! Thank you for this. It’s unfortunately not easily accessible in Australia!! But looks fab. Just out of curiosity, what is your opinion of Le chat gelös for loosening gel polish?
Thanks for the video! I recently bought a bunch of beetles sets. I've been using gelish for years, and thought I'd try something new. I was actually quite disappointed with the beetles... literally 1 day later I'm having chips! I've never had that problem with gelish. I've tried a couple different times thinking it was a fluke, but sure enough... chipping within a day or two! Any tips that could be affecting this outcome? Using the ph bond from gelish, base coat, 2 coats of color and the top coat, and use cuticle oil afterwards...thanks!
Thanks for the video. I just recently purchased the bettles starter kit and I was wondering if I could use the bettles base and top coat with other gel polish brands. I will say that after trying bettles polish it doesn't last 3 weeks without alot of chipping. But overall I like the bettle brand and the money that I save doing my own gel polish at home. 9:19
thank you so much for this video, I was looking for this exact kind of review because I need to determine if im switching from beetles to something else
i really like the colors that the Beetles Brand offer, but i also love the colors from the brand Gellen. im currently using the Gelish top and base coat. can you make a video for gellen vs gelish?
Yayy I’m so glad you’re testing all the these. This is exactly what I was looking for. Now I can get the tea 🍵😍 THANK YOU! New sub here 💕 I’m gonna be stalking your videos.
Hi! I do not use any primers or bonds whatsoever so I really wouldn’t be able to tell you what is the best brand although most of them are pretty much the same thing. And yes Beatles gel polishes cures in LED lamps 😉
Loved this video. I have the Beetles polish, base, and top coats, and no matter what my gel polish seems to chip and lift. What are your thoughts of structure gel?
I loved beetle at first, and it’s my first experience with gel, but I get chips after one day. I am constantly washing my hands at work but idk, maybe I’m doing something wrong. I cure it for like 2 mins just in case. I do all the nail prep before I paint so yeah I just don’t know.
Most of that has to do with the process. If the process of the manicure is on point almost any product will give you a good long lasting where. Sometimes the strength of the light can contribute to the issue as well. I gave a super thorough review on this product multiple clients trying it out and since then have had people purchase it and have great results there’s got to be something causing the problem that can be fixed but definitely make sure process is on point I’ll be touching up on this again really really soon!!
Mine too, I use the dehydrator, and primer, base coat, color , top coat. I have the Beetles uv/led light. I use 120 seconds on each layer and yep, peels up and chips. I use my hands in water a lot.
This was a great review! Thank you for the multiple comparisons on current different clients. I do have a couple questions though, as a new DIYer & 2 1/2 years late to this particular party. First, how long did you cure each layer? I know I probably don't have the same lamp, I'm just looking for a ball park. Second, I'm curious to know how quickly the chip or tip fail happened on the client's left index finger. As a retired army helicopter mechanic, details like this matter to my analytical mind. Did it fail tight away or did it take 12 days? Also was the cause of the failure an exceptional situation or just repeated action? Thank you for the very thorough thought process behind this video.
Wow! You are a gem UA-camr! Thank you so much for all your hard work to help us save time and money! So happy I found you! Keep up your sensational detailed research and observations. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🥰
I bought some Beetles polish and the colors are not quite what I want, however, I think I can get the color I want by mixing two colors together (of the same Beetles brand). Is this ok to do? Thanks for video! 😄
Instant sub!! I used to do my own nails but stopped for a while, i recently decided to get back into it (because the salons just don't do it for me) I ordered most of my products from amazon but my tops coats and a few other things from somewhere else. I knew they were gonna take a while to get here and needed a quick polish that I could get here in a week because everything else came so quickly (praise amazon). This video was EXACTLY what I needed, extremely thorough and informative. My order was placed before I even made it to the end. Thank you so much for really dedication your time to real experiments you and your clients are top tier.
