    I love how educational this video is. I'm definitely giving you guys a call soon. Mike, dont stop posting videos! I've been searching for information about leaks at the cove joint for almost a year and I called a franchise company but I wasnt sold on their solution. My scumbag builder put hydraulic cement at the cove joint to band aid it and get by the 1 year warranty. This video is the best explanation and makes the most sense on how to stop water. I didnt even know about the slab under the wall. I'm so glad I ran into this video!

    We have a local waterproofing company that is popular and they use that plastic tray garbage on the footing and I just shake my head at how much work they get. When the time comes for my basement to be done, my first question to any contractor is if he puts his system on the footing. If the answer is yes, it's have a nice day. There's the door

I was literally five minutes away from calling up one of those 'box franchises' and signing on the dotted line then I did a last minute youtube search to see alternatives. They almost had me on the hook but my intuition told me that their system didn't make sense so I went searching and watched all your videos.

    Quick question. When installing the pipe by the footer do you need a pitch to it that way it flows to the sump pit? I’ve seen videos saying yes and no. Just trying to DIY and do it the right way.

    • @premierbasementwaterproofi9106
      @premierbasementwaterproofi9106  3 роки тому +3

      Try and get a little pitch. Water moves down hill so very little required. Just a hair will do. That way you don't have water in your pipe to introduce humidity in the air.

      There is no "mud zone." That's a sales pitch. The pipe will be surrounded with stone. When there's no footing they put their drain in the "mud zone." All those drains are trash!

      Pitching any pipe is elementary. This pipe takes much more water than a typical solid ADS. Only time we use solid is for high iron content. Otherwise, this pipe is much better. It's just 4x the price. Well worth it!
