I have been a loyal Samsung Fold fan thru the Zfold5. However, until we get a real redesign and camera upgrade they have lost me as a customer. If this is the Zfold 6 then hard pass.
You have that option and good luck. The Z FOLD is so much more than the camera. If all you're concerned about is an excellent camera than you're better off anyway.
There is absolutely nothing here that causes me any envy as an Oneplus Open owner. I ditched the Samsung Fold 4 and never looked back, I was hoping for Samsung to give me a reason to return, but this seems like the 4th iteration of the same form factor. I hope the cheaper version sells great and gets Apple to give a foldable a try. I'd love to see their take on it.
Same here. I just came from the Fold 3. I wanted to try something different, while waiting to see what Samsung is doing. Seems like it'll just be more of the same. I'm not an Apple guy, but they would absolutely dominate the foldables if they got into that field.
Two major issues with the Z Fold is the crease and the narrowness of the outer display. OnePlus Open is superior for this reason.
will the open work with the galaxy watches? Software and my watch are the main reason keeping me away from the open.
Very interested in Z fold 6 if it has a wider front screen. I will however hold out for a while to see if Google decides to release their second foldable version in Australia - they ignored us for the first version
I agree with fold 6FE would. Sell like hot cakes. But I also like to see a fold 6 ultra for those that want ultra experience in the fold.
Ross Young of DSCC also said it's cheaper model without digitizer (no S-pen support) instead of more expensive version, corroborated with the news from SK that there's cheaper version of ZF6.
Did i hear you correctly that you are having an issue with a screen defect on one of your folding phones? Im curious which one and what happened? Apologize if i missed that in a previous video.

Completely disagree with OP that Samsung needs to go FE. People who buy Z Fold isn't looking for inferior spec phone. Ultra is what's needed. People willing to spend $800 just wants a decent candy phone.

Yeah but the fact that Foldables are so expensive are what keep a lot of people from pulling the trigger on them. The FE could bridge the gap.

I'm eyeing the best that Samsung has to offer, yes a foldable with better cameras, better battery, a Built-In SPen silo, please! But it doesn't look like Samsung is delivering...
However, I do think that offering a more budget version is a good move overall. Foldables are gate-kept by price for many. The likes of an FE would drive up sales, which can result in more R&D into the foldable line. Hopefully resulting in better, and more numerous features in the future. Just my 2 cents.
I like fold up unitl my fold 4 suddenly not open flat 100% after 8mos 😢😢 never been drop never veen near beach sand or debris .i just notice something weird sticker cameout in hinge then the problem starts of not opening flat sad
How important is the crease to you? I expected to trade for the open only for the screen and go back to the fold 6 for the software. I've since had my opinion of creases change drastically. I cant stand the deep reflective crease on the z fold.
I'm honestly not really bothered. Less crease is good, but it's no deal breaker for me.
@@scaryifliteral my biggest issue with that crease is long term viability. I can't help but notice a lot of people after a year have to have their screen protector replaced cause it doesn't adhere anymore. That kind of crease causes air pockets as you keep opening and closing the screen. Maybe they fixed this for the fold 5. I certainly had issues with it on my fold 4.
Unless the 6 gets a good bit thinner … I’m playing with the V2 and it feels so much better in use than the ZF5.

Samsung is not able to "reverse engineer" the Huawei fold fast enough to implement in this next Fold 6. You will have to WAIT further until Fold7. Fold 6 will be THE SAME old form factor and nothing new except tiny fluff tech things. Like some AI or software. We don't even know if it will improve in charging speed.😢😢😢
@@Maxx134a nah buddy ,as a fold user I don’t care about making it so thin it compromises the structural integrity, jerryrigeverything bent the fold 3,4 and 5 and they have all survived ,same can’t be said about the toothpick v2 ,the 5’s width isn’t bad ,it’s almost same as my 14 pro max while somehow feeling lighter

More than ever it will be around the self-confidence of Samsung against the competition. I have always been a big fan and supporter of Samsung foldables but the fact is the current model is outdated in many aspects except for the firmware and software optimisation. I am really curious and hope that Samsung is NOT too self-confident and makes changes that puts its hardware on par with others (not necessarily better, then the FW and SW will make the right impact...).
Ditched my Z Fold 5 and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Got the Oppo Find N3 (which is same as the Open) and OnePlus 12 ... Gamechanger :-D
I don’t think it’s going to be a zfold 6 ultra I honestly think it’s for a specialty version like a anime show version or a special bts version which they have released multiple times in South Korea in the past. The states always get boring mid tier upgrades each year with almost zero innovation and change. They also need to bring back the thome Browne edition but not charge 4 grand for it because that was the fold to get in the past but priced out of the most consumers ability to buy it.
I purchased the ZFold 4 a few years ago and the front display was a deal breaker for me. Then I purchased the Pixel Fold but didn't care for the software experience. I wrote off folding phones realizing that folding phones weren't for me until I tried the OnPlus Open, the Open has been an amazing phone for me and don't see myself purchasing the ZFold 6 unless they can make the exterior display wide like the Open

Hope the battery is better iv had fold 3 for 3 years nearly and I get 2.5 hours out of the phone not open just on Facebook or tiktok. Have to walk around with external battery with me.
Fold4 and Especially 5 have way better Battery than the 3.