I have reviewed quite a few of the brush on removers and to be honest neither is convincing. Besides the horrible smell and the sensation my clients felt it did not save me any time and I’d rather use acetone I feel like it is much safer versus a bunch of chemicals that you shouldn’t even allow your skin to touch but definitely check out those reviews I’ve done at least three or four different brands of brush on removers
As of right now Gelish is still my number one. OPI and DND have definitely come through the best when it comes to durability. Beatles is a great product especially for the price. Ps. I’m actually going to be doing a follow up review on OPI and DND since those did the best in the ones that I reviewed so far I continued using it for over a month each product and I’ve definitely found more things I’d like to share to help people know more about each one of those. And I’ll be trying out Beatles Matt topcoat soon 🤗
Thank you soooo much for your integrity. I started with Gelish however I'm truly one who budgets. I was able to glance at Beetles and witness its shine difference compared to Gelish however I still did not purchase the brand crazy thing I invested in other brands holding similar prices. Your video has now compelled me to, well let's just say allow me to get back on Amazons web to order needed a review
I would definitely use a base coat no matter what it will ensure the best and longest possible adhesion but no, if applying to an acrylic nail that is prepped and buffed you could really get away with not using it but if there’s lifting then there’s no real way of telling whether or not it’s because of not having the base coat.
Thanks for these review, well explain and exactly the info that I need to buy those. Because swatches in a tips you just can see the colors but you don't really know if it's will last on a real client. Thank you so much.
I did the beetles gel polish on myself and noticed with the matte top polish, it does stain! I’ve only done this once haha on my fingernails and toenails! So far my toenails have stained a lot darker, but stays the one shade of stain haha if that makes sense! Also! By any chance when you have time! Could you do a video on how to apply gel builder with an extension on the natural nail?? :) I love how informative and detailed you are! ❤️
Emsters Qui even stain what more can we ask for! LOL makes it look like it was on purpose LOL it is very possible that overtime I’ll be going over extensions I do want to touch on all aspects of nails I will def be getting there!
I know this video is old, but I am new to the whole nail stuff like the acrylic and the gel polish and the first brand I bought was from Beetles. After the second time using it I noticed I got little bumps on my fingers, and my fingers were itchy. At first I thought maybe I wasn't cleaning my supplies but then I realized I would get an allergic reaction after the product touched my skin. I love the colors it has to offer so I just wanted to give this warning but I do think using the gel for designs won't give you allergic reactions. Also just be careful it doesn't touch your skin because Ive gotten the allergies many many times because I love this brand so much I can't stop using it and the allergies really suck😅
Love you videos and I would love some advice. I love the wear I can get from the beetles base and top coat but I only have one problem. When taking off the polish, i buff the top layer and soak cotton balls and use the finger clips to keep them in place and I keep it on for 15-20 minutes and then push off the flaked off nail polish but for whatever reason near the tips of my nails the polish will never flake off! After flaking off most of it I then resoak my nails for longer in acetone and still even after another 15 minutes the polish isnt flaking off from my tips so I eventually use a scraper and scrape it off which I know is probably not good for my nails. I would love any advice because If nothing else works I may just try a different brands base coat and see what happens.
Hi I am so sorry for this late response. Beatles gel polish can definitely be a little bit of a challenge when soaking off that polish definitely stays on there. The only thing I can tell you is just to be patient and ensure that you buff enough of the thickness/top layer to make it easier to soak. The reason the tips is harder is because it’s generally a free edge and you don’t have that nail plate underneath to keep it stiff so as you’re trying to scrape it the nail is bending making it difficult. You definitely want to make sure that you were using a sharpish cuticle pusher if it is dole it will definitely make it harder. And for me changing the angle at which I am scraping makes a big difference if you follow me on IG I will be posting a video on how I handle some thing that’s a little harder to scrape that’s actually a really great idea thank you for this comment I’m sure a lot of people are struggling with this and there are definitely ways to make it a little bit easier without damaging your nail. I will be posting it within the next week or two! @oh_my_gel
How come you don’t need a primer before the base coat? I’m new. All mine peel off in sheets after three days of dish washing and working with my plants.
Durability of a gel manicure always lies within the prep of the nails. I have reviewed and test it out all kinds of gel polish from the cheapest to the most expensive and I always get a good long lasting where in my reviews I tested out among at least three different clients anywhere between 2 to 4 weeks of wear so that you could really see the consistency it’s all about the prep. Definitely make sure do you watch my videos on my waterless manicure process I’ve gone over each step and I’ve recently posted new videos regarding man but I have a couple videos from a year or two ago that go over it as well check those out and practice will definitely improve!
I wonder if the chipping is because it’s on natural nails? I get gel nail polish put over my acrylics and they don’t chip. I wear them for 2 to 3 weeks and I do a lot of hands on work in my profession.
Natural nails have a very flexible surface so if you’re bumping your nails a lot or they’re bending a lot it’ll start cracking and that’s where the chipping will come in so yes having a hard surface under the gel polish can help minimize that. However as long as you have a good application and prep process you really should not struggle with chipping. I don’t use any hard gels or acrylics in my shop and my clients rarely ever experience a chip they usually wear their nails for more than 2 weeks at a time and they stay perfect 😉
Really liking your reviews. I am a nail Technician as well and have been using a handful if these products you are reviewing. One video I would love to see is the removal process of Beetles products. I found that Beetles was a lot harder to remove than my go to Gelish; made it not so time efficient for my clients and I
Hi!!! Yes it is definitely a little harder to soak off the only thing I recommend with soak off polishes that are a little tough is to make sure you file the top layer of gel very well get down to the color, but always be careful you don’t file down to the nail plate. When you were scraping off only scrape what is easy to takeoff if there is still product that’s a little thick file a little bit more re-saturate the Cotton with acetone and let it soak for another 3 to 5 minutes. A little more tedious but you definitely want to make sure you take your time to do it right so that you don’t damage the nail plate
Great review! I switched to beetles from OPI. The 2 larger bottles of Beetles base gel and top coat I have auto sent to me for $6.79 for BOTH!! They are on there now 2 of the 15 ml for 7.99( not with matte) it’s Base and top. Don’t spend too much on gellen. Every other polish from amazon you can return but my fluorescent gellens they would not take back 5 coats to cover lol!
I love this review. It’s the best on this product so far. I only wished you had used the Beetles based coat instead of DND. Nevertheless I’ll be making a purchase. Thank you.
I think I may have reviewed that one already 🤔 I can’t remember I would have done it last year or year before check it out. If I don’t have them it’s def on the list 😉
Right now I can't justify a whole new collection of gel polishes because I've got around 50 bottles of regular polish to use up first. My job as a grocery cashier is brutal on my manicures, so knowing that this is a good option with various brands of polish really helps. Thank you.
Hi, do you cap the free edge when doing gel base and gel top coat? I’m having peeling issues. I am however doing dip powder nails and using gel base and top to finish them off.
I noticed when I used beetles too coat that after a couple of uses, the product seemed to have some stringiness in it which would get in the clients nails, making it more difficult for a flawless look. Has anyone else had this issue, or maybe my bottle was just a bad one. It still works pretty good even so.