We don't even know if they improved the charging speed. There is nothing really new with this next iteration. Will have to wait for Fold7 before there is any real changes.
I only want ONE thing from the Fold6 and that is the OnePlus Open 's screen size and aspect ratio. I fear that will not be the case and I'll be sticking with my OPO. Not the worst thing in the world, though.

@@kaianthony8077 agreed! My laptop and tablet are both Samsung and I like the OneUI OS so it would be nice to open the Z Fold6. But, if it's not significantly wider, I'm sticking with the OPO. It's a great phone!
I need a new phone my screen on my galaxy fold four is messed up. I feel the new fold 6 is not getting a big enough screen. Plus, not sure if its worth it . I do like the feature it remembers your passwords. Sense I keel forgetting them. I'm thinking on getting the pixel 2. That has a nicer screen ratio. Can u tell me does pixel have the feature were it remembers your password and u just have to put your fingure on the sensor button?

I'm not buying the $800 Z-Fold rumor. A foldable that drops $1000 must have a lot of compromises and if you want a foldable at that price, just go online and find a refurb or gently used Z-Fold 3 or 4 and you're golden. $1800 is the ceiling now for foldables and nobody wants to broach that price point so even if the Ultra Z-Fold is coming, it's going to have to stay around that mark and perhaps the regular Z-Fold will simply get a price drop to $1499-1599 range. All we can do is guess right now.
I'm moving away from foldables. I had fun with my zfold, but for a phone this expensive I expected to get more than 2 years out of it. Performance wise it's still ok, but there is a significant drop in battery performance and there are small cracks in the foldable part. My new phone might be Nothing phone 2, see what that's like.
I'd check out other foldables. Samsung is too expensive for what they're offering.
I've heard great things about Nothing.
Maybe check out OnePlus 12, also.
I've been a diehard Samsung fan boy for so long but I finally made a tuff decision and traded in my Z Fold 5 for OPO and I'm happy with my decision. I will return to Samsung once they remove their head from their butt and give the customer what we're asking for. I would like to try other foldable not named pixel or duo. Hope we here in the states can finally have more choices.
An £800 z fold will definitely mean very very low specs. Going by the cameras in the current z folds I can only guess the cameras and chipset they put in this model will be extremely low spec to the point where you wud have better specs in their a55

How about Samsung gives us S24 Ultra display on outside screen and then dual foldable S24 Ultra screens on the inside of the Z Fold 6 with the same Camera set up and features as S24 Ultra like the S pen. I don't even care if they charge us $3000 for this device so long as they promise 10 years of updates.

Hardware wise maybe. Samsungs Fold software is still the software king. As long as all the others don't have a separate outer and inner homescreen it's a no go for me. It's not workable for me if the unfolded screen acts like 2 outer home screens next to each other. It's fugly to the max. I really can't wrap my head around it that the other manufacturers don't realise such a simple, but important thing. And of course the S pen support. I can't live without the S-pen. The only and big problem Samsung has is the narrow outer display and maybe not the best camera set.

Unfortunately I've grown tired of Samsung's stagnation. I'm on oneplus open now and I love this phone. There are some software features I though I was going to miss from the fold but I've found almost perfect copys for 98% of that software that I utilized now. As folding phones they may have lost me as a customer cause there hardware leaves a lot be desired.

There needs to be a global release of the ultra. Samsung has been stagnant with the fold line from the 2 to 5, now they want to go backwards to an FE model. What a joke. All other brands are pushing boundaries and Samsung says "No, this years phone is going to be worse than last years" lol, reminds me of the stunt that Apple pulled with the iPhone 14 having the previous year SOC. But at least apple give everyone the chance to have the latest and greatest. Please Samsung do a global release for the z fold 6 Ultra.

Especially the Front but the Main Screen too on the two are more narrow.
The Front Screen in the 2 Had less Resolution and only 60Hz.
But yes, you could say they stopped evolving but that would Just be wrong.
I'm not saying that nothing got upgraded, but the 3 4 &5 are basically the same phone. Compared to oppo, xiaomi and even honor, samsung seems stuck in the mud. I have the oneplus open now the form facter is more functional for me, I can actually use it when it's closed. It was £1250 but came with case, charger, buds pro and a fitted screen Protector 12gb ram and 512gb storage. If you put oppos 3rd attempt against 5th samsungs oppo/oneplus takes all day long. I imagine most people who go for the Zfold were people that had ultra phones before and they like big screens and no matter how great 1UI is, it just doesn't make up for the narrow front screen.

Z fold 6 is an absolute joke. Samsung has completely lost their way. It's Ultra Fold 6 or bust... period. If they come out with a Fold 6 it will be the end of them. 3 generations of nearly the exact same phone.

Please please do not buy the 6. It's the same thing over and over again. Their starting to become worse than Apple... I'll hold on to my fold 3 until the design is more like the OnePlus and the cameras are more like what people deserve...