Hey! I’m so sorry for my delay I’m so glad that I saw this. I didn’t have any issue when using the remainder of the base and topcoat that I bought for this review. However I have experience that issue with other brands. Not consistently. It could just be something in the brush or some thing that got into the bottle and contaminated it. I would definitely buy a second set of base and topcoat try it again and see whether or not you got the same issue. I hope this helps. And if I find any more information about this I’ll make sure to let you know 😉
I’ve always used beetles gel polish I do have nearly have over 150+ bottles of gel polish all mixed brands but I mainly use beetles and I’ve got more coming today I can’t fault them in anyway I just wish they had bigger bottles 😊😊😊😊
UV vs LED lights curing, etc.? Wipe or no wipe? Base seems sticky even after curing multiple time. Wiped with alcohol & ok but idk nervous to put color on
Most gel cure with the sticky layer ( base coats, color coats and top coats ) the only one you want to wipe off is the topcoat once everything is sealed and done; unless you’re doing art and are wiping the nail to have a clean and sticky surface. You always want to use a high-grade alcohol for this process 99% or as close to it as possible do not use acetone and using a lower percentage alcohol just takes away the shinny-ness a little bit
any tips on the sticky layer that doesn’t come off no matter how long i cure the gel for? even did the whole wipe thing and nothing works. i have this brand and used the base, color, and top coat and did the thin layers and still nothing works. im afraid to remove the press ons from my stand because they will get damaged
Most Gel Polish has a sticky layer after you clear from base coat to the topcoat. Some gel is a no wipes topcoat or all in One and those generally do not have that sticky layer. I recommend using pure alcohol 90% or above but you can wipe it off with 70% alcohol or even acetone but I don’t recommend those because it definitely could affect the shine. Anytime you’re having an issue with gel polish not curing it is most commonly a result of the light either being worn out already or not strong enough in wattage. If you don’t mind my asking what are you using to wipe off the sticky layer from the topcoat? And what type of gel curing lamp do you use?
@@TheNaturalNailGuru thank you for your response!!! ❤️ i definitely think its the lamp not being strong enough now that you mention it , im using the beetles collection and i see and saw a bunch of amazing reviews on it so i purchased a couple different colors from them and i was upset because the colors are beautiful but it just kept messing up! lol
I have always mixed and matched gel polish brands and have never experienced an issue doing so. In my experience you can use all soak off gel products together, companies cannot guarantee the quality of their product when you do that but I’ve never had an issue 😉
This is exactly the type of review I was looking for. Thank you so much!

Oh My Gel I can’t wait for the review!! I love your videos so much 🥰
Beetles work good on acrylic too?
Just got my order in for beetles, is the base coat supposed to be sticky even after going in the lamp?
Thank you soooo much for your integrity. I started with Gelish however I'm truly one who budgets. I was able to glance at Beetles and witness its shine difference compared to Gelish however I still did not purchase the brand crazy thing I invested in other brands holding similar prices. Your video has now compelled me to, well let's just say allow me to get back on Amazons web to order needed a review
Why the stains with the gelish side?? Do your clients work like in a salon??
Finally a well thought out review of Amazon gel nail polish.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Many more reviews to come 🤗
Which opi did you use on the second hand? A regular one or gel? I am new to this. Thank you
Thank you for making this video! It was super thorough and informative!
Okay one of the best review videos I’ve seen😍 thank you so much!!
Heidy Zamora more to come and always on point promise! 😉💅🏻🤗 Thank You!!
You are the best! You do just what I was looking for, I have learned a lot with you, great job, thank you very much! 👍
Makes me so happy to hear that! So much more to come I promise 🤗
This is the best review video for this product by far. Thank you so much!
🤗🤗🤗🤗
Soy nueva en su canal me podria decir con q limpua Las uñas despues q termino
Do u need to use the foundation on an acrylic nail as well? Like apply that to the fake nail before putting the color?
I would definitely use a base coat no matter what it will ensure the best and longest possible adhesion but no, if applying to an acrylic nail that is prepped and buffed you could really get away with not using it but if there’s lifting then there’s no real way of telling whether or not it’s because of not having the base coat.
@@TheNaturalNailGuru thank you!! Is it the foundation first and then base coat or?
Love this video. Thank you for putting so much effort on comparing the Beetles brand 💫
Esperanza's Vida always!!! And so much more to come like tons more!!!! And all reviews will always be just as thorough maybe even more so 😉💁🏻♀️
Thank you! This was an amazing review! I’m so glad I saw your video. Keep up the great work!
Leah M thank you! I’m so happy you enjoyed it!! Much more to come 🤗💅🏻
I recently ran out of my violets gel top coat so I ordered the beetles top coat and base coat and it comes tomorrow
Very thorough. Ty. I'm a beginner and just ordered the beetles &looks like I'll keep buying :)
Olivia Upchurch yes! Beetles Are super great quality especially for the price. Many more reviews are coming so stay tuned I have so much to share🤗
Thank you! This info will help me purchase on a budget. Starting my nails at home journey.
Omg thank you for this review shoot. This was amazing. i can't thank you enough!
@@TheNaturalNailGuru thank you I have been devouring your past videos on the playlist. And I ordered some cute cal gel last night. I’m excited.
Can u tell me i am going to buy beetles top coat so is it result is as rosalind no wipe top coat ?
GUMMY Jelly LED/UV Diamonds Gel, Base Coat, Shine E Top Coat, Matte i want to see if you can review on this one
I have watched lots of videos. Yours helped me a lot now I have finally deside my top coat
In many cases just filing the top layer very well makes it much easier to soak.
By the time I finish getting to the last nail I start all over again from the beginning to finish scraping off what needed a little more time.
Amazing review!! Exactly what I needed.
Hey can you apply clear acrylic first and then the foundation and then the color and then the top off gel plz respond ASAP I have a client Tuesday
I have the same question.
So helpful! Did you end up reviewing modelones and gellen?
Rechama Shaw working on modelones!
Thank you.
Excellent review!! This is exactly what I want and need from a review. Congrats!!! 💖 👏👏
Denisse de los Santos 💚💚💚
Did you prep the nails before?
just got this . Whats the difference between regular top coat and matte?
Shiny vs dull 😉
Hi Which lamp are you using to cure the gelish top coat??
Can you review if the modelones gel colors work well?
I think I may have reviewed that one already 🤔 I can’t remember I would have done it last year or year before check it out. If I don’t have them it’s def on the list 😉
Amazing review! Had to subscribe! Keep up the great work!
Right now I can't justify a whole new collection of gel polishes because I've got around 50 bottles of regular polish to use up first. My job as a grocery cashier is brutal on my manicures, so knowing that this is a good option with various brands of polish really helps. Thank you.
Once I apply the foundation, do I need to cure it under the lamp first or can I add color then cure?
Can you tell us which colors you used on each client?! :)
Hi, do you cap the free edge when doing gel base and gel top coat? I’m having peeling issues. I am however doing dip powder nails and using gel base and top to finish them off.
yes always!
No allergic reactions in any of your clients? With the beetles brand
Please could you review the Gellen Brand from Amazon I've never seen it before so I'd be intrigued to see how it works😊xx
Added to the list! I’ll be reviewing Modelones next 💁🏻♀️
any tips on the sticky layer that doesn’t come off no matter how long i cure the gel for? even did the whole wipe thing and nothing works. i have this brand and used the base, color, and top coat and did the thin layers and still nothing works. im afraid to remove the press ons from my stand because they will get damaged
❤️ i definitely think its the lamp not being strong enough now that you mention it , im using the beetles collection and i see and saw a bunch of amazing reviews on it so i purchased a couple different colors from them and i was upset because the colors are beautiful but it just kept messing up! lol
Hii do you know any top coats that don’t need a uv light? 💖
It also depends if somebody is right handed or left-handed. My right hand chips like crazy and my left hand is always perfect after two weeks.
This was super helpful!! Ordering mine soon🥰 Thank you!
hello, what is the brand of bluish color that you used?
That was a while ago but I do believe it was OPI “dreams need clarafication”
Thank you so much for this review! I use gelish and beetle and agree with your conclusion !
Qq,when we do a full set of nails,do we need the base coat?or can we just use the gel color without thebase coat ???please
Thank you! This is what I was looking for! New subbie!
I’m so happy you enjoyed! So much more to come 🤗
Hello my question is with can used any branch gel polish color with beetles brand
I have always mixed and matched gel polish brands and have never experienced an issue doing so. In my experience you can use all soak off gel products together, companies cannot guarantee the quality of their product when you do that but I’ve never had an issue 😉
